coast but we were wrong I think I don't remember how it started what we were talking about or anything there was just a moment that we realized the light was getting closer and closer and we frantically grabbed our [ __ ] we started climbing back up to the car all while keeping an eye on this light and all of the sudden the light almost turned revealing three big lights and they were all coming right at us it got to the point where they were probably 50 yards away my friend was stuck in her tracks just staring at these lights and they were still heading right towards us so I panic I grab her by the jacket I start pulling and yanking her back into the car and when we got to the parking lot I shoved her into this car I watched the lights take a sharp turn and duck behind some Cliffs to our right and I scrambled to get into the driver's seat I started the car and I [ __ ] booked it out of there we were shaking we were screaming we were trying to make sense of what we just saw we ended up getting home with no problems thankfully but this experience often creeps its way back into my mind and every time it does I try to logically make sense of it but

the lights came out of nowhere making no noise and navigating around the sky like no aircraft I've ever seen Karin you might know how clear the night sky is up in rural M it is so clear that sometimes you can actually see the Northern Lights that's how clear it is I've seen satellites planes helicopters shooting stars and meteor showers these lights were none of those things if they were some sort of aircraft then someone has a silent aircraft that can maneuver like nothing I've ever seen before and if someone cough cough the government does have a silent aircraft I wouldn't be surprised but what the [ __ ] are they doing out in rural Maine I also wonder what would have happened if I didn't book it back to the car with the craft still duck behind those Cliffs would it have stopped right in front of us would we have been abducted I don't know man anyways I love you Ghouls and the Pod I tried to make it to the Portland Main show but I had some family stuff going on and I couldn't sneak out in time to catch it and I'm so bummed

over that time what we were super freaked out trying to figure out what this could be neither of us were on drugs both of us could see it we could describe the same exact thing and after another half hour it completely disappeared into Blackness I would have said maybe we saw the lunar eclipse as my best scientific explanation but the moon had already been out that night as the moon comes out much earlier in the evening here and I feel like it doesn't rise at 3: in the morning and then disappear by 5: the whole thing just felt like a shape being projected in the sky or like some kind of large scale top secret test that had to be conducted late at night so that no one else would see it which is weird because we were in a pretty populated city even if it was that late at night I fully believe in the moon and respect all the science and the work that scientists do to learn more about it and space but this really did seem like it was this additional fake moon or at least that someone was trying very hard to replicate the real one unsuccessfully either way it was super weird super creepy and made that night even more memorable for the both

but in order to repent for this sin I quickly binge through and I now almost 150 episodes in way to go Jess I don't have any personal ghost stories fortunately and unfortunately but I do have some strange family folklore to share I grew up in the foothills of Southern Virginia in the Blue Ridge Mountains a beautiful but highly Rural and sometimes backward Place cue the banjos it was a small potion town full of fields and wild forests and an assortment of odd characters and hand me- down Tales storytelling has always been a big part of the culture and I've inherited a few stories that I still don't know what to make of two of the Tales come from my maternal great-grandmother who lived to be 99 years old which she partly credited to chewing every bite of food 36 times for most of her life so does she have OCD cuz if she's counting how many times she's chewing every food do you not remember being told you're supposed to chew your food like 27 times before swallowing no I was

never given a number I don't remember specifically the number but it was like 20 something times oh my mom said that I over chewed my food as a child like before they could even tell me to chew my food I was just like you're like a little cow going ham on one piece I just wanted to liquefy and mush down my throat so when my great grandmother was raising my granny they lived in a super rural town called Callaway this would have been in the 1940s and my great-grandfather had to get up and head to work when it was still dark out he would walk down a Wooded Path to the main road my great-grandmother said that one dark morning he was groggy walking down the path with his lunch pail and went to climb over the gate where the path met the road but just as he approached it a little green glowing man thing creature something suddenly appeared and said this is how I get over what and it hopped over the gate and disappeared into the darkness are you kidding me was it an alien a leprechaun I have no

idea that really got you it like speaks perfect English no accent just like follow me oh my god really trying to integrate with the humankind it was at the same house in these same Woods that my great-grandmother said she was cooking in the kitchen one day when she heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs she turned to see what she did described as a centaur coming down the stairs through the kitchen past her and right out the front door she said the bottom half had four legs and the top was a man wearing a white shirt that had blood on it she followed him to the front door and once she got outside she saw he was gone she then noticed apple cores with clothes pins attached to them were falling from the sky she went out into the yard and looked up and saw they were coming out of a vortex in the sky over the house now not apples apple cores

with clothes pins attached out of a Vortex after seeing a centaur the world you know normally I'd be like where the [ __ ] do you live but you already said this is in the Appalachian in a ryal town called Callaway Virginia Southern Virginia appalachin Cryptids I don't know if these stories are a bad game of telephone pass down great grandma getting into the liquor cabinet or another example of how strange the Backwoods of Appalachia can be strange and mysterious things have happened in these Woods that particular patch of Woods has felt off to me my whole life and it doesn't help that there's an old forgotten graveyard in this spot or unfortunately that the body of a young woman was hidden there decades ago after she was murdered my other unexplained story comes from my dad I'm more apt to believe this one because my dad is a non-believer and a strict eye roller when it comes to in his words nonsense so if he says it happened it happened my dad was a big deer hunter and when I was little one

day he was up in the woods behind our property in his tree all was quiet and all was still the woods were empty he heard a rustling and looked over out at the hillside to see a local man who lived on the other side of the woods walking alone about 100 yards away he was muttering to himself looking around as if he was trying to find something my dad just watched silently didn't make himself known because truth be told this guy was really socially awkward and hard to talk to so my dad kept quiet and hoped he'd continue walking without spotting him the man would walk a little ways stop look around in every direction it was as if he'd come out there on a mission to find something in particular after a few minutes of watching this man my dad heard aoud look behind you my dad said the words seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere as if they were the voice of God although it wasn't God my dad knew the voice it was the distinct voice of the father of the man my dad was watching my dad had grown up around them and knew that voice well this man's father had passed many years

animal or another crypted creature or something to beware of just a warning but it felt like the way that I'm understanding it is like it's early morning this guy shouldn't really be in the woods it feels like the spirit of his father was trying to show him I'm I'm thinking buried treasure he's looking or something this is like one of the oldest mountain ranges out there things can be buried deep deep Treasures within maybe Atlantis is actually just buried somewhere in the Appalachian Trail in the mountain range are taking pictures of Leia yeah she the way she's sitting she has the top of like a a plant leaf over her head it kind of looks like an umbrella I want to see send me the picture here wait I'll just turn us she's lounging oh cute this story is so wild too cuz

it's there's so many different creatures there's like a little green man who's like here's how I hop over and there's like a centaur in Grandma's house or something there's there's just so many different types of creatures it's not just like oh that's clearly a you know flesh pedestrian or whatever there's so many things but the little green man is making me think of dwes and just other like histories and lore from different cultures like across the world where they talk about these like very small little people yeah but I like how like Pleasant and happy he was this is how I get over oh man he's just happy to finally help someone poof I want to experience something like that yeah I would love to experience that but I also just love the way that these stories are told through Jess's family and I cannot wait for Jess's grandkids to hear the story about the app cores falling from the Vortex from their great great great great
