night when I go to bed because I need noise yeah the one I watched last night was wild so it is the murder of Peter Porco and his wife and their son had done it and it's a solve murder the son has been put away and everything but they were a to death it's so horrific and horrible really disturbing way to take someone's life but the part that I'm bringing up is so Peter Porco was was in bed when his son came into the house and he was whacked in the head with an axe 16 times the wife was hit three times and at some point the Peter Porco had regained Consciousness after being axed in the head 16 times and the way that his brain had been damaged his like Consciousness was damaged which was like the top part of your brain I'm not I don't know like I don't remember the specific term for that portion so anyway so like he couldn't really like feel or

understand the pain and what he was feeling but the part that performs like the more Primal second nature routine portion of your brain was not damaged so when he regained Consciousness he got out of bed went downstairs made breakfast got the newspaper literally went outside picked up the newspaper he accidentally the door closed behind him when he went to get the newspaper that he got the key that was in the plant Potter or pot plant pot why does that sound so weird the planter the planter thank you the planter that was right next to the door opened the door and I don't know how long because I mean no one really knows the amount of time he spent doing this morning routine but he after going back inside lost Consciousness fell and passed out and died at the foot of the stairs oh my gosh this is so upsetting too cuz it's like if the right person had gone by in that moment when he got himself locked

my parents bought a big new dreamhouse and a brand new subdivision it backed up to the woods and a creek and in our minds only old houses were haunted so when we moved in we would routinely find Shards of a mirror in strange places when none of our mirrors had broken and then we would also sometimes feel like we'd bump into someone invisible as we were unpacking our boxes but we were able to talk ourselves out of anything too scary of course cuz it's a new house it can't be haunted no alarm Bells didn't start to sound until one day I was working out on the elliptical in what had been intended to be a storage room as it was a storage room it had no lights no TV nothing at all except for an egress window and the elliptical and all of the sudden I felt something sharp drop onto the top of my head ow I took off my headphones and I looked down and there was a Shard of a mirror that had fallen on top of my head from absolutely nowhere what I ran upstairs and even though it was definitely odd there was

nothing anyone could do so we just continued about our lives that's so weird I know this almost reminds me of when we were in this or I was alone in this particular room and like none of this stuff was here when dirt just manifested and fell like it was I was standing where you are actually probably like perfectly where you are dirt come to me yeah until one night myself and my friends were playing Po in the basement and my mom and dad were fast asleep in bed on the third floor out of nowhere my dad who staunchly never believed in would snore like a freight train and had literally once slept through an actual earthquake shoots straight out of bed in a panic my mom watching Frozen with fear and my dad just says did someone just pull your toes my dad looked all around the top floor which is where their bedroom was and the floor plan was open the floors were notoriously creaky but he didn't see or hear anything I love that he is staunchly against the Paranormal but doesn't say did you just pull my toes he knows that someone else pulled his toes somebody's there's a toe pull or a foot yeah

I love when it works out like that that was amazing both of us it worked a pun it came out a to puller a foot my brain is catching up to my words that was good that was really good about a month after this I was on my computer with my friend and chatting with our other friend on AIM I'm old we were on amm too like I'll never forget the sound of like the door swinging open when you logged on or logged off and all of the sudden the brand new computer we had just bought because I fried the other one with lime wire of course started typing I am a man I am a Layman man I am from Georgia over and over my friend and I freaked out and we called him mom in and she sees it and she just shuts the computer off in a panic later that week the same friend and I decide to go down and expl of the creek as we were

terrified of the computer now and when we get back no one is in the home there's no better way to get the kids outside than a ghost typing you on name hunted on the computer no one is home we decide to take some showers me and my parents bedroom and her in my bathroom we know my brother and his friends will be back soon so we both lock our doors fairly soon into my shower I hear the doorknob jiggle I yell out that I'll be done in a minute but the jiggling continues so I get out I wrap a towel around me and I open the door but no one is there I go to the bathroom and my friend is still in there the door is still locked and the shower is still running so I told myself I'm just hearing things so I get back to my shower but the second that I turn the water back on an invisible hand slams so hard against the glass shower door that I jump and I run out of the shower I'm genuinely shocked that the glass did not break from either the ghost or from my panicked exit that was the final straw for me that night I stood in my bedroom I summoned up all the good energy that I could muster and I said out loud I a child of God you cannot be here it's scary scary now not

demon you're about to okay this is a longer one it's from our listener low she her and it is called Dominic the demon astral air travel and my mom's possession story he Ghoulies my name is low she her and of course I must start with the obligatory I love the podcast oh I'm a longtime listener and a longtime procrastinator so here are my ghost stories finally thank you both for the many laughs chills Spooks and entertainment over the years I've listened since episode 3 and I love watching the podcast grow along with you both I have quite a few ghostly Encounters in my life but I thought I would send in my longest haunting a quick astral projection story and then a bonus truly terrifying encounter that happened to my parents love it I'll try

my best to give you the cliff noes version did I age myself no we use Cliff noes of each of these stories but as someone who feels details are crucial for setting the scene this is likely going to be a long one so buckle up and hold onto your butt I thought you were literally about to grab your butt I'm settling in I'll probably fidget and move again in just a moment but okay this first story is one that truly changed my life I had lived in Portland Oregon for a year after college and during my time there I fell into sadly the darkest depression of my life and I ended up moving back to Southern California to be closer to my family and get my mental health back on track at the time I was working for a company that was entirely remote this was pre-pandemic so it was not the norm but I was very isolated most of my days which did not do anything to help my mental state however shortly after I moved back the company decided to host our yearly planning meeting in person at the Mission Inn in Riverside California

which if you haven't researched it yet this is a must do for the podcast oh okay I think I have seen this it's beautiful I saw this as an opportunity to try and connect with my co-workers and I had high hopes that this would be a step in the right direction towards healing that being said I was still very much in the thick of my depression and had a very heavy sad aura about me which explains a lot of how the events later unfolded when I first arrived at the hotel I was struck by how ornate the building and Decor inside was the place a definite Vibe though I couldn't exactly put a finger on what it was yet we'll put pictures in the YouTube video because it is cool to look at and it I think paints Paints the picture I checked in and walked up to my room as I was walking down the hall Counting Room numbers trying to find mine I found a door on a corner where my room number should have been that was marked do not enter I rounded the corner and found the actual door to my room but it appeared that the corner door had been the room's original entrance oh ooh and when I stepped inside the room I did notice a

door to my left had been sealed off so spooky sealed doors what's why I figured this was connected to the room's original entrance which was kind of weird to have a sealed off section in your room but who knows perhaps things were in the middle of a remodel process later that afternoon we all met in one of the downstairs rooms to kick off the planning meeting as we were all Gathering I heard a bunch of conversations being exchanged about other bizarre and unique features in my co-workers rooms I wish I could remember more of the descriptions but the one that stuck out to me was that someone's room had a door that appeared to be a closet but ended up being a whole second room with a single window that looked into the main room and inside this room with a single window was only a chair nothing else so freaky I got the chills and immediately thought of the sealed off door in my room e it makes me think that that door was supposed to be closed and there's like a weird thing where someone sits in there and watches people yeah ew that's really gross doesn't it

kind of give you that Vibe I was thinking like abandoned Hospital you know where like there's one wheelchair in a room but it's a hotel but yeah and like why would there be one chair yeah in the midst of all this story swapping about weird rooms someone mentioned that the hotel was said to be haunted of course my interest was peaked the company we worked for was based in spiritual work so many of my co-workers were open to the Paranormal as word got around about the hauntings one of my co-workers Blaine who actually ended up becoming one of my best friends after this experience started rounding up a group of people who were going to go ghost hunting after the meetings and dinner WS that night oo in the interest of trying to make friends and of course my own love of ghost stories I said I would tag along we all met in the lobby of the hotel later that night and I suggested we download some of the ghost hunting apps we downloaded two an EVP reader and one that was supposed to be able to sense spirits on camera both apps were from different develop so we figured we could easily debunk anything

that didn't show up on two apps at the same time we also knew to take what the apps picked up on with a grain of salt because they were probably made to Spook people out we approached apps same the same way and to be fair like the one that I had originally purchased which I can't remember what it's called I feel like was more of a to SP people yeah cuz there was also like a filter scary voices the ghost tube has proved time and time again yeah so we read about a few of the common areas where people had experienced hauntings in this hotel and we started there we started with six of us three of the members very quickly dropped out because they were spooked by different energies so at one point in the evening we found our way into a strange hallway that was very narrow and sloped at the end of the hall there were a small set of steps that were roped off and led to a door with a plaque above it that said Aunt Alice both of the apps picked up on a spirit nearby when we approached the door a message change it came through

the EVP reader on my phone we said hello and asked the spirit their name and shortly after the word aunt came through huh we were pretty sure it was Alice we were speaking to turns out Alice Miller was one of the in owner's sisters and this door was to her room we asked a few questions feeling comfortable with the spirit as the presence felt friendly as we turned to leave one of the apps said stay as if she wanted us to stay with her we told her politely that we would be back to visit but set the boundary that we did not want to be followed that's good this sounds like what we do in hotels yes I love this so much in the rush of this encounter we started to get more daring when a question was posed if we should scan one of our rooms to see if it was haunted I offered mine no especially because of my curiosity about the sealed door big mistake oh God this also feels like something that we would do and by we I mean you and we'd be sharing room and I'd be out absolutely panicking yes when we got

into my room immediately the video app said the word demon no change rooms I roll my eyes Hotel reception there's a demon in my room I need a new one I need a new one I rolled my eyes assuming this was one of the ways the app was designed to scare us and shortly after the video app had notified us of this presence the EVP app on my phone started registering a bunch of words nightmare near death I asked if the spirit needed help and the word doctor came through I figured this was a lost and confused Spirit stuck in a memory about its death and I asked if the spirit realized it had moved to the other side and the word memories came through the EVP I then asked its name and the word Dominic came through after Dominic revealed his name we tried asking a few questions but the presence started to feel angrier and then it stopped communicating with us altogether so we decided it was time to wrap things up all of us were feeling a little

uneasy and the two other girls asked if I wanted to come sleep in one of their rooms which is so nice that is really nice but with my social anxiety and the near desperate desire for friends and especially to seem chill I said no no no I'll be fine and that I would just tell the demon to leave me alone they did give me their room numbers in case I changed my mind but I waved it off and we parted ways I had a very hard time falling asleep that night feeling like a dark presence was hovering around the end of my bed just watching me m I kept repeating in my head leave me alone it's not real you're just freaking out leave me alone it's not real you're just freaking yourself out after several hours of trying to fall asleep I finally started praying now I'm not religious and I didn't exactly pray to a God but instead prayed to my late Nana this is actually what I do really yeah oh I love that she was a devout Catholic and I figured if anyone knew how to square up with a demon it would be her after a few minutes of praying I did feel a bubble of light energy around me and after a few moments I finally was able to fall

asleep I woke the next morning exhausted but the room felt pretty neutral like any of the angry energy I had been feeling in the room the night before had simply left so I got ready for the day of meetings I left my room feeling tired and sad but that wasn't uncommon for me during this time at the time I had a pet rabbit named Darla who had such a big personality and I love that little bunny so much Darla however as I was depressed I was having a hard time giving her the care that she needed so a few weeks prior I had posted on a few Facebook groups about needing to rehome her which was a very very hard decision to make but ultimately I knew it was selfish of me to try and hold on to her when I knew I could hardly take care of her let alone hardly get myself out of bed in the morning oh that's a very respectable Choice it is during one of the meetings that morning my mom texted me and said that someone had responded to the post and wanted to pick Darla up that day they had experience with rabbits and seemed like a very nice couple my mom wasn't sure if I wanted to be there to say goodbye but I responded that it probably would be too hard for me to be

there so it was okay for them to pick her up while I was gone after sending this text I was overwhelmed with emotion of course and immediately got up and left in the middle of the meeting I texted my boss to let him know that I needed to step out for a few minutes for a personal matter and then rushed up to my room sobbing I cried for a little while utterly devastated and unsure if I was making the right decision wishing desperately that I could explain to darlo what was going on I got up to go to the bathroom and grabb some tissue and I noticed my face in the mirror now gred faces get a little bit more swollen when crying but I truly didn't recognize myself I was disturbed by the fact that when I looked into my eyes in the mirror I didn't recognize the face looking back oh I even took a few photos to later analyze to see if I could discover why I looked so different this shook me enough that it distracted me from my emotional state and I was able to pull it together clean up my makeup and head back to the meetings for the rest of the day of course the rest of the day the news of Darla being rehomed was hovering over me like a dark cloud but I also couldn't shake the feeling that I was a stranger

in my own body I don't like this it's like your secondary Consciousness and something else is sharing your body with you because it's almost like the feeling of not recognizing herself was more the spirit within her right giving her that thought the rest of the time at the hotel was relatively uneventful but I was consistently trying to fight off a deep sadness again this not being out of the norm because I was struggling with depression but this felt darker than usual I tried to ignore it I threw myself into the work events to distract myself and get through the week once I was back home more crazy stuff started happening I would feel someone standing in the corner of my room at night watching me but when I would get brave enough to look there would be no one there things kept getting misplaced and then reappearing in weird places a Jasper Crystal that I had kept on me often was on my bedside table and then went missing only for me to find it Weeks Later set on top of a load of clean laundry I had just finished o it's almost like there's more than one spirit at play here right like maybe something

The Haunted Mission Inn Riverside, California

late you know kind of or trying to make her feel crazy yes one time I went to look for a spice in the kitchen pulled everything out of the cabinet could not find it closed the cabinet open it again a few minutes later and it was literally sitting in the front and center of the Shelf once a container of coffee was thrown off of our kitchen counter while I was home alone later the screen door to our backyard would slide open by itself Dominic didn't feel evil per se but it definitely felt like creating chaos and fear well that's kind of the beginning like that's the start of something that you may one day call a demon you may one day for me you may one Le me specifically or or people listening just people listening like like it starts says like oh haunting activity and then it starts to escalate

but like kind of like eventually you do acknowledge to be demon yes okay he would either do things that would aggravate me or try to send Shivers up my spine while it was effective in those moments my energy was also so low that I basically just accepted this attachment and didn't do much to rid it of myself which is probably why he latched on in the first place then about a month later I went out to visit my cousin in Utah for the new year and we decided to make New Year's Eve a little bit more fun and I brought some um special mushrooms for us to try oh interesting we set up her collection of Crystals and Stones on a table in her living room that we thought would look cool for us to look at throughout the evening and didn't even consider that this would essentially create an alter and supercharge any Spirits energy big time oh my gosh as we were preing like the ideas are within but the understanding of repercussions I know because also there could be a potential that these crystals serve as a protective alar doesn't like that's what happened no as we were prepping to eat

the slices of pizza with our little treats on them we were standing in her kitchen pouring champagne when all of a sudden I looked up and saw a man tall darkhaired man standing behind my cousin before I could even react my cousin started screaming which set me off and we both ran screaming into her living room I asked her panicked what she was screaming about and she said that she felt someone behind her pull on her sweater hard as if they were trying to pull her backwards oh God I immediately dashed back into the kitchen fully expecting to see someone real there turns out I'd be the one to die in a horror movie never thought I would be the one who ran towards danger but sometimes it's scary you just run in circles you don't know you Scooby-Doo run where you're running but you're never actually moving moving but as we expect no one is there in the kitchen I searched the rest of the apartment and saw no evidence of anyone else being there we were both so spooked but decided to try and calm down and enjoy the rest of the evening my cousin was fully aware of my Dominic attachment

there to feed off of the rest of the evening was uneventful we enjoyed our trip and the rest of my visit was much less haunted I'm glad because given that experience it could have been so much worse yes especially knowing that you're in like a less conscious state right however that experience made it much more real to me I felt a little unsettled the rest of my visit and when I was on my drive back home I decided that I needed to get myself back on track and release this negative energy that was surrounding me so when I got home I took the day to do a full cleansing ritual first myself then I tackled the house and I noticed when I was doing the sound/ smoke cleanse there was a very strange looking bug by our front door it was like nothing I had ever seen before so I jokingly started calling the bug Dominic and I let him know that he would be leaving soon unlike any other bugs I'd ever encountered it literally stayed there

and it stayed still when I was walking around it stepping over it and near it to the point where I was like maybe it's dead once I made it through the entire house I sat down on the living room couch exhausted from the hours long process of getting smoke into every corner I could and after a moment I looked back over to the bug still sitting in the same spot and jokingly said are you ready to go yet Dominic and it moved stop I stood up and being someone who never kills bugs but catches and releases them I bent down trying to scoop it up in my hands only discover that the thing had wings oh no it flew up in a circle around me and I gently tried to guide it out the front door saying something like go back to where you came from oh gosh but what happened next is a feeling I was never able to quite describe until I heard another one of your listener stories in an encounters episode she was describing telling a dark veiled Spirit to leave her alone and then describe the spirit's departure like a layer of skin being removed from her body that was exactly
