find yourself a lover who will bury a body with you anoria is on her deathbed she is an old lady and she is taking her final breath and she grabs the colar of the nearby nurse and she says I killed him his body is in the wall she dies and see No One Believes her no no but yes yes keep her Innocent but also I love a deathbed confession I know so you would think maybe the story ends there but it does not because bones hidden in a wall can only stay hidden so long yeah
1:00
very spooky hello how do who this is two girls my ghost two girls one ghost and we are your ghostesses that is Karen hello and I am Sabrina and it's so nice
Valentine's Day and Ouija Boards
to be back in person with you I know we were we sickly we're still a little sick we're on the tail end of it you separated look at you dressed up today thanks I haven't showered in like two days well you look great but I just added makeup onto the makeup that was from yesterday well you look great so you put on a sweater you put jeans yeah cuz the jeans I had worn and so they're stretched out there's there's reason behind it it's not it's not completely fresh but it's here method to the madness yeah and two years ago I would have been horrified to be feel so dirty but now I just have to do what I have to do yeah you're a mother now I am mother and we are podcasters and we have ghost stories to share with you today happy goutine day spooky arguably Valentine's Day is one of the big ghostly holidays because we did learned
2:00
a few years ago that Ouija boards were created as a date night event something to do to ask about your future with your future lover to touch hands M so if anyone is sitting with a lover on Valentine's Day maybe uh goes against everything we've been saying but without a Ouija board yeah or maybe you're sitting on your lover because that's where they belong beneath you I don't know oh I thought I thought we're were going somewhere where like the Lover's dead and you're a ghost and you sit on the ghost yep sit on your lover and play a Ouija for there's your Valentine's Day I mean sit your lover arguably is very romantic yes if you think about it but maybe you have a dark heart like us over here and you would like to celebrate with ghost stories and that's what we're going to do yes because we're going to swap out the bubble baths for blood baths is there a lot of blood in this episode no there's not a ton okay but it is a love story of sorts oh my gosh so rare do we get these and honestly usually it's me telling it it's it's
3:00
it's not how you not how you're thinking of it okay so it's not like the Pink Palace no okay no it's a disturbing murder love story all right well this is making more sense now like Mary Shelly I want to wrap my lover's heart in Deli wrapping and stuff it in a drawer for all of the world to find later so I wanted to find a ghost story that was love adjacent but horrifying a horrifying Love Story okay okay was it hard to find was it hard to search something like this no because this is actually when I was in Savannah I found this story from our ghost tour Andre shout out to Andre from the creepy pub crawl and shout out to Andre's sister who listens yes who emailed us again Ellen I think that's your name Ellen Ellen has a whole Instagram with their crypted classroom theme yeah but when I was in Savannah we went to we took the ghost tour the original creepy crawl haunted pub tour highly recommend very
4:00
theatrical but while we were on the ghost tour there were a couple places that I wrote down and this is one of the ones that I texted myself oh I have to do an episode of and it happened to be falling upon or around Valentine's Day and it's perfect it's so appropriate I also love ghost tours for that reason because I feel like sometimes when you go to a ghost tour you get kind of like basic like small versions of every story but often times you get details and things that just aren't public it's somehow kept within the like ghost tour community in these certain towns so you truly do get new information every time you go on a ghost tour 100% because a lot of the details Andre had told us on the ghost tour are actually not available on the interwebs so so you to remember yeah recall and we'll see if I recalled correctly actually Andre I don't know if Andre listens I know Ellen does but Andre should listen to this one episode at least give us some footnotes yeah yeah okay let's make this disgusting and vile holiday a lot more pleasant shant we shant we shall we not
5:00
we is that what is that what shant shant means shant is shant no shant is not a word don't ask me shall we not that's a combination of three words I can't even keep up with what you're saying you're like looking at me but no one's home
The Foley House Inn: A Haunted History
yeah no one's home and your brain is going faster than your mouth I think my brain is going faster than my mouth right now too and mine is going significantly slower all of my laughs lately are coughs so I apologize I'll try not to laugh I'll be very serious okay so we're going to begin with a very maob and dark little nursery rhyme by a horror author named Vanessa K Eckles there once was a house with a secret inside that a woman thought best to hide she had a life to live and children to raise and self-defense was rare in those days so she made a grave behind the wall and
6:00
crafted a story to tell all and kept her secret lips tightly sewn until one day someone uncovered his bones how Practical Magic and this is the story of the foly house in it's a bed and breakfast or a dead and breakfast with history that will keep you up at night the Foley house in is located at 14 West hle Street in Savannah Georgia and it was built in 1896 and was the first bed and breakfast in the city we're going to go back to back it up before it was a bed dead and breakfast bed and breakfast whatever Savannah has so much history and some claim it is even a city of burials like yeah it's basically like the most haunted City yes in America so when you were on the tour did you stop in front of this Inn like where you you had visuals yes I have a photo from that night I zoomed in to try to see if I caught anything in the windows and I didn't but we're talking Wars slavery
7:00
Bloodshed fires yellow fever and even secret underground burial grounds so Savannah originally belonged to the yakra Indians and in 1733 the chief granted permission to the 120 British settlers that were led by General James oglethorp they were granted to stay to settle and we know how it goes this is just one of those things where like I need a historian also to to give me information here because I feel like I don't believe any of the stories that say that there was ever like granted permission permission or anything like that I'm like well what what was threatened in response to lives right well because history is written by white men for the most part right and I don't trust him me neither all that being said the British did settle and Savannah became home to many cotton and rice plantations and was also one of the only towns standing after General Sherman's March to the Sea during the Civil War which if you're a history buff uh I am
8:00
not but I like history General Sherman marched through Georgia and many other places and basically burnt all of the Cities down jeez but when he got to Savannah he was like wow this city is so beautiful I can't burn it to the ground so instead because he saw the Spanish moss hanging from the old and it was very beautiful and he was like instead of burning it down I'm going to give this entire city as a gift to Abra Lincoln for Christmas what yeah Merry Christmas oh to be a wow that's true romance it is yes this is a bromance hey we're a bromance too yeah but imagine loving your friend so much that you're like I'm going to gift you an entire city that's basically not to be gifted but I'm going to give it to you anyway yeah well next time I conquer a whole city I'll I'll gift it to you to Saina the Conqueror can I direct you in the general location or I just get what I get you get what you get okay yeah but
9:00
where do you want maybe like a island in Maine okay that would probably be pretty easy to conquer I think I could probably purchase one now MH it'd be a speck of an island and I probably wouldn't be able to build anything on it no but I could row my boat out row row row your boat the boat that I don't have so also maybe a boat comes to the island okay you're asking for a lot now K I know you gave me coffee that's enough I'll accept it thank you and a cookie I gave you a cookie too so that's a very very basic understanding of the history but there is legend that says that Savannah is basically one giant cemetery and I do think that's true of like the entire planet it's supposed to be especially true of Savannah and there are tons of unmarked burial sites and buildings that are built on top of them and I just wanted to find a couple of instances that that is true in Savannah and there is a pirates house that was built on top of sacred Indian burial ground it's called the Pirates house today but it is now or used to be like the old sailor bar that's a lot of weird
10:00
energy in one place yeah because the Pirates down in that area we know we've covered a few of them we have dirty little bastards your favorite Andrew what's up I know I'm married but rules do not apply to Ghosts no Andrew is an a-hole but handsome and your Hol pass maybe how many paranormal Hol passes do you think you have should we call him Brian Brian I don't I don't think I have any where does Bigfoot fall though well Bigfoot would have me I guess I don't even consider cuz I'm like would he even want me of course he would look at you you're wearing one day old clothing it's going to be that's true I'm on my way to stinky two girls one ghost on our way to stinky that's our new tagline there were multiple outbreaks of yellow fever in Savannah and during that time there were just so many deaths that they weren't able to bury them properly and so there would be these large unmarked Graves where people would dump bodies and the yellow fever outbreak were so bad that
11:00
there were Legends of zombies and people were so afraid of these people who had died from the diseases coming to and crawling out of their graves wow you know what's interesting too is I feel like in the a few years ago I might have never really connected with this time and like people yeah dying of the plague and yellow fever and TB and all of these things but now that we've lived through a pandemic the pandemic I actually like understand the anxiety of all people but I feel like for them it's it's even worse because like at least we knew that there was medicine and like something coming yeah but for them well also think about our hospitals and funeral services were overrun yeah and there were bodies in ice trucks but think back in the 1800s some the funeral homes they were
The Dark Secret of Honoria Foley
just stacking them up in the backyard right it was horri with modern technology and capabilities to deal with death think back to before there were free before there was Ice they were just
12:00
tons of bodies so yeah the zombies rising from the dead was a legend after the yellow fever and people were claiming that there were numbers of dead crawling from their graves screaming in pain from their painful deaths wow so those are just a few of the stories surrounding burial grounds in Savannah and also something that I think we should bring back uh a lot of people would bury their loved ones on their property in unmarked Graves I like that yes I like being marked but yeah I love being buried on your property that's so cool or even if it's unmarked but it's just like a general area like a little fencon section or like oh maybe some Hedges and rose bushes and it's just like everything in the center is just the the flam plot there's actually a and I didn't write this all down so I might be getting it wrong but where the Pirates house now stands apparently the city tried to turn that land into this like beautiful garden but keep in mind it was a sacred yakra Indian burial ground and apparently nothing would grow
13:00
except for one peach tree in that Garden I wonder if they started to plant native plants that were used by the indigenous tribe if those things would grow interesting but basically they were like well nothing's growing here except for this one peach tree bar wonder that might be part of like Legend because Georgia is the peach state oh yeah yeah yeah I also wonder is it like legal to have a family Cemetery in your backyard do you have to clear that with someone someone let us know because I would like to start doing that yeah I'm going to start Burying my own body parts I'm going to make myself I'm going I'm on my way you're going to saw on my way to stinky and on my way to just a toe every couple years you're going to have some trouble walking around I it'll be a challenge it'll be interesting there's this uh I think it's in Alaska but there's this drink called like dead man's toe and it's literally dead people's toes and you take a shot and the toe is in the shot no yeah can't be that can't be true it's real and
14:00
they're like preserved petrified Toes that people act you don't drink the toe but like the toe is in the drink and this is how we enter another pandemic I think yeah this is no don't do that people oh I was going to say it's okay to bury your pets and backyards without permission so why not humans I don't know because humans have all these rules for their humans stupid so that's some history and now we come back to the Foley house in it is in chipa square or right around which is the same square from Forest Gump where Forest Gump eats a box of chocol chocolates mhm it's also the square where General ogal thorp's statue is just the name ogal Thorp it's really fun to say it is ogal Thorp ogal Thorp so the Foley House Inn was constructed by anoria Foley in 1896 and it was built at top the ashes of a building that had burnt down in 1889 there was like a big fire that burnt down a bunch of buildings and anoria had just recently become widowed after saying goodbye to her late husband
15:00
Owen fley she decided to invest the money she inherited from him into a business and anoria and Owen had previously owned one of the first of its kind boarding homes in Savannah and so anoria was like I know how to take care of people I know how to have strangers in my home why don't I make it a business and start a bed and breakfast yeah that makes a lot of sense and it was the first bed and breakfast in Savannah Georgia well and then it gives this woman a to make money more money yeah which is a beautiful thing yes she decided to build the Foley house in and upon opening she had a lot of success at the bed and breakfast people were staying a lot of people from all over the world a lot of successful businessmen and anoria was a beautiful successful business woman she was single so what wasn't to love she did catch the eye of quite a few men but anoria was like I have no interest and this is where our love story begins anoria loved herself good
16:00
this is exactly what this is where I would like the story to be yes self of you I think you all actually really quite enjoy the story there was one guest in particular he was a successful businessman who was visiting in town who upon checking in and being greeted by anoria was smitten in love a struck by anor's Beauty wow he had booked a room at the inn and he started pursue anoria first he asked her out and Oria said no but this businessman did not understand the word no because he was an idiot yeah this is exactly what I was concerned about when he said he had a crush on her and then booked a stay I was like oh god well he booked a stay and then had a crush on her okay okay yeah but still that's but then he extended his stay because he had a crush on her and he would linger and he would stalk her and sit in the entryway while she was working and continue to pursue her and continue to ask her out and she would to say no no no he still did not get the
17:00
message and not liking being told no this man decided to take matters into his own hands one evening anoria was sleeping in her bedroom door locked when all of a sudden she woke up to a man standing above her trying to have his way with her so what did anoria do she grabbed the nearest object a Candlestick and whack whack whack until the man fell to the ground keep waging and she was obviously shocked and like startled had no idea what was going on fumbles to get some light source and sees that she had the Intruder which was this man who had been pursuing her non-stop I give her a pass exactly but unfortunately self-defense during this time women killing men she knew that she was going to get in trouble and no one would believe her a trap door and he just so instead pull she called on a man and
18:00
here's where the story gets like a little bit unclear but what I like to say is a man that had a crush on her and she was like well I'm going to use this to my advantage some people say it was her lover some people say it was just a good friend I like to say this man also had a crush on her and was like my lady I will do whatever you want some people take advantage of their dates to help them move into a new location she's trying to bury a body absolutely so she calls up her buddy who happens to be a carpenter who's working on the Foley house in right now he sees the dead body and he also knows the story of this man pursuing her Non-Stop and he's like my love I will do anything for you I don't know why he has this accent but he does and the two of them in the middle of the night move this body and bury him in the walls I have so many questions because it's like what do you do to prepare him to be in the wall and prevent a smell like did this Carpenter was he suddenly a Mason and he
19:00
just like built this little brick Shute in the wall to kind of close him in did they have to chop him up he was not chopped up I think they just truly put him in the wall put him in the wall and that was that basically no one really asked questions actually people did ask questions but this businessman when he was reported missing people assumed that someone had maybe killed him for his money and they never found his body nothing wow life went on anoria and her lover as I like to call him kept their secret and told no one of it until 1914 and anoria is on her deathbed she is an old lady and she is taking her final breaths and she grabs the colar of the nearby nurse I don't know I'm dramatizing this and she says I killed him his body is in the wall she dies and see No One Believes her no no well but yes yes keep her Innocent but also I
20:00
love a deathbed confession I know so she took her secret basically to the Grave because no one believed her everyone thought she was a dying old lady and she took her last breath on September 6th
The Discovery of Bones and Wally's Spirit
1914 and joined her beloved husband Owen Foley and was buried in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah and I did find her funeral register little record whoa there's a photo also I just love how people used to scribe like handwriting was beautiful it's so pretty I think she was 83 years old I feel like and I I do not know the statistics but I feel like half the time I hear when someone passed they were 83 so is 83 just like the normal expiration clocking that number cuz that's when you're going to die I hope you thought it was going to make it a little longer who knows maybe I go skydiving at 83 that's how I will die I know I actually fully support that yeah that's a good way to go Splat so you would
21:00
think maybe the story ends there but it does not because bones hidden in a wall can only stay hidden so long I have questions about the flesh like the smell the rotting I guess it's like the 1800s people aren't the most hygienic I guess you could write it all I don't also Savannah's so hot I know and moist the humidity okay well you know I do not know I was not there anoria dies in 1914 and presumably this man had been murdered or killed rightfully so justifiably so killed and hidden in the walls in the late 1800s or early 1900s so fast forward to 1987 and the Foley House Inn was undergoing some construction it was then that a construction marer took a sledgehammer to the wall and discovered skeletal remains I wonder if people who are in construction if this thought ever crosses their mind like does the normal in Savannah yeah but like we think this
22:00
stuff but does the normal person think will I uncover bones or are they just like yep my job is to hammer walk down some walls I don't know wow what a discovery I hope that person this is maybe up of me to say I hope they enjoyed getting to experience that it does feel like you're un it's almost like adjacent to an archaeologist where you're uncovering and a mystery a murder mystery yeah seriously and because it's distant enough in time it doesn't feel as well and also he wasn't the best dude so no exactly so the bones were discovered and there was no way to really verify who the bones belong to but they were able to verify the timeline of which the body had been killed and aligned with the story and that's when people started to talk they're like well maybe that deathbed confession wasn't just the Looney thoughts of a Dying woman but maybe this is true and maybe something really did happen there's also so debate that perhaps this story was created after the
23:00
bones were found either way someone hid bones in a wall and someone knew something and this is the story that has been told and with the discovery of these bones came something else something other worldly it uned a spirit because immediately after the discovery of the bones staff and visitors of the Foley house in began to experience some odd and otherworldly activity strange sounds footsteps throughout the bed and breakfast when no one was out and about in the Halls lights turning on and off and then people began to see a man wearing a top hat wandering the gardens wandering the bed and breakfast and he was not of the times he was of the past well this would make sense that it would be him too because if he was kind of on the cusp of the Edwardian Victorian era top hat is totally in fashion and people began to call him Wall-E because he was discovered in the walls no there's one kind of well-known story that's
24:00
documented on the Foley house in website from 2008 when a woman named Jerry was staying at the in and she had no prior knowledge of the Inn's haunted history or Mysteries um or the discovery of the bones and even now when you try to search the discovery of the bones cuz you would imagine that was a big news story MH you really can't find anything all you find is the website for the hotel and like their description of the haunted history but I'm sure if you are local or if you have access to like newspaper archives you probably would be able to find the newspaper article from discovering the bodies so if you know where that is please send it to us cuz I would love to see that anyway it's 2008 she has no knowledge of this haunting or anything and she's there for work she comes back to the hotel after a late night meeting and she's going up stairs to her room when a man aggressively pushes past her and she's like excuse me she's probably so fed up yeah and she was like how freaking rude so she turns
25:00
to look at this man who's still walking past her and he has a top hat and then she has this like chill when she realizes this man is unsetting pale and his eyes are like deeply sunken in and she's about to say something cuz she's still like frustrated this man bumped into her and didn't apologize when he reaches the wall and vanishes oh my God so obviously she's like shaken shooketh and she goes to the front desk and she's like hey so this just happened to me am I losing my mind and the front desk says oh we see you've met Wall-E and apparently the wall that he disappeared into was the very same wall that they had discovered his bones oh wow now I picture him almost like a vampire like when he goes to sleep he just goes back into his little into his wall into his wall Very he's comfortable yeah well it's also because the Foley house in is two adorning tow houses so it started as one and then they expanded into the house that's right next door so it looks like two different buildings but then
26:00
they connected them so I think the wall of which his bones are in are kind of between the two oh I also appreciate and I feel like Savannah is the perfect place for this to happen but I wish it were true for everywhere I appreciate creating a space where it's just easy for someone who experiences something to immediately go to the front desk or to someone else and say I just saw something that feels unbelievable let me tell you about it or similar to the Stanley Hotel in Colorado where at the front desk there's a book where you can write all of your haunting experiences and if you're like us who really want to hear other people's haunting experiences you can go to the front desk and read from the book I wish every single establishment had that because I feel like the more that people experience and open themselves up maybe it's almost like a Santa Claus like the more people believe in the magic of Christmas the more powerful Santa is like maybe the more places and more open everyone is and thinking about it the closer we'll be to Breaking the veil and we all get to to chill together do we want to break
27:00
the veil I don't know I don't know what's on the other side that's true go skydiving at 83 to find out you can use a Ouija board at age 84 and I'll tell you how it goes perfect that is kind of how Wall-E presents himself he's doing his own thing apparently he's a little bit angry which I kind of get but also you deserved it if you were the man in this Legend you can stay at the Foley House Bed and Breakfast and be transported through time the bed and breakfast is beautifully decorated and there are some photos in the YouTube video that show it is like very of the era it's almost like transporting back through time oh my God beautiful wow and you might get to see Wall-E this ghost man or perhaps you will get to see my favorite ghost who has zero explanation but I love her so much she's a little ghost girl who apparently when there's silence she just does an earth shattering scream top of her lungs oh my God I love for two what an opportunist yeah she's
28:00
hilarious I love her they don't know who she is but she's a beloved member of the fley House in bed and breakfast and I love that she's just like it feels awkward I should do something what's the thing I know how to do right fill it fill the silence listen take a note from this ghost girl if you're ever in a social setting and people go quiet just scream you are sure to create a buzz and you'll be remembered forever in this want to get your crush's attention this Valentine's Day SC during an awkward silence so of course I was like I am so curious if there's more because kind of every website online has the same story and I was like well if it's haunted there's probably people who have stayed here who have ghost stories right yes so I took to Trip Advisor and redit and I found a couple of cool exciting things this first story was submitted by someone who stayed at the folon I think it was 18 years ago but this is what they wrote we stayed at the Foley House Bed and Breakfast and the first three nights were in room 204 it had a lovely
29:00
private balcony which looked down at the bench that Forest Gump sat on in the movie absolutely Picture Perfect accommodations due to a scheduling conflict which they told us about when we made the reservations we had to move next door to room 203 for the last two nights of our stay an equally lovely room with a balcony that looked down on the interior Courtyard we found out upon checkout of this room that it was the original bedroom of Miss bully when it was a private residence the room where the murder happened they did not write that I just added that in things we noticed about this room was that there was a painting of Mrs Foley hanging on the wall that was against the hallway no matter where you stood in the room her eyes in the painting were looking directly at you w and the really strange thing was that my hairbrush kept appearing on the bed many times during our two-day stay in the room H I kept it in my shaving bag which was in a dresser drawer except in the mornings when I was getting ready for the day and it kept reappearing on the bed at least on five different occasions which makes me curious was this her
30:00
trying to use the brush or was this kind of like a hint like I think you should spend more time brushing your hair
Ghost Stories from Guests
grooming we thought maybe the maid was playing a little game with us so after the fourth occasion I hid the brush inside of my shoes in my suitcase and I zipped it shut I then took one of my wife's blonde hairs from her brush and placed it across the seam of the zipper held down by a very light trace of vaseline as a tamper proof check which I love this is so intense I so appreciate this we came back late that afternoon and there the brush was back on the bed and the hair on my zipper of my suitcase was still intact what yeah okay this this is actually really good insight into the Paranormal moving things because it seems like things can dematerialize and then rematerialize open the suitcase necessarily a physical like picking up and moving right you may never see something float it just pops into existence right which makes you question a lot of our reality but hey it happened
31:00
when we were leaving Savannah we picked up some books at the tour Center on haunted Savannah and sure enough there was a chapter on the Foley house and the body that was found in the walls during renovation years ago would we stay there again in a heartbeat it's a really beautiful and Charming bed and breakfast in a great location so that's one experience written on a Trip Advisor and then there was another one written in July of 2021 JM rushing 23 wrote that while staying at the Inn the staff would share their ghost story so if they asked them which I love so good and as soon as they turned the lights off in their bedroom they heard a number of bangs and clashes as if someone fell off their bed and they were like that felt paranormal and I'm grateful that that was all we experienced yeah and then one year ago Chrissy K posted a photo on Reddit and I'm excited about this one Reddit is where you go when you have a really intense story to share like it's just filled with the worst of the worst and the best of the best right crei of the worst is the best yes so she was on a ghost walk and captured a photo of the Foley house in that looked to be a woman in the window of a room she then emailed
32:00
the hotel being like hey can you help me debunk this photo so first I'll show you the photo of the room this is a photo from the outside and then in the window it looks like there's a woman in the window oh yeah but it's almost like she's not right up against the window it's almost like she's moving a little bit deeper in the room it also looks like a cow's face or a horse it's something weird yeah so anyway so she sees this she looks back at her photos afterwards and sees this and it was like did I catch a picture of a ghost so to be sure she emails the hotel and is like hey is there any way to debunk this photo taken they respond saying hi that is room 401 that room has been closed for several weeks while we do some construction it is locked for everyone's safety and I am the only one who has the key but that is not me in the window weird oh my God it could just be paria paria paria parolia which is like where our eyes see shape of hum yeah we try to
33:00
create because on Reddit people were like it looks like it's just a couple of things stacked up and then covered but it's weird because you can see the curtains and it's almost on the front it's like closer to the window than the curtains are so I don't know but let us know what you think when you look at that photo and that is the story of the Foley house in bed and breakfast wow it's true romance story for Valentine's Day find yourself a lover who will bury a body with you I did that's true a bromance true or it doesn't have be a lover it could be a bromance love it can be a ghoul love I do appreciate how many people in our lives well should I appreciate this I feel like I've been told a lot that I'm I'm the the phone call when if that were to happen you just wouldn't panic and you would know what to do I would finish the job before I actually think about the consequences the consequences yeah which is probably why people would call me yeah exactly you're a good person and then 83 I fling myself out of an airplane and I say I've buried 12
34:00
bodies there you go death bed confession MH wow oh my gosh okay wait I kind of want to stay here I would absolutely stay there and I feel like people who stay here for kind of like the history without knowing the murder part I feel like I would request or be excited to be in the room of the the like original bed breakfast owner not knowing that you're also choosing a murder room I'm sure quite a few people are probably like oh my God how great we get to stay with a woman where she the own or whatever having no clue it's where she murdered a deserving her attack yeah her attacker her yes where she survived her assault yes she is a Survivor mhm I mean I'm curious how many people have done paranormal investigations and stuff in that room because it seems like the hotel is open to it well when we go to Savannah we should book A book 203 and see if we can talk use ghost tube this is one of the things where listen here's my call action to everyone it is so clear that we can know more about the
35:00
Paranormal and people out there just aren't doing it wherever you go use ghost tube ask questions and come up with some type of theory and put it on the internet so that everyone knows so we know so we know we want self want more selfish it's for us yeah that's really cool though and I I mean I feel for this woman I feel like it must have been really scary for her too to just be like single woman living in a place that has people coming and going constantly because your safety is you know at risk that's why you have many a lovers who will help you cover up bodies that's true should you need yeah you have your little Rolodex and you spin it and say who's the best to help me with this one and a carpenter is the best because Carpenter is the best he knows how to skill yes he's good with his hands yep that's also another reason she had him on her Rolodex yeah yeah yeah there are also a lot of places in
36:00
Savannah that I want to do I mean sa all of Savannah is haunted right there's so many ghost stories but this is one that I was like I need to share with you yeah after the ghost tour yeah this one's really cool I am curious what's the guy's name the ghost tour guide Andre Andre if he does listen to this I'm curious if he knows any more details so he was the one who said the thing about the carpenter being her lover because online it doesn't say that so I got that from Andre which is that factual is it Insider information is it elaboration to make the story more juicy either way I like it we'll take it we accept it okay so not knowing anything about the story that you chose I just chose one from Savannah an email from a listener but I feel like it does end up working because it's called there's murder in it got groped by a ghosty in Savannah Georgia unfortunately you can't murder already dead ghost high ghostesses with the mostes for a
37:00
minute my brain was like did I just add extra s's into that word but no I did I really saw your glitch I felt it the Panic of like where am I yeah okay my name is Emily she her and you can use my actual name I live in Pennsylvania and I work in Gettysburg so I usually end up being spooked while I'm sitting at my desk listening to your podcast and getting work done what do you do in Gettysburg that's so cool so curious LOL well so thankful that I found your podcast and the community that makes me feel validated and scene with my interest in my experiences I'm kind of listening to them backwards staying up to date as they come out and then listening to the next one after that I'm kind of all over the place but that's what you get when you're an undiagnosed ADHD side note there is tax paid at the end of the email with a photo of my 27b gray cat Rocky which I'm going to give I'm going to give the CAT tax now stop it that that is a huge cat oh my God I want to snuggle that belly so bad it's a pillow that cat barely has a head it is all a
38:00
body d That's amazing this cat looks like I did when I was pregnant I thought I was gonna laugh but you made me laugh because it was pretty accurate No little head on a huge body okay so I've had a few experiences throughout my life and I've always invalidated them on my own either by talking to family and thinking oh I was just a little kid I was probably just seeing things well wasn't I wrong yep I grew up in a house that was built during the Civil War so when I was a kid I definitely think some of those things that I saw were not just my imagination agreed when I decided to write to you it was after I saw your post on Instagram asking about any good tours in Savannah Georgia I took a bachelorette trip to Savannah back in 2022 and we decided to do a haunted bar crawl it was so interesting and the girl who walked with us on the tour was so cool and I felt so bad because we were really drunk and we couldn't really handle ourselves I mean it's a pub crawl yeah you're supposed to be drunk I feel like a lot of people pregame their haunted for sure bar
39:00
crawls anyway we would walk somewhere we would stop at a bar we would hear a few stories about what was happening there grab a drink or two or a round of shots any of the above and keep walking mhm one of the bars that we stopped at was facing the water and it had these beautiful big windows I remember the general outline of how the story went but unfortunately I don't remember names apparently there was this old drunk that was a regular at the bar and he was known for pulling a few ponytails and grabbing some booty when he saw a beautiful woman that man passed away and it is said that he haunts the bar specifically when women stand near the big window I've been grabbed before during a ghost tour in Gettysburg or they WR Gettysburg things yeah so I was sort of prepared for something like that to happen that night but nothing happened besides drinking and karaoke and we somehow ended up at our Airbnb in one piece the next day a Saturday we had a slow morning and afternoon getting brunch and nursing our hangovers we went out on the town that night again after a nice dinner and we went to the area of
40:00
town where the bars are and of course we're beining it for the bar that has the mechanical bull in Savannah to get to where the bars are you have to walk down some pretty steep Stone steps and I was walking down and as I'm walking I feel someone grab my shoulder in my hair and I screamed because a what the hell and B I thought there was a bug in my hair I have really curly hair especially in the summer and this tends to happen and one of the girls that was behind me was like like what you good and I was like I felt something grab me or something got in my hair but she didn't see anything near me or in my hair and then I looked to my right and we were right next to that same bar that we talked about last night interesting needless to say I was pretty spooked because I was just assaulted but also honestly a little relieved that it was a creepy older ghost man and not a bug you still got it yeah yeah ghosts want you love you too very much cannot wait to slay the world with you in the
A Ghostly Love Story
next life see you on the other side
41:00
Emily damn Emily okay I know so the stairs that Emily's talking about they are horrifying they truly are like the steepest stairs really and people like go and take pictures there and but like it's known for a lot of drunk happenings and fallings because it's that's how inconvenient that that's there to be grabbed on those stairs is the worst that's very scary that almost doesn't feel any set of stairs is scary but unless was a ghost trying to help her like maybe she was about to fall and she was grabbed and saved maybe although in front of the bar being grabbed in the same fashion that this but it s old ghost man T cvy old ghost doesn't grab hair he grabs booty it said he's grabbed a few ponytails which is aggressive like don't a ponytail so rude interesting I'm curious what bar that is let's go didn't say but we got to figure it out we'll just go everywhere in we just do the Haunted Bar Crawl yeah we can do that find our way yeah through I enjoyed it I would do it again yeah I still can't believe you've been to Savannah without me okay you forgave me I still you are
42:00
forgiven there's still so much to do with you yeah yeah and don't worry I I blacked out the whole time so I don't remember no I didn't but there's a lot that we did not do okay okay I have one more story that's not from Savannah Georgia but it is from a Savannah and it's kind of appropriate for Valentine's Day oh it's called a ghost fell in love with me these are my favorite stories oh wait have you finished reading our book for I haven't even started it okay I have one week for both of our books oh yeah neither I haven't done I haven't done our two girls from ghost book club and I have not done the one that we have with the brothers the brothers I cannot wait for you to read the brothers one because we're reading winterwood by Shaya Ken I think it's his her name here's the thing I don't know but I'll I'll read it you know that I always read it and finish it or am like on the last chapter as we get to yeah okay it's
43:00
called winterwood by Sha eraw it's so frustrating because I can't say anything about it but you're going to love it and you're going to know why you I love it so much once you're done reading it but I can't share because it ruins the whole thing wow okay I can't wait well now now I feel like I got to just start it today the love story tonight okay a ghost fell in love with me a dream I'm jealous I'm jealous already she's a jealous lover hey gals just started listening to your pod Rec ly getting into the podcast in general and I love it I thought I would share my story it's not really scary but it is a little spooky I had a ghost fall in love with me while I was in college yes that may sound like the plot of a TV show but this is true it started my sophomore year of school I was the only one who lived in my dorm suite and it was apartment style so there were four of us but the other gals spent most of their nights away so I was alone most of the time and I started seeing shadows and sensing a presence in my living room but I didn't think much of it and I even joked about maybe there being a ghost there I went away for the summer and then my junior year I came back and I
44:00
was in a completely different building but I still felt this presence there luckily for me I felt protected by this presence so I wasn't really scared my friend who's more in tune with Spirits in that whole side of the world also felt it and told me I was not crazy we ended up doing a tarot reading and found out a little bit more about this presence I live in the low country of South Carolina so there's a lot of history down there and we found out that his name was Billy and he was a soldier in the Civil War and he died died while he was at War how did you find this out through tarot cards I don't know we have questions yeah we do maybe it's I'm almost thinking of like litha when litha pulls tarot and it just kind of like opens her up too to just getting messages and maybe her friend is like that it's it's tarot and medium but you may be asking how do you know that he was in love with you well he would always get upset when I had guy friends over and he really made it known and I could feel his energy shift when they were there and when we talked to him my friend flat out asked if he liked me and if he was protective of me and he said yes immediately Billy wow Billy has
45:00
a crush I love this and I even kind of caught him on camera one time shut up also there's no photo attached so Savannah what the heck where's the photo when it was time for me to graduate we had a final goodbye session I thanked him for keeping me safe and keeping me comfortable for the last few years but I was ready to be on my own now and he could not follow me wherever I ended up and I haven't seen him since I would use him as a joke at first but then I realized that he was real and he was watching over me and I felt like we were friends and that may sound weird but I will never forget him I was skeptical about the whole ghost thing at first until I had a firsthand experience with it can't wait to listen to more of y'all's podcast I love it thanks Savannah savann you had a really like polite ghost Lover he never crossed the line no he was just like he respected your boundaries think you're really great Savannah and he just watched over you and it was almost like an older brother too because the way that he would get protective of Savanah when
46:00
other guys were there and it doesn't sound like he was aggressive towards them or like damaging things like he wasn't this volatile energy she could just feel the shift in his like he had his guard on yeah yeah I love him and especially Redeeming the the ghosts of the story a little bit of this episode Billy Billy I'm jealous the Civil War I'm going back to college how old was Billy too I'm featuring you know when people sift through antique stores and find like old photos of guys in their like military uniforms and a lot of them look super attractive right I'm picturing like one of those where you know Billy was a man Billy was a babe Billy bab babe the Billy bab baby bil baby Billy baby Billy into my arms I actually have something to show you oh okay I'm getting a portrait commissioned of you and Leia
47:00
yes oh my God that is so funny I've thought about getting you that for a gift is it going to be like the old kind of oil painting five yes so this is the rendering and I gave notes on it cuz I wanted certain things changed but this is the rendering oh my God that is so good isn't that amazing so what are what are you hoping for for like the final output of it I wanted a dress it's a little bit more Gothic era Edwardian mhm so more like this yeah and I wanted it to be green that makes sense you're really in your green era I am like green and yeah as we sit in like a basically all Green Room you are in your green chair and your green pants you have a green jacket that you walked in I did with wow I love that mhm I feel like that's another thing that we should bring back or that just like in general like huge oil paintings and like family portraits literally that's all I want I want above a fireplace and I want to pass down through my generations of
48:00
family that I don't have yet and worst case I give it to my nieces I like it cuz it's also it could confuse family like think about like three generations or like four generations down and they're like oh this is from my like great grandma Sabrina and they're like wait your great great great grandma Sabrina from the like 1800s and you're like no she was born in 1993 she was just creepy she was just creepy but like I she's buried in the backyard we can go see her say hello I just so I think we should bring back burying our loved ones in our backyards and we should also bring back oil paintings yes I agree did you ever watch the show lock and key no okay cuz that was it was written by wasn't it like Stephen King's son or something like that I don't remember I can't remember either I think it might have been Stephen King's son but it's a it's kind of like a ya show that I believe was on netlix right yeah and I watched it and I really liked it but one of the things that like the magical keys does is it takes you your astral self out of
49:00
your body and you can fly around the property and like basically be a ghost and so when they would use this key they would go and fly over to the Family Cemetery and chat and commune with their deceased relatives from like Generations ago I'm so sad I wish I wish I was that magical I know me too maybe we will be though we're we're quite young that's true we have time yeah we are nowhere near like creepy old Aunt no I mean I am creepy old Aunt old to like a two-year-old old to noomi but not old as an you know I'm feeling old I almost said we don't have any gray hairs and I was like well that's actually not true I have so many gray hairs mine haven't hit yet I'm hoping to get my grandma's jeans CU she didn't go gray until she was like in her well into her 70s I've been gray since I was 18 well you know what so is JLo yeah and so was my mom and she's beautiful gray hair is actually very cool would you ever consider full gray yeah but my hair's not like that yet so I I wouldn't I wouldn't rock that once
50:00
