I spoke to the Tokoloshes in your shower. They said that they were sent by a witch, sent by your ex-husband to watch you, especially in the shower, to disturb you, and report everything back to him.

[music and singing]

Very spooky.

Hey.

Hello. We're back. We're back. Back in the circus tent. It's Two Girls One Ghost.

Two Girls One Ghost.

And we are your ghostesses. That is Karen, clown Karen, clown Sabrina. Here we are. And we're here to tell you ghost stories sent in to our email, to our inbox, twogirlsoneghostpodcast@gmail.com, by all of you, our very haunted, freakish listeners.

1:00

Mhm.

And we picked another theme this week in celebration of what is to come in a couple of weeks from now, uh witchcraft, which is

And my goodness, there are many of you who are witches who listen to our podcast, but there are also many who have been cursed

Yeah.

by witches

It's an interesting thing. I feel like being called a witch, it goes back and forth from being a compliment to not. And right now I feel like if someone called me a witch, I would be like one of the highest

high praise

of compliments.

Yeah.

But it doesn't mean that there aren't people and practitioners out there that are doing things a little, maybe not the way we would do it.

Listen, there's good and bad in this universe. There are good people, bad people, and good witches and bad witches. Also, the same could be said.

Let the witchcraft commence.

a witch that poisoned a father

I have one about a witch that poisoned a father.

Oh.

Yeah. Uh this is from our listener.

like you find a a like this. It's always like someone's dad or uncle's dying

Well, [laughter] I specifically I wanted

2:00

to find one where someone was like cursed by a witch. Um this is from our listener Sophie. And yeah, it's called my dad was poisoned by a jealous witch ex Why do I keep interchanging exclamation point and question mark?

It's a question mark.

But there's probably an exclamation

Yeah.

in there. Hello, I have been a faithful viewer and I did send you an email this past May about the one and only spooky experience I have had in my life. It was about a bird that announces death. We'll have to read that another time. But today, as I'm watching your Mexico special episode, I remembered what happened to my father before I was born. I've always loved conspiracies, legends, and so on, but I've always been fairly skeptical. As we say in my country, I only believe in what I see.

Mhm.

And since I have not seen anything yet, I don't fully believe in anything, although I'm fairly open to it. However, there is this story, episode, thing, I don't know what to call it, that happened to my father that has always

3:00

left a very weird feeling inside of me every time I think of it. I don't remember who I heard it from, but in the story, there are four people you want to keep in mind. My mom, my dad, and my childhood friend's parents. Our fathers were close friends in childhood, and my parents are my friend's godparents. So, pretty much family. So, four people. Sophie's mom, Sophie's dad, and the two friends of a childhood friend.

Mhm.

Before my parents had me, they lived in an apartment with pretty much an open door policy. People would come and go as they pleased. They would appear for lunch or dinner without even calling first because they knew my parents would welcome them with open arms and so on. Although they were quite a popular couple and had lots of friends, there were a few people who were jealous of my mother. My mom says this because my father was apparently the the of the village.

Oh.

Yeah, so people wanted what she had.

Mhm.

And people would criticize my my parents behind their backs after just having been at their apartment. Rude. So rude.

4:00

You welcome them into your home. So one day, all of a sudden, my father fell seriously ill with cold sweats, stomach pains, throwing up all the time. Both my parents went a few times to the hospital, but every time they went the doctors would say that my father was healthy as a horse and they didn't understand why he was feeling like that.

Mhm.

This went on for weeks. And my father lost quite a lot of weight and could hardly eat anything. Being the usual Southern European woman that believes everything in the occult, my mom asked my friend's parents to help her find a healer or a witch to go to. Bear in mind that my father likes to pretend that he doesn't believe in anything supernatural, so they did all of this behind his back. They ended up finding someone who told them that somebody from my parents' entourage had actually cursed my father and that they should look throughout the apartment for anything strange or out of place.

Mhm.

So my mom and her friends went through the apartment as asked, hoping to not find anything cuz they didn't want it to be a curse.

Mhm.

They, however, did find something. There

5:00

it was, hidden between the curtain of the living room and the couch, a small bundle of herbs, rope, and human hair.

Oh gosh.

Fairy weapons.

Aunt Gladys.

Yeah.

Totally. So they went back to the healer and witch with this, who told them to burn it and then gave them some sort of powder to mix into my father's food. My mom did as told, and as soon as my father finished eating the meal, he rushed to the bathroom and threw it all up.

But instead of that, cuz it's like they're also just taking another person's advice for what to do, too. And it's like, what if there was kind of a con or like multiple people that are just adding on curses and you're just blindly following?

Well, and also, I don't think the dad knows about any of this. Like they just put this mixture into the food. He thinks he's getting poisoned by his family and I'm just trying to rid him of his demons. He threw it all up, but instead of food in the toilet, all they could see was this bright purple blob.

What?

Yeah.

Ew. This is very like sci-fi horror

6:00

movie.

It's terrifying. But after that, my father was good as new. Never sick again. And they never spoke of it again. He threw up the curse, I don't know. Me

Curses are purple? Is that where Disney gets the purple and green

Ursula's purple, evil, I don't know. Me and my friend heard of this story when we were in our early teens, so I don't remember if it was my mom or my friend's mom who told us about it, but I do know that a few years later when we tried to talk about it again, both of our mothers yelled at us and my dad just scoffed. When we asked if he really thought he had been cursed, my father shrugged and ended the conversation. But according to my mom, there had been a few women who had wanted my father for themselves and having not been chosen had begun to curse my father in various ways. Does this not feel like obsession, the movie?

Mhm.

I honestly don't know if I believe in it, but I do have to say that between being fished out of the sea by a fishing boat after almost drowning when I was two or three, then falling out of an open truck on the

7:00

move, and also falling into an open super deep sinkhole,

My god.

and still coming out of it alive and healthy,

This is like seven lives.

This all happened to her dad. My father has been very strangely unlucky. Uh well, very strangely lucky for someone as unlucky as him.

And I would argue that a lot of that happened way before a witch was involved.

Unless

He was like two or three getting fished out of the ocean.

It was when Sophie was two or three.

Oh, oh, oh.

Yeah.

[laughter]

Yeah.

I was like since a baby he's been trying to survive.

It all seems like it's happened later in life. There was another time in my late teens in which my mom asked my cousin back home to find another healer because my father was always in a bad mood for weeks on end. The healer gave her a prayer and then my father started getting in a better mood afterwards. For this one, I believe it was my father being an undiagnosed bipolar rather than a curse, but you know, if my mom believes the healers work, why not? Was he sick or was it really a curse? Who knows? All I know is that my

8:00

parents stopped having people around as much after that. Keep doing the spooky work and I hope to see you on the other side. I hope there is something there. Sophie.

Well, I mean, after finding that like bundle of herbs and the hair, it does feel like someone did something.

Yeah.

You threw up a pink blob. Like there's like how do you explain that away?

Well, we also don't know what what the mixture was that the healer gave him to

I guess.

But yeah, um maybe we don't curse people.

No, that's very scary and it's scary to think that like anyone could be cursed without even knowing that they're being cursed.

I mean, that's so many horror movies, right?

Yeah.

It's like moving into a house and there's something left behind.

have no idea. You move something out of the attic or you dig something up.

Or you wrong the wrong person.

Yeah.

generational witches

Okay, well, I have a story from Kinga and it's about generational witches. And there is a content warning for a domestic violence involved in this. Okay. Okay. My name is Kinga. I'm from Hungary. I started listening to you ladies during the summer when I was alone in the office and bored out of my brains. And now I'm listening to you while I'm doing laundry and walking somewhere and shopping. Literally, basically, I listen to you all the time.

We're your pocket besties.

After I love that. Little pocket besties. I wish we could shrink ourselves down.

Me, too. I feel like especially in these costumes.

Yeah.

Pew. I feel like we're like the angel and the devil, but you are dressed much more angelic than I am. So, I think I would actually be the dark side.

Yeah. But, I'd be the angel who like starts up very pleasant and then I start to side with you.

Yeah. It would be confusing.

Yeah.

Cuz I'd I'd look really scary, but I I'd be like, "Well, do you

12:00

We kind of freaky Friday in the midst of it.

[laughter]

Okay. After [clears throat] listening to so many listener stories, I was contemplating whether I should tell this story about my family. But, then in September of 2025, my great aunt, the sister to my grandpa on my mom's side, passed away and we went down memory lane with my mom and I just cannot not share these stories. My great aunt and I were very close. She was my grandma, basically, because my real grandma left my mom when she was little and my grandma was a teen mom and then my great aunt and my grandpa raised my mom and then my brother and me. And so, since I was little, I knew my mom had some sort of witchy sense. She always always predicted things in the family.

Ooh.

She predicted literally the day my niece was going to be born. My sister-in-law and brother had dinner with us when she was pregnant and she wasn't due for at least a week and then on Sunday my mom looked at her, touched her belly, and said, "I think she's ready to come out."

Wow.

My sister-in-law, thank God, believed her, packed up all of her stuff, went to

13:00

the hospital, gave birth.

Why do you make it seem so easy and effortless?

Right? Just a little

Up. She's ready.

Yeah. I She just knocked. She's coming out.

Hello.

Hello. A wild story is the time that my great grandma cursed my great grandpa on her deathbed. My great grandma and my grandpa had three kids, the oldest being my grandpa. After she got pregnant with the youngest, my great grandpa had to go to the front lines to fight in World War II. This really kind of [ __ ] up my family, pardon my French, but my great-grandpa came back a very changed man. He was completely gray-haired, lots of PTSD. Unfortunately, he became pretty physically abusive.

Oh, jeez.

And he also began to cheat on my grandma. After some time, things got better and I guess he started to heal from the trauma, but my great-grandma never would forget what he did to her.

So, it was a well-deserved curse.

Yes. My mom ended up with them for a little while and she took care of my great-grandma, her grandma, when she got

14:00

very sick. My mom was 16 at the time. How wild is that to think that she was that young doing that?

Mhm.

She ended up in the hospital, my mom went in to bring her food and gossip from the family, and in return my great-grandma told her all of these stories about my great-grandpa. She was very much near the end, holding my mom's hand, and told her, "Quote, tell your grandpa that he cannot and will not die until I say so.

[snorts]

He will be in pain until his last hour. Kurva anyat, which means [ __ ] in Hungarian."

Wow. I love that because I feel like we hear so many curse stories where it ends up affecting the whole family line, but this is so specific, it's just to him. It's like, "I'm going to make sure he suffers."

Like they all might be capable of witchcraft and have the power, but the the curse piece of it.

Yeah.

It's just to him.

Yeah.

My mom was baffled, but she wasn't surprised. She knew my great-grandma had

15:00

had a very awful life with him, and when my great-grandpa got sick, my mom took care of him, too. She also visited him in the hospital, and on the very last day, my great-grandpa leaned into my mom and said to her, "Quote, I know what your mama told you. I know she cursed me. I see her in all of my dreams. Go and tell her to let me go. I'm so sorry about the things I've done to her and to the kids, but I want to die in peace. Go tell her. My mom was speechless because she had kept my great grandma's curse a secret. So, from the hospital, she went straight to her local church where my great grandparents had gotten married, where they went every single Sunday, where everyone in the family got baptized. She sat in the back, she prayed to great grandma to let him go. He suffered enough, it's his time, let him die, whatever. What do you know? Next evening, they got a call from the hospital that my great grandpa had just died.

That you know that that means that the great grandmother was showing up in his dreams, taunting him, telling him that she had cursed him.

16:00

Yep. I haven't chosen for you to die yet. You must suffer and live longer.

Another little story, it's about my great aunt who I mentioned. She was in a pretty emotionally abusive marriage, and you might sense some trends here with my family. They never had children. We all believed that this was my great aunt's {quote} fault, but after many, many years, it turned out that it was the other way around. My great uncle ended up being infertile. He was a very controlling person, not just with my great aunt, but with everyone in our family. Overall, just a very deeply sick man who never got told off by anyone. And when my great aunt died, we were so sure that it happened because she just honestly got tired and that she had enough.

Mhm.

Her health had declined so fast after she had had a fall, and this fall only happened a couple days before she died. We obviously don't believe that it was just a fall.

Oh.

My great uncle wasn't that upset about the news of his wife's passing. He didn't even visit her in the hospital. He instead went to go see his girlfriend.

17:00

Mind you, he was 93 years old at the time. Men never change, huh?

Maybe the men in this family should be cursed.

I think that this generational the generational witches should be a generational curse for the men.

Yeah.

My mom had a feeling that something was going to happen to him. She dreamed of my great aunt about a month after her passing and in the dream my great aunt was decorating Christmas tree and was very happy. My mom said that she hadn't seen her that happy in years and there was no sign of my great uncle. In this dream it was just her and our family together and what do you know, my great uncle fell ill and on Christmas day he passed away.

The Christmas dream.

Yes. [gasps]

And she's so happy.

happy. I of course was very sad but let me tell you decorating the tree the day before I felt this sort of calm I'd never felt before and also I'm pretty certain that my great aunt made sure that he couldn't attend her funeral. He got the flu. He had to go to the hospital and it was 25° C in September. He got the flu.

Wow.

18:00

A couple of weeks ago we were talking with my mom about how every woman in our family has experienced some type of abuse in their relationships or marriages. My mom had a physically abusive first husband, my great grandma, my great aunt.

I'm so sorry.

I also didn't completely dodge this trope unfortunately because my first boyfriend was emotionally abusive. We're not together anymore but even after 11 years I'm still really not ready to talk about it.

Oh.

But I feel like as the new generation I have learned a lot from the strong women in our family and I believe I also inherited some of their witchiness.

Probably. [laughter]

I sometimes predict who is going to be pregnant amongst our friends. I usually dream of them before they announce the news.

Wow.

And recently my great aunt visited me in dreams. She was happy, she was smiling like I'd never seen her before. So who said revenge won't make you happy?

[laughter]

See you on the other side. Bye. Kinga.

Well, I'm sorry that there's been so much toxic male relationships in this family but I am happy to hear that the

19:00

women get the last word.

Yes. And even in the afterlife they're like making sure to go visit the other women in the family being like, you know what? There's so much joy in not having these people in in lives.

Yeah.

Both in flesh life and in astral life.

the afterlife.

The afterlife.

Damn. Okay. I have a story from our

haunted house and a witch from Puerto Rico

listener, Kenny Ellis, that she said we can call her Ellie to make it easier. It's called a haunted house and a witch from Puerto Rico. Hello girls and ghosts. You're allowed to use my name. I found your podcast about 2 years ago when I started my career in dog grooming. I've always been interested in the paranormal because of my own experiences and when I found your podcast I immediately followed it. So, please buckle up for this story. Here's some background so you can better understand everything. My mom and my stepdad met when I was 5 years old. He had two sons, one who was 6 years old and another who was only one. And my stepdad had a very rocky relationship with the boy's mother. To put it bluntly, that side of the family was not

20:00

right in the head. About a year later we moved into my stepdad's house and that is where things started to get very strange. Now this house always felt off. But whatever was there seemed only affect me. Here's the layout of the house. It was simple. Kitchen and living room were at the front, bedrooms were towards the back and there was a garage on the side. Outside along the left of the house there was a narrow hallway that led to the backyard. Our neighbor's house sat extremely close to ours which is why I say hallway. So all I could see from my bedroom window was the dark wall of their three-story building. Almost every night around 10:00 p.m. I would run crying into the living room and tell my parents that a little girl was outside my window crying and that she wouldn't let me sleep. Naturally they would go check and find nothing. The first time they brushed it off, but the second time I was screaming so hard from fear that they knew something was wrong. As my parents walked toward the hallway leading to the bedrooms, they suddenly stopped in their tracks because standing there was a little girl dressed in white crying.

21:00

[sighs and gasps]

Wait, I'm kind of glad that they actually got

They saw it, yeah. My brothers [clears throat] were asleep in the room next to mine and my parents told whatever it was to leave and it did. They immediately grabbed my brothers and all of us slept together in the living room for truly an entire week. After that I don't remember much for a while. The next major event happened around my birthday. And my birthday is February 8th. My younger stepbrother's birthday is February 17th. So we went to visit his side of the family because it was their week to have the boys. While we were there, I greeted everyone respectfully and one of the family members gave me a pink shirt. They told me that if it didn't fit I could return it and exchange it later. When I got home, I tried it on for less than a minute and realized it did not fit. So I planned to return it the next time I saw them. But about a week later everything changed. Almost immediately upon coming home with this shirt, I started having horrible nightmares and night terrors. I became terrified of the dark. I would

22:00

wake up with bruises and marks all over my body that no one could explain. [clears throat] No one ever saw me get hurt. I had no memory of anything happening.

Wait, this is scaring me because I immediately by mind jumped to like little girl that's outside the window is summoning her out in the middle of the night and she's like getting injured outside in the woods.

Well, one morning around 9:00 a.m. I woke up from a hard slap across my face. I immediately jumped up and ran to the living room expecting to find someone playing a prank on me. Instead, my family was sitting in the living room faces frozen when they saw me. No one had touched me and what terrified them was that there was a large handprint on my face from being slapped.

god.

Nobody had been in my room and when they compared their hands to the mark, no one matched. This handprint was much larger than anyone's hand in the house. So it's not the little girl.

Jeez.

Eventually the mark faded, but after that I refused to sleep alone. Eventually we decided to move. We stayed in the same neighborhood, but we left that house behind. And before moving we

23:00

tried everything. We cleansed the house, blessed the house, prayed over it, but nothing worked. And whatever was happening seemed focused entirely on me.

Mhm.

At first, this new house was peaceful. Nothing unusual happened for a while, until one day my stepbrothers were picked up for a visit with their mother's side of the family, and suddenly things started happening again. So, it's correlated with his stepbrothers' family.

Yeah.

Her mom, that side of family. At night, my bed would shake violently, the windows would rattle, we would hear knocking on doors, doors would open and close by themselves. There was never any wind or rational explanation for any of it. Eventually, I became too scared to sleep alone in that house again, and I moved into my brother's room. Even then, things continued. At night, I would feel as if someone sat down on the front of my bed. You could actually feel and see the mattress sink under the weight,

Mhm.

and there would be a spot that felt strangely warm. Not long after that, my stepbrother came home from visiting his grandmother, and he told us that he had been exploring her house and found that same pink shirt that they had given me years

24:00

earlier, which made no sense because I never returned it. Then, he told us something stranger. He claimed his grandmother, so his mom's mom, had dolls that looked exactly like us. And these dolls, some of them had pins stuck in them.

No.

That is when everything started to connecting in our minds. We began to wonder if whatever had been following me was somehow connected to that family. We started seeking blessings and spiritual help, and things quieted down for a while, but they never completely stopped. One night, we were all sleeping in the living room. We had several couches lined up, and each sibling slept on a different one. Around midnight, one of the couches started rocking back and forth on its own. Like the creaking sound was so loud, it woke everyone up.

god. [clears throat]

We sat there staring. My parents asked who was moving it, but nobody was touching it, and this couch continued to move by itself right in front of all of us. That was the moment my parents decided enough was enough and not long

25:00

afterward we began packing everything to move to the United States. My stepbrothers stayed behind to live with their mother and we prepared to leave. On our final night there, almost everything had already been packed. The only couch left in the house was in the living room where I was sleeping and my parents were asleep in one of the bedrooms. As I lay awake staring at the ceiling, I saw a little girl floating from one side of the room to the other before disappearing into my brother's room. It was that same little girl dressed in white that I had seen years before.

Wow.

I started screaming and my dad ran out, grabbed me and pulled me into his room. What terrified me most was when he looked at me and said, "I saw it, too." Then we watched the trash can in the kitchen slowly rotate by itself and at the same time we saw three shadowy figures. One was large, one was medium-sized, one was small. It was maybe one of the most horrifying moments of all of our lives. The next morning, we left for the United States and since moving here, we have never experienced anything like that again. We also have not had any contact with

26:00

that side of the family in over 10 years and I truly never want to see them again.

Damn.

We believe they targeted my mother and me because they did not want a stepmother or stepsister in their lives. Whether everything that was happening was paranormal, something darker or something we may never really understand, those experiences changed me forever. Later, when I was old enough, my mom told me even more disturbing things. She said that their mother would send people after us. Like if they saw my mom driving, they would intentionally swerve their cars toward her.

What the hell?

Yeah. Some would even throw rocks at our house in broad daylight aiming for my mom's windows. Thankfully, those windows were made of metal so they did not break, but it was terrifying. She also confirmed to me that their grandmother practiced witchcraft and she was called a witch in the neighborhood. That's my story. Please let me know if you decide to read it so I can listen when the episode comes out and that is from Kenny Ellis or Ellie.

Uh dang.

That's really intense to like feel like everyone's after you and also well to know that everyone's after you.

Like not just feel, to know. And then

27:00

I'm so curious about the little girl because it's like the encounters with her, she's just like when you physically see her, she's just standing there or saying

Yeah.

She's outside the window or she's floating by.

She seems sad.

Yeah, so I'm like can we blame her for everything that's going on or is she just another spirit that happens to be

Yeah, separate or like tormented and scared of whatever else is living in there.

Well, and also could you imagine your stepbrother coming home being like, "Oh yeah, my grandmother has little dolls that look just like us and they have pins stuck in them."

No. Cuz if unless your grandma's a healer and she's using this to remember

not a healer in this situation. Being slapped in your sleep, waking up with bruises.

Being slapped, yeah.

I'm so glad that you and your family were able to escape all that negativity.

Um cuz that is scary.

And luckily a move worked. You know, sometimes that doesn't work for people.

Seriously.

A lot of times it doesn't work.

the witches of Pendle Hill

Okay, this is another story from the UK.

I feel like we are not in America for any of these stories so far.

It's called The Witches of Pendle Hill.

Ooh, what a I love that story that title.

Hey my spooky girls and listeners, I'm Evie or Eevee. I'll say Evie only because I have a couple Evies in my life. And I have been listening to the podcast for a few months now. I'm obsessed with the Appalachian Mountains even though I think never step foot in America, but a little bit of background about me and my story. I've always been fascinated with ghost stories and the possibility that something else is there after life. And I'm not religious, but a few years ago I found out that I can see auras mainly on my pets at home.

Oh, what oh, pet auras.

That's so cool.

So I definitely do have a spiritual side, but that's another story. In this experience that I'm going to share, I

30:00

was 14. I'm now 20. So it was just after lockdown when things were starting to open back up again and my mom, my sister, my aunt, my cousins all traveled to Blackburn, which is where my mom and my aunt grew up with Pendle Hill looming in the background. If I'm right in remembering, Blackburn has a lot of old houses and a history of witches. My mom is open to the spiritual world and would sometimes get the feeling that she just hated certain buildings. And she often doubted herself quite a bit in this feeling.

Mhm.

In her late teens, she did see a ghost in her room in Spain while she was on holiday. I vividly remember parking the car at the bottom and looking up at that hill. Such a strange shape for your typical hill, which apart from the witch trial is another reason that it's so famous. It was super windy already, and if you know England, it's always gray and cloudy, and so the view from the top it's wasn't even worth it. Anyway, we all start walking up. It's this loose stone path, and almost immediately as I started on the trail, I

31:00

got such a strong and pulsing migraine. I said something to my mom and my aunt, and they both assumed that this was just an excuse. But the further we got up the hill, the more sick I was getting. I was twisting my ankles, my back felt like it had been punched. I remember my vision started to go yellow and hazy, like I was about to pass out. And we finally got to the top. The weather was awful, the view wasn't worth it at all. I'm walking back down the hill now, and it probably took 2 hours, but I kept feeling like someone was pushing me down the hill, or was [clears throat] following me at least at a really close distance. I was walking down with my aunt. My mom and my sister were a few meters ahead of us. My aunt does not believe in the paranormal at all, and just said that it was the wind. But the wind doesn't make the hair on the back of your neck stand up like a sixth sense, does it?

No.

Throughout this entire walk, I had this huge migraine. But the second we're standing in the car park, completely gone. And if any of you had a migraine, you know that it usually takes a few

32:00

days to go away completely. So yeah,

Or at least hours.

Yeah. Yeah. I didn't see anything, and I thought the witches of Pendle were just a local story based on the witch trials. But turns out it could be more to. But that's all for now. Sending love and protection from Evie.

Feel like we need to do an episode on the witches of Pendle Hill.

I know. Well, it's so interesting because like her mom had a lot of things happen, too. And it just makes me think that like they could be reincarnations of the witches of Pendle Hill. Like that's where my mind was going.

Oh, I like that take.

Yeah. Just because like they're like her and her mom specifically are the ones that are affected and afflicted when it comes to like being there.

Huh. Now I want to know more about it.

Mhm.

Coming soon to a Two Girls One Ghost near you. Um what if this could be a chain? First podcast ever. Like just create a little pop-up store.

a bunch of duos that just like we all go by the same name.

Sabrina and Karen.

[laughter]

We're now looking for many Sabrina and

33:00

Karen friends.

Someone emailed and they were like, "My sisters like both of my sisters' names are Sabrina and Karen."

That's so weird.

like, "That is wild." Okay. I have one

black magic and a curse

more from our listener whose name is Ash. And it too is a story about black magic and a curse.

Nice.

Yeah. I had a theme within our theme. Hello beautiful girls. I hope you're doing well. My name is Ash.

I sure look too beautiful today.

[laughter]

I actually like this like this vibe. I feel like I wish I could wear this all the time.

This is giving a little um Oh god, who's the girlfriend of the Joker?

Oh um I was just thinking Harley Quinn. Yeah, Harley Quinn. Especially with the especially with the pigtails.

Now that I have the pigtails in it feels Harley Quinn. I did feel like that when I put the pigtails in.

Okay. This is a story I'm going to tell you about the time when the tenant at my family home hexed my entire family. Yay. I'm writing it to you after listening to Andrea's story in episode 273 because it's so similar to mine. Okay. Most of

34:00

my paranormal encounters happened around the COVID era. I mentioned this in my previous email as well. But I'll give you a little background. We live in a house that my parents bought back in 2004 and it was constructed from scratch. So brand new build. We know that the house was never haunted and it was built according to Vastu Shastra which is an ancient Hindu architectural science that aims to harmonize built spaces with nature to promote well-being and prosperity and maximizes positive maximizes positivity and is supposed to prevent and minimize negativity. Supposed Supposed to. Keyword, supposed to. We had tenants in our home from December 2015 till June 2020. They had two daughters and were a very nice warm family. The elder daughter was the same age as me and we had been best friends since before she moved to our house. After they moved out of the house, we were looking for new tenants because the passive income helped pay our bills and back then we really could have used more financial help. So, we put out an

35:00

advertisement inviting people looking for a space to live in. A month or two later, a family of three women visited our house to check it out and they seemed very happy with it. They decided to move in. They moved in fairly quickly which seemed a little weird to me because people were avoiding moving at that time because of COVID. And mind you guys, I never interacted with this family, just my parents and my elder brother talked to them and then told me about them before they moved. Like I said, it was a family of three, a divorced single mother and two of her daughters. The eldest daughter was the same age as my brother and the youngest one was two years older than me. So, they move in. Fast forward one week. They start living here except they said that their water purifier was not working and kept asking us every day for water. Their mother worked at a clothing store and usually came home late around 10:00 or 11:00 p.m. So, my parents used to invite both of the daughters upstairs in the evening to have tea and snacks with us, which is very typical Indian family thing to do. However, after two weeks of this entire thing happening

36:00

every day, I started getting annoyed. Mainly because I was the one who had to make the tea and cook for everyone.

[laughter]

It sounds like a great little daily ritual until

you have to do all the work.

doing Yeah. But, I was also getting annoyed because my brother told me he liked the oldest daughter of the family and would love to date her. Now, obviously this was none of my business, his life, he can date whoever he wants and you know, he has dated some disastrous people in the past, so whatever. But, there was something about this that felt off. Hmm. [clears throat] I thought maybe it was because she lived in the same house, or I wasn't used to them yet. After all, I had just lived right next door to my best friend for so many years, and she had just moved, so maybe I was just sad. But, no. I knew it was something else. What started as asking for water soon turned into asking for ingredients that shouldn't be given to people, like lemon, salt, etc. And then the eldest daughter just started to walk into our house and take things out of our fridge herself.

Oh, she's getting a little comfortable.

37:00

Yeah. One day, a pigeon-like bird flew into our balcony when my mom, brother, and that girl were sitting there with the ceiling fan on, and they flew into the van.

Oh, no. Oh, that's so tragic and so gross.

Um I thankfully did not witness it, but my mom was really traumatized by it. Around that time, we also had some pet fishes, and one morning, they all randomly died. And I was very attached to them. It broke my heart, and I cried so much. I saw both of these things as a bad omen. As I told you guys, this person and her sister used to come upstairs to have tea with the family. They used to stay after having tea, and I used to go to my room to study, or go to the terrace to listen to music. The younger daughter tried befriending me, but her views never matched mine, so we really didn't vibe too well. Again, I don't have the faintest memory of why or if something happened, but I just knew something was off. But, one day, when the eldest daughter, who I'll call P, was in our house, she was cooking pasta. I went out to go look and

38:00

see what she was doing, and she asked me to go rest, that she will do her thing. But, something in the back of my head said, "Don't leave. She's going to add something harmful to the food."

[sighs]

Ooh. So, I didn't leave. I stood there.

in the back of your head, or uh like an actual voice? I'm curious. So, your intuition, or did a spirit come through and say Either way, watch your back. Strong enough to stay.

Yeah.

So I stayed there watching her cook, unable to leave. One night she invited me to sleepover with her downstairs, and so I did, but I could not sleep. I was freezing. And this is Indian August weather, and I was freezing cold. As the sun rose, I ran upstairs to my room. And at this point my brother was crazy in love with P. He would buy her gifts, and mind you, we were going through a rough patch financially at that moment. And one day I heard my parents planning to buy this girl a laptop. While my brother and I were using an old phone that we had bought 10 years prior.

39:00

Hm.

Naturally.

of reminding me of There was a story from not too long ago that we read where it was like someone's nanny or like a caretaker

said this reminded episode 273

Was that one?

be. She said it reminded her of her own experience.

it must be the same thing.

So when I found out they were planning to buy this girl a laptop, I lashed out at my parents, and they told me to shut up because she didn't have a dad and they were just trying to help. And I was like, "What?" And this is when I started to notice more signs. Whenever I would say anything to P and her family, my entire family would lash out at me like I was an outsider and they were the real family.

Hm.

One day my brother broke out of his trance and realized what was happening and called one of our maternal aunts explaining the situation. By the time that our aunt came to our house, my brother was back in whatever trance she had put him under.

My gosh. How very One Wish Willow

It's scary.

session.

Yeah.

But I was never under the trance. I could feel the tears fill up my eyes. I

40:00

looked at my aunt, I served her tea, and I told her everything. She then looked into my mom's eyes. Her dilated pupils told her what she needed to know. Then she sat my mom down and told her that we had been hexed. Well, they had been hexed because I was fine. I was the only one who could see through it all. But my aunt told my brother to start praying. Thankfully, he listened, which made the spell weaker, and he started getting into fights with my parents because they were still in this trance-like state. After my aunt's visit, my mom also started seeing signs and started to avoid P and her family, and eventually convinced my dad to do it, too. When things didn't get better, my parents decided to consult my uncle and another person who had spiritual powers. My uncle was also known for being spiritually gifted. He could see things we didn't, but not physically. Like, he could see it in his head when he meditated. Just as a backstory, my dad had gotten his wallet stolen, and it had $5,000 of cash in it back in the 1990s, and he asked my uncle, and my uncle was able to tell him who stole it, where it was, when it was stolen, and what

41:00

happened with the money. Whoa. And then so this other person that came with my uncle was even more popular and had a lot more spiritual powers. So the two of them together, we were like, okay, they could help. Both of them, my uncle and this other man, told my parents that the girl P and her family were witches who practiced dark magic and did it on my family, and somehow I escaped it. Whoa. The details of the black magic were this: She hexed my parents to be under her control and my brother to be in love with her through food that she cooked.

Hmm.

Here's the kicker. According to my uncle and this other man, P added her menstrual blood for the love spell into the food.

Oh my [ __ ] god, that is so sick.

My parents and brother

bodily fluids.

None.

Zero.

Zero.

Wear a glove when preparing your food.

Yes.

I don't even want your dead skin cells. Nothing.

My parents and my brother were told to pray and let the god handle it while both my uncle and the other person did a

42:00

cleansing and banishing rituals to get rid of the dark energy. They also told them to get rid of that family and look for new tenants after cleaning the house physically with incense. So that's what we did. And after that family left, another family moved into our house and nothing went wrong since then. Except for a few hauntings that I experienced and nightmares that I sent in another email. But, yeah, that's my story. Hope to see you on the other side. Love, Ash.

Damn. How intense.

Um [ __ ] Okay, that's definitely the exact her referencing that one

Yeah, episode 273.

cuz that's so similar.

Which is also crazy that multiple people have experienced this.

And also it was so creepy like the dilation of the eyes and getting like snapping out of the trance for just long enough to be like, "I need help. I need help. We need help."

Yeah. It also reminds me of obsession.

Yeah.

Which I haven't seen yet. But, hopefully by the time this actually comes out, I will have seen it.

Damn. Oh my god, that is like that's some real scary witchcraft.

And also like here's the thing. I love

43:00

witchcraft. I think it's magical and beautiful. And if you have the ability to have this much power to impact other people and their family, why aren't we using it for good?

Think about how to have to conjure like an actual family. Like why can't you conjure things in other ways?

Or do that to people who deserve it, who are bad people and make them better people.

True. True.

Think about the things that you can do.

Right. It just makes me disappointed. What is that quote from Spider-Man? Like about how power is Do you know what I'm talking about?

No, not at all.

The uncle says it before he dies.

Aw.

Spider-Man power quote.

Peter.

With great power comes great responsibility.

Oh, yes.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Dang.

supplement kick, all thanks to The Absorption Company. I cannot recommend them enough. I learned because of The Absorption Company that the vast majority of supplements have really low absorption rates, meaning most of what people spend money on never actually gets used by the body. The Absorption Company is singularly focused on solving that biggest problem in supplements, the low absorption. Most supplements absorb at less than 16%, meaning over 84% of the supplements we take are completely wasted, but not Absorption Company. And like I said, I've been really focused on taking magnesium because magnesium supports over 300 bodily functions. It promotes better sleep, supports muscle recovery, regulates your stress and mood, and so much more. I've noticed since taking it for the last 2 months, what used to be racing thoughts before I went to bed is so much quieter, which means I get to sleep better. my father used witchcraft on us

Well, I have an email that caught my attention because it's called Tokoloshe experience / my father used witchcraft on us. Which I'm like Toko I don't think we've ever like truly gotten a Tokoloshe.

We've never gotten one. You covered them.

I covered Tokoloshe, which is a cryptid creature from an area in Africa.

Yeah.

That like is believed to be living in like the skin sacks of dead people. So it's like it's like a dead man's skin creature.

no bodily fluids or dead skin in your food.

Uh Oh, and I must have pronounced Tokoloshe wrong and I probably am now cuz I said I also attached a video to help you pronounce

How are we supposed to say it? Should we listen to the video?

learn.

Okay.

Let's take this moment to learn.

WhatsApp video, so I think we're in here. Let me say it.

It's a what? That I've been telling you about. I mean, there's lots of different

47:00

ways to pronounce it.

Ooh.

But the way that I know it is Tokoloshe.

Tokoloshe.

Tokoloshe.

Tokoloshe, sorry.

Thank you.

Woah, I can't believe I said it wrong a million times. Tokoloshe. From now

We love learning.

Tokoloshe.

Tokoloshe.

Hey ladies, Natalie [clears throat] Rose here all the way from South Africa. I actually commented on one of your videos on how to pronounce Tokoloshe. Now I got it, thank you.

We know now.

So it feels kind of surreal finally sending story. Also, I recently started working night shifts, so you guys genuinely keep me company. Thank you for that.

In the witching hour.

A little backstory. My parents were only married for about 6 months before they separated and my father is da da da yeah.

[laughter]

Creepy is me being nice.

Ooh.

He's controlling, he's obsessive, he's the kind of person who jokes about being the devil, but in a way where you're like, why are you saying that?

I feel like when men make certain jokes,

48:00

it's actually them telling you

They're telling on themselves.

yeah.

Yeah.

I guess that's not only specific to men. I think some I think people in general have a habit of telling on themselves.

Yeah, it makes you feel less guilty about whatever you're doing cuz you're like, well, people kind of know.

Yeah.

So, after everything, my mom and I moved in with my grandparents. My grandfather made it very clear that my father was not welcome. Like, he couldn't even step onto the sidewalk outside of our property.

So, obviously, that didn't stop my dad.

That probably made him want to do it more.

If anything, it just made him more determined to find a way to still know what we were doing. Now, at some point, and we didn't know this at the time, he went to a sangoma. And yes, [clears throat] I know a sangoma is meant to be a healer, but this person was not that.

Mhm.

This was something else. But, I'll come back to that.

Okay.

Because before we even knew any of this, things started getting really weird in the house. I was around 11 or 12, and my

49:00

mom and I shared a bed, which I loved at the time. I felt so safe.

Aw.

But, for months, every time I showered, I had this horrible feeling that I was being watched. You know that feeling when you're washing your hair and you have to close your eyes, and your brain is like, yeah, this is when something's going to be behind you? Well, that was me, every time. I was constantly looking over my shoulder. I couldn't relax. I'd rush through showers just to get out. And then, the nights started getting weird, too. We'd hear things, loud bangs, things falling, just noise that didn't make sense. My mom told me later that every night, while she read her Bible, she would see something small running back and forth in her peripheral vision. Never directly in front of her, always just out of sight.

That gives you the whole

And it's like when when reading the Bible, so it's like it's it has the awareness of what you're doing.

Now, here's the thing. This wasn't even her first Tokoloshe experience. Before she met my father, she had

50:00

encountered one and it told her that it would come back for her. She said that it tried to and trigger warning for sexual assault, but it tried to assault her while her husband at the time was asleep right next to her.

What the heck?

And no matter how much she screamed, no matter how much she shook her husband, he would not wake up. He only woke up once this creature left. So, when things started happening again, she already had this feeling of what this thing could be and she was so over it.

Yeah.

contacted a woman, someone that we didn't even know, to come over and pray and cleanse the house. We got her number through someone at church, so she literally knew nothing about us. And the same night my mom reached out to her, that is when I had my experience. I woke up randomly. I don't know what time it was because I needed my specs to function and I was not about to go looking for them, but something felt off. So, I opened my eyes. I sat up slightly and I saw a man standing at the foot of the bed on my mom's side, clear

51:00

as day. Which makes no sense because I can't even properly see a short distance in front of me without my glasses, but I saw everything. He was wearing a dark brown suede blazer. His hair was long, wet and covering his entire face. He was just standing there. And I was terrified. I pulled a sheet over my face, like that was going to help, but then again, I clearly don't learn and so I looked again and he was closer, not walking, not moving normally, just closer than he'd had been before. At this point my heart is racing. I grab onto my mom and then I look one more time. Big mistake because now he is right there leaning over me. So close that his hair is basically in my face. I immediately pulled the covers over my head again, held onto to my mom for dear life, and I must have eventually fallen asleep because I don't really remember anything after that. But the next day, I went to school like normal, and when I got home, my mom told me that the woman had come earlier that day to cleanse the house. And this is where things get

52:00

crazy.

Oh, no.

During As if things weren't already

Right. Also sad cuz I feel like you you want to believe a blessing will help.

Yeah.

Or that you fell asleep and you didn't just like black out from the fear. During the cleansing, she said that she saw a well-dressed man in a brown blazer run out of the house and then disappear into smoke.

What?

And then she tells my mom something that she should not have known at all. She says, "I spoke to the tokoloshes in your shower. They said that they were sent by a witch sent by your ex-husband. They were sent to watch you, especially in the shower, to disturb you and report everything back to him. I was floored. Because as insane as that sounds, it explains everything. That feeling in the shower, the noises at night, what my mom was saying, what I saw, all of it. And the craziest part? It meant I wasn't crazy.

[laughter]

Something actually was there watching us because someone sent it to.

Yeah.

Yeah. Uh that's my story. I do have a

53:00

few others, mostly dreams, but nothing has ever hit me the way that this did. So, stay safe, ladies, because sometimes the things watching you were put there on purpose. See you on the other side. And this is from Natalie Rose.

Okay, I am glad that the blessing did work cuz I got nervous when you said, "This is where things get crazy." I thought like the blessing made it worse cuz we've also had experiences like that or read stories like that. But damn.

Mhm.

I wish that when a witch or a healer or someone who has these abilities came to remove a curse, they could trace it directly back to who put it on. Like yes, it was sent by her ex-husband.

Mhm.

But what witch did he go to? Cuz I want to go have a word with her. And I feel like you should be able to reverse it where it goes back to

him.

And

her.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Anyone who created it gets it slapped back at them.

Karma. Speaking of karma, here's a little bit of a pleasant story. At my soccer game this past weekend, we

54:00

had a double header, we had a back-to-back games. And so, being the team mom that I am, I brought

orange slices.

Yeah.

[laughter]

And we had so many of them that I, in the middle of our second game, brought a bag over to the other team.

Mhm.

And everyone on my team was like, "That's too nice. Why would you do that? Like, if we lose, it's cuz of you." And then we won. And then everyone at the end of the game was like, "Okay, it was karma. You did something good."

Yeah, you did something good. Also, like, we're adults.

I know. It was a It was a funny like joke. But anyway, karma is real.

everyone. Yeah, feed the whole world.

Yeah. And I was like, "You know what? I We have extra. Why not?"

Yeah.

I'm a witch.

[laughter]

She will win every soccer game if she feeds you her magical oranges.

I'll sprinkle a little like losing dust on them for you. [laughter]

Loser, loser, loser, loser. She loves me. She loves me not. She loves me. [laughter] She loves me not. Loser, winner, loser, winner.

I love these types of stories.

I know. But it's also just so sad how many people have dealt with curses.

55:00

I know. This ended up kind of being a curse episode even though it was supposed to be about witchcraft. But I feel like with witchcraft, there's so many

that helped remove the curses

from the bad witches.

Yes, generational witches who

Good and evil.

conduct you from the other side.

Yes.

And we'll be back again next week.

Yes, we will.

With another haunting topic.
