Airbnb that you can rent out in Salem Massachusetts and it was built in 1838 for Henry Derby the home is owned by Phil who grew up there he lived there with his wife and kids and then it was a bed and breakfast yeah his mom originally ran it as a bed and breakfast and he was growing up there and he turned it into an Airbnb but he has so many stories from living there growing up there and owning it and the previous owner before fail many generations ago have ties to The Witch Trials because this is Salem Massachusetts yes so kayin goes into great depth over on heart starts pounding about the people that we may or may not encounter during the investigation but this is part two the Ghost Hunt enjoy we're here in a haunted house sitting probably on haunted objects as everything in this house for the most part has been collected locally so almost all of the Furnitures from local thrift shops and antique stores oh

yeah that does happen so we'll see if you make it through the night on the third floor yeah I was going to maybe sleep on the third floor cuz that's where a lot of the hauntings happen but one of the hauntings is supposedly the hatman which is a sleep paralysis demon and as someone who suffers from sleep paralysis I'm a little hesitant now yeah I feel like that's not like I can't sleep on the same floor as a hatman like he visits me enough right I don't know if I can go to his house who is or what is your sleep paralysis demon because you alluded to it earlier yeah so I call him Gary to kind of like give him a silly name so he's not so scary but I do feel like every time I have sleep paralysis which started in college I experience like the same presence that comes into the room so I can tell that it's male and not human normally I can't see him because I'm so Frozen I can just feel a presence by me like the first time I ever had sleep paralysis I woke up in my room and there was a book a textbook next to me and just a presence I couldn't see flipping through the books or the pages what textbook was it

oh it's probably like film Theory or something I'm for some reason I'm picturing like the devil's book where you have to sign the contract oh yeah I mean maybe it was I I could tell it was like wey like a textbook I didn't know exactly what book it was and I I don't remember if it was a real book that was in my room at the time too it must have been because normally when I have sleep paralysis like everything in the room is exactly perfect except there was this presence like flipping through the pages of the book but I hear the pages stop turning and I can't move my head and I can't look over and I feel something crawl into bed with me and wrap their arms around me and just start squeezing and I can hear like like I just lose all of the breath inside of my chest and then I woke up and everything was fine but so it's usually that level of I feel something in the room I can tell it's the same person sometimes I'll hear him banging really loudly on the door saying like let me in let me in let me in like loudly like I've heard his voice oh my gosh and then at some point he'll usually like either crawl into bed with me or sometimes he'll sit on my chest

e it feels common for you for something to crawl into bed with you when you have sleep paralysis yeah and you shared another story which you'll have to go over to kin's episode portion of this to hear the other experience yeah if you're curious about a hundred-year-old monkey doll want oh my God yeah in general people who have sleep paralysis tend to have very similar experiences which makes me think that it all kind of happens in the same plane or yes that's what's so weird is there's so many people who experienced sleep paralysis that have no interest in the Paranormal are not into ghost stories have no clue what's happening to them and yet they see the exact same figure that other people do so it's like if they never sought out these stories if they were never exposed to these stories why are they seeing the exact same thing that a million other people did absolutely well they've never been able to scientifically explain it they try to say it's people like being overly exhausted or like a chemical imbalance there was one study I mean this was granted early days of podcast but it was

like it's about drug use and we're like well no and also how are we hallucinating the exact same thing like that still doesn't make sense yeah and I don't do drugs and I wasn't doing drugs at the time when it happened you didn't take iasa as a little night cap that night oh I did do iasa before I went to bed oh that's what it was my nightly I that's what it feels like though it's like that level of like hallucination that something is happening but yeah I agree the fact that it's all the same experiences that one of the earliest portraits we have paintings of sleep paralysis what it's like to have sleep paralysis is like a demon sitting on some couch yeah and that's old hag the old hag the classic depiction and that's what we still experience today like that's something I don't know I agree yeah yeah so have you experienced other things aside from sleep paralysis I think I had like a haunted piano growing up oh which I've never seen like a full Apparition but this was kind of the thing that got me thinking like oh ghosts are real and like there's something going on so my dad had like a

piano in our house like an upright old piano that was like drifted or it came from an estate sale or something right I have memories of like my dad and I walking up the stairs and you know how like staircases when you're going up the stairs you get to a point where you can't see the downstairs anymore you're like on the upstairs so we're walking past the downstairs is where the piano was and we're walking upstairs and we can't see the piano anymore and we just hear someone play a chord on the piano oh and immediately we're like oh it's the cat like the cat jumped on the piano so I like run downstairs and I'm like get the cat away from the piano and then we walk upstairs and the cat's on the bed on like his bed so we're like it's not that wasn't the cat but that was that was weird like that could have been anything like maybe we imagined it and that happened a few more times where like something would play the piano and then one time was it always one note it was always multiple notes okay one time I was playing the piano and I have the memory in my mind clear as day and I told my dad about this right as it happened but I'm playing the piano know I'm probably like 10 years old and I see

the three lowest keys on the lower register all pressed down at the same time like I've never run oh my God out of a room so fast like screaming yeah horrifying horrifying and I told my dad what happened and I don't like that it's three either cuz it just feels like the like classic demonic claw of three the three lowest one so it sounded really muddy and bad and that was horrifying and then unless it's a ghost cat unless it was a ghost cat but even a ghost cat I feel like would have been multiple notes out I don't know what it was but it was like this the bottom three notes and then the last experience I had with that piano before we got rid of it and got a new one was and this one this is like the craziest thing that's ever happened to me I still get chills whenever I but it was June of when I was in the eth grade so and my grandma had just died like a few days prior had just passed away and I was sitting and I was playing the piano and I was like thinking about my grandma and next to the piano was like a box of sheet music that we would kind of cycle through so

at that point in June like Christmas music was like way in the back of the box we weren't even touching it and also in my family it's like faux paw to rip Pages out of books like you fold the sheet music book like neatly on the piano and then you play the song and then you close it and you put it away right so I'm playing the piano and I'm thinking about my grandma and behind me I hear something like whooing through the air kind of like going back and forth and I just hear like like the sound of a piece of paper sliding across hitting the ground yeah a wood floor and I turn around and there's one piece of sheet music ripped out of a book serrated on the floor and I was like that's weird who would have ripped right a piece of music out of also you're alone in this room also I'm alone it felt like it just came out of nowhere so I pick it up and it's Away in a Manger the Christmas song uh there no business like Christmas music in ja and I just start playing it and I got the feeling that like something wanted me to play the song and I started playing it and my dad runs in and he has tears in his eyes

and he's like that's grandma Jean's favorite Christmas song I just got chills everywhere this is beautiful the fact that you even had the urge to play it too and weren't just like Oh weird Christmas music and tucked it away yeah I was like NOP just close the Box pass yeah no I got the overwhelming sense that someone wanted to hear this song that is beautiful I was really really nervous when you were about to say like this is really stuck with me that it was going to be more terrifying than the couple that you just shared with us the demon showing beautiful that's incredible so that one even though the piano felt a little demonic and haunted in that way like that moment just felt so Supernatural to me it also makes me feel like whatever creepy dark potential energy was playing with the piano before has no business there anymore because your grandma is now like there and going to be watching over you and the piano yeah no that's an interesting way I didn't think about that actually for it to kind of end on such a positive note like and we never had any

yeah instead of just like the three scary demonic ones but I mean eventually we got rid of that one and we got a new piano so we that wasn't Haunt It Wasn't haunted never had any experiences with that but but that's a really beautiful way for her to show her presence because I think we've heard before and I'm sure you have to stories of people who you so badly want a visitation from the people that you lose that you love but sometimes they choose to appear or show themselves in a way that can kind of spook you and then you feel this sense of guilt of like being scared of the person that you wanted to see yeah and so it is lovely that she found a way to kind of just like very gently give you a mess or like almost deliver through you totally a message that resonated with your dad yes AB it's like so sweet I know I have a bunch of listeners who have had experiences like gotten signs from stuff and sometimes I like to joke that like people when they die they have a lot of people to send signs to so like they're busy yeah they're bus so if it doesn't happen immediately like I've

gotten listeners that are like I I want a sign from a loved one like how do I look for a sign or how like what and I'm like I think it's coming it just maybe hasn't happened yet they're making their way through their whole list I also think like sometimes they'll come when you especially need them and you didn't like know it or didn't think about it and it might be years and years down the line I mean I still occasionally like I've had a couple dreams of my grandfather who passed away in 2006 but like one of the like more recent I guess in time was back in 2014 or 15 so like almost 10 years after he had passed away and it was just a dream and I had like such a clear conversation with him and it was about life and it felt like he was giving me guidance and almost not even like giving me advice but just letting me know that he was there yeah I love that it that absolutely was him giving guidance and advice well we're not here to talk about us anymore we're here to talk to uh the ghosts of this house we want to hear from them we do want to hear from them

drained of battery and it brought me instead of bringing me to the house it brought me to the backside of the witch Museum in Downtown Salem W it happened but I was like kind of light-heartedly like oh the ghost didn't want me to come but I don't know what was happening there anyway so we got to the house you were on like a pilgrimage along the judges line well what were you guys doing at that time cuz while I was getting delayed you guys were already together walking around the house so maybe they wanted you more time the two that are more likely to get into Shenanigans that's true kayin and I walked around the cemetery yeah and then kind of walked around Salem yeah we spent time across the street taking some b-roll looking at the cemetery we went and saw the grave of the Corwin who were like the bad guys in the witch trials that was spooky then and we came back to the house and we we just kind of like walked throughout the layout uh and got like a sense of we had paranormal things happen to us before even doing the

investigation like the first thing to me kayln was before Ken got there you had gone upstairs you didn't really walk through the third floor but you remember closing the door yeah the door that leads to the third floor is like this spooky like really thin door that you could almost like Miss if you passed it my heart just dropped when I first opened it cuz it's so scary you just you can't see where it leads to you just see the stairs and then Darkness yeah and the stairs are very steep as well of the stairs very creaky and so I went up and just kind of like did a little ones through I don't really want to be there by myself and I made sure to leave it how I Came Upon it which was doors closed and then yeah when we went back up there the doors were open and not just cracked open like fully open yeah one of the doors was fully open they knew we were coming and then I feel like for me the Paranormal stuff happened when we were recording your episode kayin like I had the most VIs Al feelings and intense like that was crazy

energy shifts you were picking up on a lot yes and we right when we started talking about the corins Sabrina you got this like look in your eye and then really started not feeling well the way we described it the we we all Collective because you had also said you felt that earlier in Salem right so I had like the heaviness on my shoulders and my head felt heavy but laded at the same time and when I described that you were like that's exactly how I felt yeah it was that same feeling just as I was walking around Salem and I think it was when I was in the Corwin house because before I went and met with you guys I went and did a tour of Joshua Corwin's home so one of the Corwin family members has a heavy omnipresent energy apparently yeah it sounds like it which makes sense it sounds like it I mean that family is evil yeah it is interesting though cuz it's like they're so ingrained within the Salem history and like Witch Trials and Salem lore that they get talked about a decent

amount with all of the tours that go through salm all the time so I am intrigued as to why the two of you picked up on these Vibes was it just simply because you guys have some openness and psychicness that you were kind of like picking up on the energy of this family or perhaps was it a resistance of this Spirit or the Corwin or anti- Corwin yeah to have someone come in with the intention of like fully investigating and kind of like airing out their dirty laundry that's a good question but we have no answer to it no yeah that I kind of don't have an answer to because I actually don't feel like I'm all that sensitive to ghostly things I think it happens to other people a lot more frequently than it ever happens to me so I was actually surprised when you said that Sabrina that I had a similar feeling yeah because I feel like I'm not one to feel or sense things I don't know yeah we walked like I was at the Corwin's house and then I walked around the graveyard looking for them I actually walked around the graveyard the

night before like I was really investigating a lot of Corwin stuff while I was there also How brave of you to keep walking through that graveyard after you told me when I was like oh should we go back over and you were like well people slip into the graves there's like fall through holes like what it is a very dangerous graveyard it caves in yeah yeah it caves in that's like a worst nightmare falling into a pit of Bones Bones Corin bones but that would be a really fun fun fact like if I were in college again and you had to say a fun fact about yourself I think I'd say that would be good two truths and a lie if you were like my favorite color is purple I have a cat one time I slipped through a graveyard into like a stack of Bones I mean we can still use that it could just be the lie that could be just the LIE yeah it's a good lie yes odly specific so we recorded both like we did like a little intro for this episode which everyone's listening to right now and then after that we were like okay let's do it let explore we set intentions mhm we're going to set

which that's part of my update I have to tell you a lot about that oh my gosh yeah that's a huge part of my update so I feel like Daniel was really helpful and for those who don't know Daniel is the pendulum that a listener gifted to us it's also right here in the video screen very quiet today but I feel like Daniel was really helpful in being like a medium between us and the spirits because one theme we experienced like throughout the whole investigation and the whole night was that the spirits were seeming to have a really hard time communicating with us talk with me we're here to talk with you yeah we're still talking it's not easy you can try your best no energy I can't talk long I'm weak nobody understands no I know we're trying to turned off it like wants to communicate but it has such a hard time communicating and Daniel was able to like we'd ask questions and be like should we go to this part of the house should we go here and the first place we went to was the basement the basement

swinging a little harder now thanks Daniel perfect okay all right all right Kaylin you go first okay man Blair Witch ass basement there wasn't a ton that happened in the basement that's when we first started using the dowsing rods kayn right and you were getting some answers yeah we were getting a little and the the rum pod was really quiet down there too but I feel like when we were down there we got like follow me a lot that was one thing that kept coming through was like follow me follow me follow me talk with me follow me follow you where are there Spirits here follow me let's go let's go whatever is in the house even though it was having trouble communicating the whole night it knew where it wanted to take us and it just really wanted us to get there cuz everywhere we went until we got to where it wanted us to go was really pretty quiet like I have some

answers it felt like we were very far away from the spirit yes yeah definitely which is interesting because in so many haunted locations we often find ourselves being told to go to the basement and it's like where we reluctantly end up yeah and this time we were like let's go to the basement and then the spirits were like no not there right it is weird because when I think back to the investigation like I really only remember being on the top floor stands the basement to me felt so bright and I was scared to go down there at first and it was not once we were down there I was like this is the best Vibes in the house you should have slept in the basement honestly I should have now that I think about it yeah next time so did we move from the basement up to the third floor I think we did because I feel like when we were initially setting intentions and pulling Cs and you were talking to Daniel not a ton was happening like we were getting some stuff coming through but it was like a little confusing and then go quiet and we had just heard so much about the

third floor and we had that experience with the door opening so I think we were like let's just try the third floor and see if we get more there and we did it sounds like that was the right decision on our part we certainly did there's a reason that we're they want us to come up here whoever's here the tiniest skinniest little door oh it's so dark it is oh my God we're on it freaks me out I'm sacrificing K is the spirit with us a positive good spirit danger we have never experienced our Rod going off in the way that it did every single button and light that could have gone off went off C so when we first got up there we were kind of like walking around we went and sat in like the largest room which was at the end of the hallway the third floor and we put the r pod in the hallway yeah so I guess to

like give a little bit of a layout breakdown for people there's when you get to the top of the stairs there's like a storage closet and then if you go right you go down this like Corridor into the large bedroom that we were in and then from that large bedroom you can see like all the way through the hallway to the other side of the stairs where there's a small bedroom mhm and at first like the r pod was going off in that hallway and I noticed that the window above it was open so I was like it must just be that like it's probably just a temperature change and I closed the window it kept going off so then we moved to the rod which had been in the hallway we moved it into the big room with us cuz we're like oh the spirits are trying to communicate yeah and it didn't really seem overly happy with us moving it to where we were because it wanted us to go somewhere else yeah and we used kayn you used the dowsing rods to figure out where that was because I think you were just like can point in the direction of where you want us to be cuz we were so desperate to understand

where we're supposed to be the rod was freaking out it was like a no you're doing things wrong sort of message coming through the you felt and then the words that were spoken over ghost tube and sbox and all of the other various things that we were attempting to use just wasn't overly clear and it did seem very like clunky and hard to get through so that's when we relied on the dowsing rods and they very very quickly pointed to behind you which was down the hall where there was another smaller creepier room darker room cuz the light didn't work in there that we didn't want to go into initially and we brought the r pod in there and we had the r pod kind of by the door which was close to the stairway but in the corner of the room mhm and it was going off like crazy in there too and I remember I even went up to it and I was like let me show you with my foot how close I have to be to it to get like each light to go off my foot was truly like this close to it and the green was

going off well that's cuz I didn't really understand exactly how it worked like I knew that it was there was like a temperature drop it would turn red and kind of blip yeah I was like I don't know like what it could possibly be picking up on and you were like no it only picks up if you are basically on top of it and then you put your foot on it and it went off as much as it had been going off in the room let show how close I have to get to this to make it go green oh wow okay so there was something right there okay go closer again just so we can see like the different colors of like how close you get for different colors this is so okay okay so that's green my foot is like right there that's still green my foot is like up against it now that's green and yellow green is I think the technically the furthest away and then yellow is closer and then like there's purple and
