This thing was able to crawl up my body.

Oh, a crawler.

dripped a black substance over me.

Um, holy [ __ ]

Very spooky.

Here we are.

This month is coming to an end.

I'm so sad.

But don't you worry. The fate for the next couple of hours is scary.

[laughter]

Grim.

Should you hear a knock on your door,

do not answer.

This is Two Girls, One Ghost.

Two Girls, One Ghost.

We are your ghostesses. That is Corinne.

Hello.

I'm Sabrina, and step inside our tent today where we are going to read

1:00

encounters that you have sent into us.

It's October. It's our favorite time of year.

We're going scary. We're going spooky. And today we have no theme except for scary.

Yeah, just a kitchen sink of weird and scary stuff.

You go first this time.

Okay.

Delight us in the horrors.

haunted doll

All right. I have an email about a haunted doll.

Oh, fantastic.

Hi, my name is Fiona. I'm not going to lie. I haven't listened to the show show a whole bunch, but my friend is obsessed.

[laughter]

And that is what we love. That is the pyramid scheme working because we're getting ghost stories out of it no matter what.

Yep.

I have a friend named Asia who is coincidentally a friend now, but I did not know her when all of this started. I was only able to find out that all of this connected back to her when I told her this story.

Whoa.

But her dad, for whatever reason, had the hobby of going to flea markets and collecting dolls, especially ones that were very creepy and haunted.

Delightful.

Anyway, one day he brings home a doll like normal, but after that day my

2:00

friend Asia starts having horrible nightmares. And the nightmares all involve this doll. She told me that the doll would come to life in her dreams, and it eventually got to the point where she felt like she had to get rid of this doll. So, backstory for my family, my great-great-grandmother was known to be very spiritually inclined. I'm not sure if she was a medium or a clairvoyant or what, but she would communicate with the dead. Growing up, my mom was always very strict with us, never to communicate with any spirits, never try to use a Ouija board, because she believed that my grandmother communicating with spirits ultimately led her to committing a crime, abandoning her children and then going to prison. We don't have much information on grandma's crimes.

like, what's grandma doing?

All of this to say, everyone, especially the women in my family, were very spiritually in tune and still are to this day. We often attract people who are pretty spiritually in tune as well. Okay. So, now back to the main story. Me, Asia, my two sisters, and a family friend of mine named Ali, all went to

3:00

the same school. We did not know Asia at the time. We were all in different grades. Anyway, we had this teacher in our school for acting class, who was very open about the fact that he was into doing paranormal investigations as a hobby.

Hell yeah.

Is that like the track, like theater to

[laughter]

to ghosts? It tracks with us.

[gasps]

Because of this, when Asia needed to get rid of the doll, she thought to bring it to this teacher. She told him she thought it was haunted and she didn't really know what to do with it, but she didn't want it anymore. He supposedly didn't take this warning seriously because he just put the doll out on his prop shelf for any kid to use during class. Now, enter my sister and our friend Ali. Ali's also very spiritually gifted and often communicates with spirits, which ultimately ended up being her downfall, too. But they had this acting class, and my sister described to me that when she got into the class and she saw kids roughhouse playing with the doll, she

4:00

instantly felt really afraid, and she felt like this doll had really dark energy. It did not like being used in that way.

Mhm.

I can't remember exactly what happened, but she said the kids who were playing with the doll had broken it in some way. And I'm pretty sure its arm had been torn almost all the way off, and my sister, whose name is Sam, and Ali talked and they both agreed about the energy that they felt from the doll and decided that they needed to intervene.

Wait, I love that.

My sister Sam decided to bring the doll back to our family home to try and respect the doll by sewing the arm back up.

nice. Wait, that's so nice.

She wanted to give it a safe space to stay, and I don't know all the details as it's Sam's experience, but things progressively started getting worse and worse for all of us in the house.

Ugh, tried to do something good.

the spirit's like, "Hey, I see you, and I'm going to haunt you."

Yeah. Joke's on you. I was just looking for a home. Sam says that she had

5:00

nightmares almost nightly where the doll would appear, similar to what Asia had experienced. And my other sister Ann told me that every night she would wake up and see this dark image standing in her doorway. Sometimes she would dream about it and see it in her sleep, but sometimes she was awake. And she told me that no matter what she did, whether she closed her door or or locked her door, her door would be open in the morning. Now, this is where I can get into more details as this part is my experience. I for the longest time felt an energy in the house, and I was honestly struggling to identify if this was a dark energy or if it was safe, which usually is not something I struggle with discerning. Over time the energy got more and more intense to the point that I just could not ignore it. My friend Ali had moved into our house during this time and was also experiencing things, but little did we know that she had been leaning into it a little too hard. Anyway, I have this vivid memory of sitting in my living room one night watching a show, and I felt an almost nauseating presence of something to the left of the TV.

6:00

And I saw a very detailed image of a little girl in my head. She was probably around 12 or 13 years old, maybe about 5 ft, long dark hair, strong brows, a long dress, etc. And this is important because I told no one what I saw.

Mhm.

I never gave anyone in my home a description, but I pictured that girl in the corner for months, and that is where she seemed to stay. I would be overly respectful, but at night I would speak out and tell her that she was not allowed to cross the doorway into my room or mess with me in any way.

That's still very respectful. That's setting a boundary.

I did this because previously I was waking up with scratches and open doors just like my sister Anne.

Nope.

So like I said, this energy gets strong to a point that I can no longer ignore this. I eventually say to my friend Ali, "I can feel a weird energy in the living room." Not joking, this is what she says back. "Oh yeah, the little girl in the corner?" Uh she then rattles off an almost identical description to what I have

7:00

been seeing. And then she says, "Don't worry, that's my friend." The thought of this makes me instantly sick because of what I know about Ali and how much she's been communicating and opening herself up to spirits, but at the time I really did respect her, and I thought that maybe she knew something that I didn't about this

Poor Ali.

spirituality and energy and whatnot. So I stopped being as cautious. I stopped saying it can't mess with me. And one night when I'm home alone, I'm in the kitchen, which is attached to our living room, and all of my pets start losing it. They're barking, they're hissing, they're growling all in the direction of my couch, and I instantly get terrified. I assume based on their reaction that someone or something, maybe an animal, is under the couch. So, I grab a knife from the knife block and I walk into the living room to check under my couch. And as soon as I went to look under the couch, I hear click click click. I stood up, I whipped my head around, and I saw six flames on the

8:00

stove had all been turned on. The knobs were not turned though, but the flames all ignited.

That's so dangerous and so scary.

I instantly started shouting out that the spirit needed to leave me, leave my home, my home was protected, and that I was not afraid. I couldn't be made to be afraid.

I good on you.

Even though I have like goosebumps all over my body. After then, I started to be extremely cautious and I had less experiences like that. For my sister, it sounds like things did kind of seem to progress. Basically until it got to this extremely bad point as well because my sister Sam ended up bringing the old doll back to school where she found it. But before doing that, she has a friend whose mother was a medium come over to the house to see if she could tell us anything about the doll. And when she did a reading, all her friend said was that she saw fire. Years later, the school that Sam took the doll back to

burned

down. We don't know if the doll was in

9:00

there or if some other person took it home before the building burned down, but I personally have a theory that whatever spirit or demon or something is attached to that doll attached itself to our friend Ally because unfortunately wherever she went, that dark energy seemed to follow.

Well, it sounds like Ally was also dabbling in a lot.

Yeah. Ally's no longer in our lives, but I can say that this experience convinced me and then they put uh like a 100% but with a million other zeros. Uh the ghosts are real and I'm not sure, but I'm almost certain that that doll had a demon attached to it.

Damn.

Yep.

This is from Fiona.

Well, um

Two truths and a lie. This is our October theme for these. My haunted doll burned down my high school.

Thank god it didn't burn down your house cuz it seems like it was trying to.

The fact that it can conjure the fire without actually like manipulating the

10:00

tool to create the fire.

Anything when a spirit causes fire

Mhm.

I think it's demonic.

Yeah.

Well, cuz it it feels like there's intent to harm and kill, and sounds like there was. Well, I'm glad my haunted dolls aren't doing [ __ ] like that. I've had very little experiences with my haunted objects from last October.

paranormal game

I have one about a paranormal game, and it is from our listener Nyxora. I don't know how to say it.

Woah.

N Y X O R A. Nyora? I don't know if you pronounce the X.

I'll call you Ny.

Ny?

Ny.

I just finished watching your

Nini?

Sorry. I

I don't know where that one came from. Nini?

Well, cuz you're you're pronouncing it Ny, but what if it's Ni? Ni- Ni- Niak- Nyora?

Yeah, let's do our pronunciation.com. How do you spell it again?

N Y X O R A.

Pronunciation.

Nyxora.

Nyxora. Okay. Nyxora.

Or Nyx.

Well, I like Nyx.

11:00

Yeah.

Okay.

Nyxora.

I just finished watching your podcast episode on

true ghost stories and paranormal games when I got the urge to tell you three of my own. Before I start, I feel it's important to let you know that this is an alias account. I will be changing all other names and using descriptions of locations.

So, is your name not Nyx?

I guess not.

If not, you would have chose a really cool

cool name. Well, then we can call you whatever we want.

Nini. [laughter]

Nini?

Um I do feel comfortable letting you know that I'm currently a 26-year-old female working a blue-collar job practicing a craft of my own. These are the stories of ghostly games I played, mostly throughout my younger years, that have really stuck out to me. The first one. Around fifth grade, I attended a school that felt pretentious, as the mayor's daughter also attended the school at the time.

[laughter]

My mother was working, my sister Tia was in high school, and my grandparents could no longer drive. So, I was stuck in the after-school program with a bunch of younger students until my mom could pick me up. I've always been the biggest kid in school, 5' 11", 250 lb at the

12:00

time. And everyone there loved having me around because I could pick the kids up, toss them, help them on the monkey bars, help them up if they fell, and even help the teachers in gathering everyone inside when we needed to go back in.

[laughter]

Teacher's pet. The helper.

It's reminding me of like one scenario that happened [clears throat] in our high school, where like there was one kid that was being pretty unruly, and one of the larger football players just came up and bear-hugged him from behind. And it's like, "Dude, you got to calm down." And walked him to the front and outside and dropped him there. And it's like

equivalent of picking a kitten up from the scruff.

Yeah, like we're done here. We're not causing a scene.

One day, I was irritable and anxious, wanting to stay away from everyone, and the only place I could get solace was the restroom. The older kids said they got weird feelings from this bathroom, and the younger kids said it was haunted. And yeah, I got an uncomfortable feeling in there, too, but I needed to get away. So, I snuck into the bathroom during playtime, and I sat under one of the

13:00

sinks. There was a cubed glass wall to my right, and then there was an entry hall, and then three stalls on the other side of that hall. All three of them were handicap stalls. Across from that were five regular stalls. Where I was sitting, there were three exposed sinks. There was one across from me, so I could see myself in that mirror. And then there were three oval mirrors above me. The door opened, and three little girls skedaddled in. And thinking they were just going to the restroom, I ignored them. But they made a beeline for me. "Nick Sora, are you hiding?" I chuckled and nodded. The little girl Zoe's blonde curls bouncing as she hopped from foot to foot. A smaller girl with dark curly hair, Natalie, pulled my hand saying, "I don't want to be in here." The other little girl who had thick straight dark hair, Myra, usually who stayed to herself, spoke up and said, "Is it because you're scared?" "Of what?" Natalie asked back. "Bloody Mary." "It's so scary." Zoe said as I stood up. I chuckled and shook my head. "I don't

14:00

even know how to play that." I lied. Myra pursed her lips and before I could fully stand up, she tugged my hand, too. I followed her to the sinks. She turned both on and told us to stare at the mirror. Wanting to amuse the child, I did. Out over my shoulder, I saw Zoe smiling. She turned all the other sinks on, too. "Now we say Bloody Mary three times in a row. We spin in a circle each time we say it. When you stop, watch your eyes."

I've never heard the spinning thing before.

No, me neither. But this is kind of fun to get to see like the right of passage moment for some of the younger kids. But they're telling her to do it. She's doing it with the younger kids.

that she doesn't know how to do it. Like has she ever played it before? At least she knew what it was.

A creeping sensation crawled up my spine. We did the spins. We called out Bloody Mary. We stopped and stared into the mirror. I focused on my eyes, blinking, when my face contorted. Which this happens every time I stare into my eyes reflections for too long, but after a third blink,

15:00

I heard a stall open. And this stall always gave me a bad feeling. It's almost nauseating. Anyway, that particular stall door always creaked opened and it groaned when closed. So when I heard that telltale creak not followed by a groan, I almost wet myself. I was alone before the kids come and I could see under the stalls from where I had been sitting under the sink. No one was there. No one else was in the bathroom. I froze. The girls were talking and giggling to each other, but I felt locked in place. I watched the girls, who were more slightly nudging each other, soon make their way out, completely ignoring my frozen stupor. My eyes locked in on my reflection again, and then I saw her, another girl. She was about my height, completely soaked, dripping with water. She was wearing a plaid pinafore school uniform, had long brown hair covering her face completely.

Oh my gosh. This wasn't the Bloody Mary you thought you were conjuring?

No, it's like Moaning Myrtle.

Yeah.

She tilted her head to the side, partly

16:00

showing half of her bloated face, and a single solid white eye. I felt my pulse in my hands as I clenched them into my fists at my side. She seemed to realize I could see her, and there was a look of recognition on her face. Then I blinked, and suddenly she was right behind me. Her cold, wet, bloated, and clammy hands touched my face from behind. I screamed, and when I did, she disappeared.

touched. Like, for your face to be touched to just like, oh, the reach around, the reaching around.

And their wet hands.

I screamed and she disappeared.

tall, too, so it's like I'm not used to being

No.

grabbed like that.

The head of the school program quickly came inside when I screamed, shut off all the sinks, and comforted me, and then led me from the restroom.

All cuz these little kids are like, play the game with us, play it.

That's when it happens, when you think you're just doing it playfully, like, oh, nothing's going to happen, and then all of a sudden a little wet, soaking,

17:00

drip, dripping wet girl grabs your face.

god.

paranormal game cont’d

Second story, another time I played Bloody Mary. This time it was a prank on me. So I was younger this time than the previous story. So I was probably like five or six this time.

So you already had a Bloody Mary experience and then pretended you didn't played and then had the dripping wet schoolgirl

Yes.

grab your face.

in a bathroom that everyone agrees is weird and haunted and not good vibes. Okay, so I was five or six. I was small enough to fit in the dryer during hide and seek before this incident.

[laughter]

My sister, Tia, was spending the night at her friend Sierra's house. Our moms

20:00

were friends, so I was able to tag along. Tia was about 10 or 11 at the time and her friend was the same age. We recently had dinner and our moms planned to go out for a few hours, so us girls watched TV for a little bit before heading upstairs. The two older girls, Tia and Sierra, went to the guest room where there was a desk, bunk beds, a side table, and a mirror closet full of clothes. I was in her friend's room. And to get me to leave them alone, Sierra pulled out two giant buckets full of Bratz dolls, which were my thing at the time, and told me I could have them if I left them alone.

Aw.

Sounds like my sister.

The bribes. It sounds like us with poor Noah.

Here's a little skeleton.

He gets a skull tax.

He does.

Noah will not leave the office when we're getting ready to record unless we offer him a skull.

Something spooky.

Or a skeleton or something horrifying and then he takes it and walks out.

And he has a basket of skulls because of this.

Yeah, and he starts stealing the back so we have more tax to give him, more payment.

21:00

I was so excited about these Bratz dolls and I pinky promised to leave them alone. Maybe an hour later, I had to go to the bathroom. So I quietly opened the door and ran to the bathroom, flipped on the light, shut the door, and used the stepstool to get on the toilet. I was about to get off when the door opened. Tia and Sierra came in giggling to each other. They turned off the lights and began lighting candles. I couldn't help but cry because I hated the dark. I still to this day hate the dark and I asked them what they were doing and they said, "Playing Bloody Mary, duh." Which is also so sad. She's like trying to finish going to the bathroom and they're like lights off lighting candles trying to be terrifying.

[laughter]

Sierra was kind of always mean to me.

going to the bathroom before, that's a good way to let it all come out.

[laughter]

Or make it worse.

little scared.

Well, we say cleanse your colon with two girls with those.

You got poop problems?

Listen to girls with haunted ghost stories. [laughter]

So, Sierra was kind of mean to me and Tia hardly ever did anything to help. I was getting off the toilet when all of a sudden Sierra and Tia began chanting.

22:00

They were saying her name, spinning in circles. And when they were done, they pushed me down to the floor, ran out of the bathroom, shut the door, and held it closed so I couldn't leave.

That is so cruel.

So mean. I say that, but my sister literally tied me to her bed when she invited me to play with her and then left me tied to her bed.

[laughter]

The trauma.

I screamed.

It was hard being a little child. I'm sorry.

It's okay. [laughter] Build character. I screamed. I tried to open the door, slamming my body into it trying, but then I stopped because I heard crying from within the bathroom with me.

Oh, no.

This crying was coming from the bathtub behind the curtain. I sat against the door trembling. When the crying changed direction, this time it was coming from the sink, the mirror. I slowly looked up and saw the mirror fogging over. And then I heard banging, hollow banging like hitting glass with your fists. My eyes landed on the frame of the mirror watching it rattle before daring to look

23:00

back to the mirror. It no longer was reflecting images from the bathroom, but images of what looked like an empty room.

Mhm.

And before I could get a better look, I saw two hands slam against the mirror.

Oh my god.

I screamed. I grabbed the doorknob, taking it with all my might, and Sierra and Tia finally let me out. And when I came out, they stared at me in disbelief. I pushed past them, ran downstairs, curled up on the couch, and cried. Not too far behind me, Sierra and Tia came. Their faces pale and frozen. Because they, too, saw the hands on the mirror. We stayed glued to the couch until our moms came back and took us home. And Sierra begged her mom to sleep with her in her room. Yeah, Sierra. That's You should have to do Okay, my third story. It's not necessarily a paranormal game, but it was a game I was playing with my family and happened to encounter a paranormal entity. I lived with my grandparents in my family home back in 2017. It was the summer before my last year of high school and had come in full force. The window AC was on full blast. The day

24:00

was ending later than normal, and the heat was boiling us alive in our downtown home in a small town in Texas. My grandparents' house was extremely haunted on its own, and then me, as a person, was even more haunted. So, fast forward. We're playing a game. My cousins would come over every weekend to drink, party, burn miscellaneous things in the comfort of a home no one had to leave at the end of the night. And since summer started, my cousins practically spent every night at the house. This night, we decided to play hide and seek at midnight. Which is a paranormal game. Like, there literally is a game called like The Midnight Game.

Mhm.

And it's essentially hide and seek.

Well, part The bathtub part was reminded me of Hanako-san, which is another The bathtub game is another paranormal game. Yeah.

There's so many games you can play. All horrifying.

So, we started with laughs and shouts, remembering our last game where my eldest cousin fell off the shed roof. Jeez. His girlfriend had to call an ambulance because he landed on the clothesline, snapped, and split his forehead open.

Dude, I'm glad that the clothesline

25:00

didn't do more damage. Like

Yeah, that's crazy.

So, anyway, we're laughing about the last time we played, and we decided this time we should use flashlights. So, I watched everyone move to their hiding spots, leaving one for me. The two-tier storage building my grandfather built stood on three cement blocks in 12 spots underneath. I shimmied under there, under these blocks, getting covered in dirt and dust, ignoring the possibility of snakes, spiders, and bugs. I clicked off my light. I rested quietly, controlling my breathing the best I could. Once my eyes adjusted, I could see every angle in front, but nothing behind me. I watched my cousin David, the one who was the seeker, walk around finding everyone one by one. They gathered by the merry-go-round, talking loudly about who was left. Cuz my little brother, my cousin's best friend, and I. I saw my little brother climb onto the lowest roof of the house, and I saw my cousin's best friend crawling under the band shed.

This backyard has everything.

I know.

26:00

There's a merry-go-round, a shed, clothesline, and then whatever this is, a storage building.

Before they could give up, my little brother slipped, and they all were able to find him. But as they crowded him to get down, I heard shuffling behind me. Fear took over all my senses, freezing me still, my ears going silent, almost ringing. I clutched the dirt slowly, trying to ground myself, wondering why I was suddenly so scared when I was just playing a game with my friends and family. It's just a game. It's probably one of them finding me. I looked around. I couldn't see anyone. But then I started hearing whispering. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but just rapid, hushed whispers. And then, I felt pressure on my ankles.

Mhm.

I was suddenly yanked by my ankles. I held my breath, still not wanting to give my spot away, but I slowly turned over to see what pulling me, because it did not feel human. Its grip was cold and ruthless. Its whispers kept going, never stopping to take a breath. I will never forget what I saw. When I rolled

27:00

over, the floor of the shed was about an inch above my forehead. I lifted my head, but this thing was able to crawl up my body.

Oh, a crawler.

Its hands gripped my thighs as its body hovered over my knees. Its body pure black, angles and wisps of shadows. Its face was inky black with bright white holes for eyes. Its mouth was a gaping maw, similar to a dog's, as it dripped a black substance over me.

Oh, hell no.

I heard my name being called sharply and a flashlight flashed over me. I jumped and the figure was gone. I scrambled out of my hiding spot crying and hyperventilating, and my cousin stopped the game to listen to what I said. Needless to say, no one ever hid under that in any games moving forward. Thank you so much for reading my collection of events that shaped my life and beliefs. Your dark darling, Nixora.

Wow.

Well, Nix. Holy [ __ ] A lot of people

28:00

experienced really terrifying things, but Nix especially.

Sounds like you don't need to play paranormal games. It sounds like they're just going to find you no matter what. Also, you played a lot.

I feel like you played more than I ever have.

And these are just the ones that were the most haunting.

Mhm.

Apparently, this is a common theme. This is the go-to entertainment.

Do you need that entertainment? Like you've a merry-go-round, you've got so much going on, you know?

Jeez.

So, it's the curiosity of what's on the other side.

I'm curious because Nix didn't give the description of like, besides the dripping black liquid, like did it stay on them? What did it feel like? Was it thick and like honey-like? Did it have an odor? Did you taste it? Did it get in your mouth?

I love that that's where you wanted to go with that.

I need to know more about the liquids [laughter] cuz it's so disturbing. Like that is a horror movie scene.

Yes. So So is the wet hand grabbing her face.

Oh.

Mhm.

Oh.

Mhm.

Horrifying.

[sighs]

My favorite story is

Grandma unalived her son’s murderer

Okay, this is called my grandma unalived

29:00

the murderer of her son in the afterlife.

Okay, go off.

Go off. And this is from they're going to go by their internet name, Spooky.

Love it. Hi, Spooky.

Hi, Spooky.

This story starts when my uncle, my mom's younger brother, was shot and killed as he was driving home on the highway in Houston, Texas.

Oh my god.

My uncle was young. He was in his late 20s. But it's hard getting many specific details from my mom, because it's really hard for her to talk about him.

I'm so sorry. That's Yeah, horrible.

And ter- terrifying. The Christmas after his passing, my family traveled to Houston to spend the holidays with my grandma and grandpa. And just a little side note, we have a massive family. They're all over the place, as my mom, along with the majority of her siblings and other family members, were displaced during the Nicaraguan Civil War in the '80s. Most of my family went to the States, while my mom came to Canada, where I was

30:00

born. So, we go to Houston for Christmas, and of course, my family is in mourning.

Mhm.

I must have been about 6 years old at the time. So, this was a really sad trip. A lot of crying, a lot of supporting my grandma at the time. For New Year's, we had a neighbor invite us to their big New Year's party, and it was this big Latino party. So, you best believe the music was blasting, and people were dancing, and laughter consumed the space. It was too much for my grandma, who was still grieving the death of her son just months before. So, my mom, my aunt, my grandma, and myself all ended up walking back to the house to spend a quieter New Year's together.

Aw.

My grandpa was already back at the house. He never even attempted to join the party, but my brother on the other hand decided to stay at the party, which was not a big deal. As we were all readying for the ball to drop, my mom decides to open a champagne bottle and cheers to the new year. I was in the kitchen coloring and drawing on the dining room table. The kitchen had one of those old-school

31:00

open bar type walls that viewed into the living room.

I love I had one of those, too.

Yeah, so cool. And I could see that the women were watching the New Year's Eve show. And as the countdown starts, six, five, four, all the girls start cheering, "Salud, para Allen!" Two, one, they cheered and it was almost like at the same exact second that their glasses hit one another, every single cupboard and drawer in that kitchen aggressively flew open. Dishes, pots and pans, everything started flying out of them.

[clears throat]

And I, being in the kitchen, just remember the sound.

Oh my god.

It was so quick that my brain couldn't even process what was happening in front of me. My ears started ringing and then came the silence that overcame me. I've never really been able to describe it, but it was like every thought just left my brain and there was nothingness. As this was happening, I see my grandpa start running towards me, pick me up from the chair, all while still running out of the kitchen towards the back door that was behind me.

32:00

We ran out to the front of the house where my mom and aunt and my grandma were coming out of the front door, all three screaming and crying.

Yeah, that I mean, how intense.

My brother across the street at the neighbor's party noticed, so now he's coming. And my mom is screaming, "S Allen! S Allen!" She's pointing to the house and my brother goes in. He comes out a minute later and comes straight to me. My grandpa's holding me. I'm distraught. However, it was not from fear of what just happened. It was actually seeing the three women in my family in the state that they were in.

Yeah. Sometimes seeing other people have such an intense emotions is like the toughest part.

yeah.

He grabs me and says, "Gorda, that was an earthquake, okay? We just had an earthquake, but it's over now." And I'm [clears throat] little, so I believe him. And me and the matriarchs of the family, we stay outside as a few friends come over and help clean up the kitchen. I can hear everyone whispering, pretty much praying and talking about ghosts and spirits, but I let it go. The trip ends, we go home, we don't talk about

33:00

what happened that night. The next summer, we go back to Houston. I don't know what inclines me, but I ask my grandma about that night. Something just didn't really sit right with me.

Uh how about everything didn't sit right with you? Yeah.

She tells me that she knows my mom wants to protect me, but that I should know the truth. She told me that it was my uncle. That he was unsettled in the afterlife because he was too young, he had too much to live for, and he resented dying before his time.

That makes me really sad. I wanted to view it as like he was cheering with them.

Yeah.

At the New Year's.

Yeah, like "Woohoo!" Burst of energy.

Yeah.

It made sense for some reason, and I try to think back on it now, and I was a kid, but like why did that make sense? But at the time it just did. That was the reason for what happened that night.

Yeah.

Days later, we're driving in the suburbs, and we stop at a stop sign. My grandpa was driving, my mom was in the front seat, and I was in the back with my grandma. Within a second, I felt the energy in the car shift.

34:00

I could tell my grandma became extremely uncomfortable. So, I tried to comfort her by reaching out and touching her with my hand, but as soon as I slightly graze her skin, she quickly grabs my wrist and pulls me in. Shaking uncontrollably, she points to a random house and says, "En esa casa vive el que mató mi hijo." In that house lives the man who killed my son. The energy was thick. I knew that she was tuning into something.

Oh my god.

My mom grabs her hand, takes it off of my arm. She gets upset. "Stop, Mom," she says, "you're scaring La Niña." But the truth was, she wasn't scaring me. I knew that she knew the truth. Damn.

best, but their litter? Ooh.

36:00

Not our favorite, which is why I want to tell you about Boxie. This podcast is sponsored by Boxie, and Boxie is the last cat litter you will ever switch to, and their Boxie Pro Deep Clean is the best cat litter money can buy. Once I started using Boxie, I was like, "Excuse me, where have you been my whole life?" It's amazing. And here's the thing, it's the pro in Boxie Pro stands for probiotics, which Boxie puts into the litter, and that gobbles up all that gross odor-causing bacteria, and it keeps the litter box continuously odor free. Trust me, anytime people would walk into my home, no one knew that I had a cat because it didn't smell like litter. And plus with Boxie, you do not need to do full litter changes. You just scoop, top it off with fresh Boxie litter and that's it. I truly have tried so many different litters over the years, but Boxie Pro Deep Clean, that's it. I'll never use a different litter. Grandma unalived her son’s murderer cont’d

So fast forward a couple years, my grandma takes a trip back home to Nicaragua. Side note, we ended up burying my uncle there. Her sister recalls that during that time of one of the visits to my uncle's gravesite, my grandma kept saying, "I'll see you soon mi hijo. I'm coming home." Even though her sister didn't like her verbiage there, she kept asking her to stop saying that, but she would continue until they left the gravesite. Her sister recalls that that night my grandma got up in the middle of the night, made herself a really big breakfast of beans and eggs, queso frito, avocado, bread and coffee.

Wow, you're making me hungry.

[laughter]

You're not you? Her sister gets up angry, "Uh what are you doing up? Why are you making breakfast? Go back to bed." But eventually she just gave up and

Let her do her thing.

Yeah. Uh and joined her. She says they talked and talked and reminisced on childhood. They kissed each other goodnight, they went to their rooms, went back to sleep. But grandma did not wake up in the morning. She passed away peacefully in her sleep.

38:00

I'm that is so sad and I can't imagine waking up to find your mother like that, but how beautiful of like a last memory you shared with her.

[sighs]

It's like she knew that she was going to go and like had to make this moment for them. Now here's where it all connects again. So fast forward another year, my mom gets a phone call from that same neighbor in Houston. As my mom's on the call, I can see her face drop. Her eyes are watering, tears start rolling down her cheeks, so I knew this call was bad. She hangs up and I asked her what happened, and she tells me that the house that my grandma was obsessed with, the one that she claims had the killer of her son, burnt to the ground with absolutely nothing left, only ashes. The only person in the house was the man that my grandma believed shot my uncle. And that man died a horrible death. Apparently, he lived with his whole family, but they were on a trip when the fire happened. He was the only one who stayed back at the house.

39:00

As my mom is telling me, I can tell that she's starting to disassociate and in that moment she says, "It was Mamita and Alan. They burnt his house down together." Here's the final kicker. It was on the anniversary of my uncle's death.

[sighs]

Oh my gosh.

of stories with my grandma as I know she was extremely psychic. She was brujita as [ __ ] but she she would predict events. She had an herb garden where she would make teas and concoctions. And I believe it was some sort of hoodooism that she practiced.

Interesting.

My mom was also extremely connected to the spiritual as well, uh but she repressed and denied a lot because she identified as being Christian.

Mhm.

I myself have my own set of experiences. My uncle, the one from the main story, was the first death that I ever remember being within the family. It was also the first time that I had one of my dreams. In short, the night that my uncle died, I had a dream with him.

40:00

Aw.

I was in an open field surrounded by complete forest. And from the tree line, I see my uncle walk towards the field. I run to him. We immediately start playing. We're running around the field, we're playing tag, we're racing to the edge. We dance, we laugh. It was beautiful. And there was a moment where he picks a small daisy from the field. He puts it in my hair and he says, "Take care of my sister. Tell her I love her." In that moment, I then feel this tug, a force taking me back out of the field. As I'm being consumed by this black hole, all in an instant, I wake up in pure panic, screaming and crying. And my mom comes in, she consoles me asking me what I was dreaming about. And I'm confused because my dream was beautiful. So, why am I full of fear after waking up?

Right.

I tell her my dream and she lays down with me until I fall asleep. The next morning is when my mom received the call that my uncle had died.

Oh, wait. That's why you were screaming cuz you didn't like know your uncle was dead.

From that point on, I had dreams about every single maternal family member that died moving forward.

41:00

Wow.

were a lot. By the time that the third death happened, my mom and I understood what my dreams meant. We prepared for these calls.

Aw.

Always took place in the same field, doing something different, but same field, and always beautiful. My dreams did stop when I was about 15. My last dream was another uncle, but his death and pain that followed it was different. This uncle was a father to me and his death hurt me on a different level.

Mhm.

And at that point in life, death is natural for me and my dreams, and I recognized that this is my last goodbye with my loved one. And when I had this dream about this particular uncle, it was one of the first times that I woke up, I got to my knees, I prayed to God that I was wrong.

That's really tough. It's like this double-edged sword cuz you get these beautiful moments with them, but then you know.

You know it's coming.

It's not like it happened after their death.

Right. Yeah, she says, "Usually my dreams came with a bit of acceptance

Mhm.

of what was to come.

Yeah.

42:00

But with this uncle, I felt a moment of desperation and I prayed to God to take my gift away. I don't want to have these dreams anymore. I do not want to know."

Mhm.

With love, Spooky.

Wow, Spooky. I don't even know where to begin. That's horrible. I can't even fathom. And it's how horrible for someone to die in such a horrible way and they didn't have answers for so long and they had to seek justice in the afterlife.

Yeah. It is like it's I know that our theme was scary, but it's like scary in a different way, too, where it's like humans are scary.

Humans are scary and just like finding peace in the afterlife or getting justice can be scary. And this story reminded me a little bit of the Zona Heaster Shue, the Greenbrier Ghost, which was a story we covered very early days of our podcast about a spirit who connects with her mom who's still living after she dies and points fingers at her murderer. And I feel like [clears throat] this is

43:00

it's like one of those things where like it's also kind of a horror movie theme or like trope, too, where like an an entity becomes an entity when it's just a spirit who hasn't been like the wrongs haven't been righted.

Right.

And other bursts of energy and crazy things happening.

know where to like put it.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Until finally they get justice and then peace

And they find peace.

Yeah.

ghost man and an eerie death

I have one more to end this on. And it is called Ghost Man and an eerie death. Hi, my name is Anna and I have a handful of ghostly encounters starting from a fairly young age. My family is Native and some of us are gifted in some way or another. I, unfortunately, see stuff. I try to block everything out unless I do want to see because I've seen something I'd like to never see again, but that is not this story. This is actually two stories and involves my aunt and I figured I may as well tell you her story as well. So, story number one. I was too young to remember any of this happening, but my

44:00

mom does. We decided to visit family on the reservation. However, since we didn't live up there, we had to get an Airbnb before Airbnb existed, but that's what we'll call it. It was me, my sister, my aunt, my mom, and dad all staying there. My dad took the car and drove somewhere, which will come into play later. And so, my sister, myself, we went to go sleep in separate rooms. It was just my mom and my aunt awake chatting on the couch. As they were chatting, catching up with one another, they both stopped and stared into the hallway. Just to see a tall, black figure walking down the hall into the room I was sleeping in. They were spooked. So, my mother turned to my aunt. My aunt silently nod, confirming, "Yep, she saw it, too." And they talked about seeing it, but decided to carry on with their conversation. This is like the predicament that I go through in my mind, where I'm like, "What if I see something go into Noah's room? Do you What do I do? Do I run right away, or do I stop and wait and observe, and step in

45:00

only when absolutely necessary?" Well, they the chose to not do anything, and minutes later, I walk out of the room hysterical, crying to my mom saying, "He won't leave me alone. Tell him to leave me alone." So, my mother told my aunt she'd be right back. She took me back to my room, laid down with me saying, "I just had a nightmare." Which, come on.

What? She What She knows. She knows that there's something else.

trying to keep her calm. A few minutes go by and nothing happens. I slowly go to sleep, and my mom just cuddles me. That is until she feels the bed dip, and a man lays down behind her and wraps his arms around her. She now knew this is definitely not a nightmare, and the thing that she saw walking into my room was now touching her.

Uh yeah. Cuddling. Big spoon.

herself down and told the man, "You cannot touch me. You are not allowed to be here. You need to leave." And he did.

Wow.

My mother, relieved, stayed with me for

46:00

a few more minutes and got up, went back to my aunt. My aunt, however, was shaken because she saw the black shadow leave the room, walk into the hallway, and disappear. They didn't see that man again, but like I said earlier, my father taking the car would come into play. He actually ended up crashing the car and had to walk back to the Airbnb.

Woah.

And while walking back, he saw a man standing in the tree line smoking a cigarette. Since he had just gotten in an accident and he was shaken up, he stopped and asked the man for a cigarette. But the man didn't reply. So my father says, "Whatever." Keeps walking. But for some reason, he decides to look back and the man was no longer there. I don't know if it was the same man or what.

Who is this like weird watcher of the property?

But I'm very glad I don't remember the man bothering me.

Wait, do we know where the Airbnb was? Did they say the state?

No, they just said near a reservation. No. Okay, story number two. This is about my aunt who has passed, but it's about the mystery of her passing, if we can call it that.

47:00

I'll call my aunt Aunt C. This isn't particularly paranormal, but shows my mom being in tune. So at the time, my mom was having the same reoccurring dream every night. It was outside of Aunt C's house, and there was a man telling Aunt C to come with him very insistently. Aunt C kept saying, "No. No." She didn't want to go. And my mom was scared, and she kept having this dream over and over. She knew it meant something, so she decided to go see Aunt C. And when she got there and told Aunt C about the dream she kept having, Aunt C was scared, telling my mom to stop because that was happening. Someone, maybe one of Aunt C's friends, I can't recall his name, was insisting that she come out with him, and she kept rejecting his offer. My mother said, "Please, please don't go with him. It's not a good idea. I have a bad feeling." A few days later, my aunt was found naked in her bed and dead. Her death was reported as a natural death.

Oh my Oh, gee, that's horrific.

Yeah. A few weeks after my aunt's death,

48:00

I told my cousin about the dreams. She told me that she saw the man outside of Aunt C's house the day before she was found. Sounds like Aunt C did go out with that man and brought him home. We don't know what happened after that except for that man ran out of state after that night. A few years after her death, he called my cousins and cried to her saying, "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry." When she tried to ask what happened, he just hung up. I don't want to speculate, but I know in my heart he did something. I know her death was not natural. There are too many holes.

No. Yeah, it sounds real fishy.

Yeah. I don't know why they never investigated. Turns out when the police came, they told them about this man. They shrugged it off and never did anything. That is from Anna.

Uh, see the injustice.

Yeah. So, the real horrors

So, sometimes are the people and I do think that Marco should murder their killers.

I'm all for it.

Go get some vengeance.

Yeah. I'll do that. I'll be I'll be a little uh

murderous ghost.

49:00

We'll be like Spider-Man. We'll do it together. Batman and Spider-Man. But, we're probably going to be more like the SpongeBob What is it? Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. Barnacle Boy. What are Yeah, what are our superhero paranormal name?
