Hey, howdy. Hi. What's going on? This is Two Girls, One Ghost. Two Girls, One Ghost. And we are your ghostesses, Karen and Sabrina. And today we are joined by some really cool, exciting guests, Rasha and Evet of So Supernatural, the podcast. We are obsessed with them. Uh the love that you will see us experience while recording this episode, I cried. I cry. They're just the best, nicest humans and they've just gone through so much and they're just so positive and they're so in tune with like the spirit world and just so empathetic and we love them. They deserve to be haunted by the best. Yes. And that is uh what we do in this episode is talk about some pretty positive hauntings. We did do a collab with them. So, we have an episode on the So Supernatural feed that also comes out today, June 13th, which is also Friday the 13th, which I think is amazing. And we talk about the demon of Brownsville

1:00

Road, which is a haunting scary tale. So, if you want something scary, go check out that episode. And then this episode is more of just a conversation about the paranormal, and we play a couple games. We lighten the mood after a terrifying tale on Soal, and we review some paranormal evidence in this episode. So enjoy. Check out both episodes and let us know what you think and tell us what you hear in these EVPs and what you see in the photos. Yeah. Very spooky.

welcome Yvette & Rasha of So Supernatural

Hi. Aloha. Aloha y'all. Hi. Bonjouro.

2:00

Hi. It's nice to see you guys again. Yes. It's always amazing to see you. We talked about a really spooky topic on your episode. So, we wanted to uh have a little bit more casual conversation and we have some games planned for you. Most importantly, want to get to the meat of it, which is one, do you two believe in the paranormal? 100%.

paranormal beliefs & experiences

Yes. I was going to say 100 million%. Okay, good. It'd be kind of hard to have a podcast called So Supernatural that you host and not believe in the paranormal. Right. For sure. Especially Rasha. Like you live in Hawaii. Well, born and raised. Do you live there now, Russia? No. No. I know people always think that. I think it's because I always, you know, use so many Hawaiian words, but I live with my wife and daughter just outside of Portland, Oregon. Okay. But born and raised, that's home. Always go back. So, we need to talk about what was that

3:00

like and cuz Hawaii has so many beliefs and like the night marchers and just different legends from Hawaii. Have you experienced any? What What are ones that like people don't really know about that you really believe in? So, I have always immersed myself in the Hawaiian culture. I'm not lucky enough to have Hawaiian blood, but I am lucky enough that I was born and raised there. But I always have embraced Hawaiian culture, including all of the lore and the legends, and I believe all of them. I'm so obsessed with Madame Pelle, the goddess of fire. I've always been obsessed with the Night Marchers, and I loved your episode on the Night Marchers. For me personally, I think so. Madame Pelle comes in different forms. Sometimes she comes as a beautiful Hawaiian goddess and other times she comes in the form of

4:00

what's called a tutu or tutu pelle in a grandma form. So she's normally wearing like this long white dress and has beautiful silver hair. And one of the last homes or the last home I lived in with my dad and stepmom cuz my sister and I and I have you know different dads and I was always 50/50. Half the time with my mom and Evette and half the time with my dad and stepmom. And in the last home we lived in with my dad and stepmom. My father was convinced that tutu pelle haunted our house. No way. Yeah. Why? Why did he Why did he think that? He said he would see her in the shower a lot. He told me this. I do have to preface this with he did a lot of pakaolo, but in the shower is a Yeah, I don't think he was doing pakaolo in the shower, but But he would always say that he would see her and I always kind of felt a protection from her there and I've been very open. I experienced a lot of abuse

5:00

from my dad um verbal, emotional, physical. And so in that home, none of that ever happened. And I truly think he was afraid of tutu pelle. Oh, that's amazing. It's so amazing. It's so amazing. And so a few times he would even see that there were little footprints. And there's this other mythical legend which I also believe in called Menah Hunes. And there are these small Hawaiian warriors or Hawaiian people who again, you know, no one has ever physically seen in modern day times, but most of Hawaiians or what we're considered as kama means we come from the land. Even though we are not kakamolei, we don't have that running through our blood. Yes. Yeah. My dad would see all these little menune footprints in one of the bedrooms. So, he was convinced that Tutu Pelle was there and the menune were there. So, I was always protected. That's my long-

6:00

winded answer. I'll let my sister talk about anything she's experienced as well. Wow. Rasha was born in Hawaii and I came to Hawaii. Mom brought me to Hawaii, I should say, when I was for the first time to meet her real family. I was 5 years old and mom fell in love like right away with the land, with the energy, with the aa of Hawaii. How can you not? Exactly. It's so special. You know, there are those people that come and either love it or those that it's just too slow for them and they don't like it. But those of us that go and and feel that energy, it's like you never want to leave. So for me growing up in Hawaii when we finally came there to live I was probably 8 n years old so and I had come from San Diego so you know I had Disneyland I had SeaWorld so I was kind of like okay there's just the beach like what am I going to do you know but obviously as you get older you start to

7:00

understand the history and the the deepness of this land and the people And every time like I would I would leave and go away and you know travel all around the world, I would always gravitate back home to Hawaii because it is so special and so deep. And I even got married there. I got married on the Northshore and go home every single year. I have never experienced seen Pelle or the Night Marchers. Even though, you know, when I was younger and growing up, we would go into these cemeteries and, you know, drink and smoke and wait for the night marchers, which which never showed up. Yeah. A few times in my life, Russia, a few times. Something new I learned about my You could not, but I could. I also love that that's like the equivalent of going to the cemetery and playing with you're using a Ouija board, but yours was like going to a cemetery

8:00

waiting for the night marchers. I know. I know. And then we all freaked out and left. I feel like on the rating the stupidity of teenagers. I feel like that is probably the highest because the night margers like you guys were really brave pushing the opposite of Yeah. Or the opposite or high. Oh my goodness. What would you have done if you had actually encountered the Night Marchers? I mean, I probably would have passed out, you know? I just I don't know. I have no idea. I never went looking for the Night Marchers. When you're a teenager, you're fearless, right? You just think, "Oh, whatever. Whatever's going to happen is going to happen." But I absolutely love Ple. I mean, if you could see in my office and both Russia and I have this beautiful picture that is framed of her um that is right above our head, but there's so many legends, you know, that ground the Hawaiians and the Hawaiian Islands, and it's it's a unique and special place. It really is. Okay. Well, what other

9:00

paranormal experiences have you two had? And have you ever had a shared paranormal experience? M I think we want to have a shared paranormal experience. Should we all have one together right now? Everyone close your eyes. We'll hold hands. We've tinkered with it before though, Evette. I mean, we have to tell the story. So, the one time that we went together to, we call it the Franklin House, but it's known as um the Saudon house where allegedly Elizabeth Short, also known as the Black Dalia, was murdered. And that home was also the home to our great-grandfather, George Hodell. But when we did our first podcast, Root of Evil, we did an episode that ended up on the cutting room floor. And that was the first time I bet and I had gone to that home together. We had been separately with our mom. I had been there many, many times before with my mom. And the

10:00

energy in that house is like none other. Yeah. Especially in the basement. And I've had a couple experiences where we were all down there with my mom, my two uncles. Our mom. Our mom. Excuse me. I always say our mom. And the woman that was living there at the time, you know, was giving us a little tour and we all went down in the basement and I literally started to have a panic attack. Never had a panic attack in my life, but I told my mom, I said, "Mom, there's something there's something not right here." And my mom started, I swear to God, she started praying like in a different type of language, like in some type of tongue. I have never heard it before like blessing us or something. And we stayed for like a few minutes and we went back upstairs and got out of there. But I never wanted to go back in that house again until we were doing Rude of Evil and Rasha was

11:00

like, "Come on, just do it. Just go in." And I was like, "Oh my god, I don't want to." But I had my anchor. I had my best friend Melissa who was actually in LA at the time and she is of Hawaiian descent and she has just this strong powerful energy and I felt safe actually to go in knowing that she was there and then Rasha you can tell the rest of the story. So in Hawaii we have something called like a sitting ghost. So, I don't know if you have ever heard of that, but it's normally it happens when you're sleeping and you can feel someone or something on your chest. There's just this deep heavy energy. Oh, yeah. Kind of like the old hag or something like that. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. But we feel this a lot of times in really scary situations. And I felt that as soon as I entered the home and then we were, you know, going all around and we were being interviewed by Zach Levit who was our

12:00

director and producer and writer on Root of Evil. And I was actually okay at the time. I was fine. You were okay. But I had that heaviness of the sitting ghost on my chest and so I had a really hard time even speaking. Yeah, I bet. You were fine because the the energy was all going to Russia. Right. Right. This is true. But then it shifted when we got to the basement and as soon as I walked in, if I remember correctly, she started crying. And the kind of tears where you don't hear anything, you just see it. Yeah. Yeah. And I held her hand and the sitting ghost left me and I was there to calm her down. And I don't think we lasted in there very long, did we? No, we didn't. No, because Zach saw exactly how I was feeling and we we left and went back upstairs. And thank God, you know, Melissa was up there and oh my god, but it's just, you know, you know, when there is that evil presence of energy in a space that you can't explain

13:00

it, but you just know how how evil it is. And yeah, I have no I have no desire to go back. So Rasha, don't ask me again. I mean, I feel like you guys did a lot of digging up old wounds and especially related to that case and how it tied to your family that I don't blame you. Which actually, can you for people who are listening and who may not have heard Root of Evil, which K and I both loved. We were listening to it like when you guys were putting it. Yeah. A thank you. We're OG listener. We are. Will you just give some context and and share with our listeners how you're connected to the Elizabeth Short case? So, it all started with our mom. Our mom was born in 1951 under mysterious circumstances. She was born in San Francisco, California, and then she was given up for adoption to an African-American family because her birth certificate

14:00

said that her father was It didn't say African-American at the time cuz it was 1951. Said black, said Negro. Negro. Yeah. Yeah. I feel weird saying that, but Yeah. Yeah. But it that's exactly what it said on the birth certificate. And our biological grandmother was only 15 when she gave birth to her. But mom was given away and was raised in Reno, Nevada. And her whole life she was told that she was adopted and that she was biracial. And so to make a long story short, there's not it's not possible. I know. It's going to still be really long. I'm so sorry. And Evette can jump in anytime. From the time I I'll just say from the time she was 8 years old, she knew that she had a story to tell because obviously she was this little white child, you know, with blue vibrant eyes who was living with a black family. It just didn't quite seem right. And she was having uh issues on both side, you

15:00

know, hatred, I should say, racism on both ends of the spectrum. She didn't fit in because she was white, you know, and she didn't fit in because she was black. But mom had this incredible sense of knowing that there was something bigger to this picture than she could even possibly imagine. And she started searching for her real mother. And she eventually found her when she was probably 21. And that's or 20. Yeah, 21 is when she found her around 21 22. and then ended up going to Hawaii when she was 25, 24, 25, 26. We flew to Hawaii and that's where she met her real mother, Tamar Hodell. And that's when Tamar told her the whole story that she had lied, you know, and said that her father was negro, but in fact he was not. he was some Italian playboy who took advantage of her and that her

Fauna Hodel's beliefs and visits from beyond

16:00

grandfather was the prime suspect in the Black Dalia murder. So mom's world was completely shattered in that instance. Right. Her whole life she grew up believing something to realize is not true. Yeah. Yeah. And then you know she knew like I said she knew that she had a story to tell. So for many many years like she just pounded the pavement you know trying to get someone to buy this story. It was called Pretty Hadtie's Baby starring you know Alfie Woodter and Tess Harper and that never took off and then she finally met the one the only Patty Jenkins Patty Jenkins and that's how I am the night came to be. But I do have to say a part that I bet always leaves out because I know she always felt uncomfortable saying it is that day that she met Tamar on the beach on the

17:00

island of Aahu in Hawaii. Tamar, her biological mother, told our mom that there was incest as well. So it could have been an Italian playboy as her father or it could have also been her grandfather. So was there was that piece in my whole life I always believed that George Odell was mom's biological father and biological grandfather but Evette you never did right yeah and I absolutely did not believe it I mean obviously you don't want to believe it and mom after that you know she never put any energy on trying to find her biological father um for good reasons I'm sure she was you know deathly afraid of what she might find out. But in my heart of hearts, just knowing my mom's spirit so well, I just I couldn't phantom that could be true, you know, um until, you know, she was just about to

18:00

pass away and she did say that, you know, she believed that George was her father. And that just like nearly like two days before she died, she said that. Yeah. Crushed my soul. Um, yeah. But years later, we found out that he definitely was not her biological father. And yeah, thank you, 23 and me. And I could just hear the the heavens opening up. There we go. That's good. Yeah. And of course, it was devastating when we lost our mom. We lost her. She was very young. She was diagnosed at the age of 65 with breast cancer. And we moved her from Honolulu to just a couple blocks away from me and my wife. any vet was flying in every few weeks and we got our mom, well, we thought we got her through breast cancer over a year and a half, but unfortunately it metastasized. And 11 days before she died, she signed that deal with Patty Jenkins and her

19:00

husband Sam Sheridan, who was the showrunner, and worked with mom for the whole year that she was sick with breast cancer on the pilot of I am the night. Wow. And we were on set just 6 weeks after mom died with Patty and Chris Pine and Sam Sheridan and India Eley. And fast forward to a, you know, few months into filming because we were there majority of of the filming. We were very fortunate to be invited and to be a part of that experience. Mhm. They're like, "Hey girls, we know your mom left and of cassette tapes that she recorded from the time she was a young woman. You know, do you think you could do a companion podcast to go with I Am the Night?" And we're like like, "What's a podcast?" We're like, "Sure." Yeah. Yeah. What is a podcast? And they brought in Zack Levit from then Cadence 13, which is now Odyssey. Mhm. And they asked us to do Root of Evil, the true

20:00

story of the hotel family and the Black Dalia. And they asked our entire entire family family. So the entire living side of the hotel family was also a part of it. Wow. which was pretty magical and heartbreaking at the same time because a lot of a lot of deep dark things came out of that. And you know our connection to Elizabeth Short is that George Odell, our great-grandfather, was the prime suspect in her murder. Right. That was always something that mom had to bear, a cross she had to bear, and she always wanted to advocate for Elizabeth. Yeah. And we always want to do that as well. And the truth of the matter is like even if we do believe that George truly did it, we don't have any solid evidence, true concrete evidence. It's all circumstantial. Right. Right. Yeah. And we would love one day for someone to

21:00

come out and be like, "Nope, it wasn't George." And we'll be like, "Oh, we were JK. Just kidding. Scratch that." Yeah. But regardless, you know, he did awful, awful, awful things to our family and it was an incredible heartbreaking and surreal experience. It was many things and it I would have to say that it was very cathartic, you know, in the end to have all the family together, you know, during that time um was pretty special. was very special, which I feel like is so important to have in a situation that you guys had or I guess like presently are are in from a supernatural perspective too. And even I'm sure you guys heard about it constantly growing up in Hawaii. This idea of like loved ones, of ancestors, of spirit guides, of people coming in. And so you want to think of all of your family who came before you as these like pure beings, as these people who can come back and like

22:00

protect you and guide you, right? And like here you guys are uncovering the opposite within your or potentially the opposite within your bloodline. So I do think it's really beautiful that everyone did get to come together and have that good energy that you you hope to have throughout your family that one person. Talk about also like healing ancestral like trauma and generational trauma. Breaking the cycle that was broken with our mom. Yeah, our mom was the most beautiful being. She was just a bright shining light. She truly was because despite, you know, all the things that she had gone through, all the secret and all the lies, she still rose above all of it, you know, and and when I say that supernatural is in our DNA, it truly started with her because when when she was young and living in Reno, Nevada, and experiencing, you know, all these ups and downs, she had guides that would

23:00

come to her. She had her big mama who had passed away who would show up and you know give her signs to get out of the house or do this or do that. So she always experienced the paranormal. Wait, what do you mean get out of the house? Well, there was a time when she was young and she was living with her mother, her adopted mother, Jimmy Lee. Jimmy Lee Jimmy Lee was an amazing human being, but she had a, you know, she had a drinking problem. So when someone is an alcoholic, you know, there there's an ugly side to them, right? And so there was physical abuse. And so there was one time where they got into a big fight. And that night she had a vision that her big mama came to her and told her that it is time for you to leave this house. And she ultimately did. She she got out of the house when she was 14. She was with my dad, you know, pregnant with me at 15. had me on her 16th right after

24:00

she turned 16 on August 1st. So, yeah. And all through her life, she's had, you know, different visions like that. And she's always believed in the supernatural. Always. Always. Guardian angels like carried her throughout her entire life. For sure. Well, and it's so incredible that she that she's like allowing them to throughout her life, too, right? like that she had that sign and that she took it because so many people do shut it out or like have influences in their life that tell that convince them to shut it out, you know? Or you ask for a sign and then the sign comes and you're like, well, was that really a sign and then it's me. It's I'm talking about Sabrina here. It takes 17 signs to accept it as a sign, right? No, she was the opposite. She thought everything was a sign or a symbol. like she and I would roll our eyes at her at times. We're like, "Okay, mom." You know, but she truly believed in all of that. She believed in crystals and tarot

25:00

readings and psychic mediums, right? But she also had a very deep faith in God as well, you know. She was raised in the church, so she had the best of both worlds. You know, nothing was an extreme, you know, one or the other. She like had the perfect mold of faith and belief and and the supernatural allin one. And again, that carried her through. She was truly beyond her time. And I've said that many, many times. She was one of a kind. She just she had a second sense. Well, it's amazing, too, because it sounds like she got double practice, right? Because if she grew up in religion and then she was also interested in all of those other things, it's just like again more practice and believing in things and energies outside of yourself. Yes. Yes. So, how much of that has been passed down to you two? And like do you guys believe in crystals? And what type of spiritual practice do you uh hold? Do I believe in crystals? As I have my rose quartz. Oh my gosh. Oh

26:00

my god. I have crystals all over the house. I mean, you know, obviously because, you know, we were so incredibly close to our mom. So all of that has resided within us in one way, shape, or form. So absolutely. I mean, I believe in guardian angels. I believe in crystals. I do have a deep faith in in God as well. So, I feel like I'm the mix of both of her because mom, she was the type of person who was willing to open her mind to learn other things, you know, right? And and I feel like I'm exactly the same way. And by the time I came along 11 years later, mom wasn't really into organized religion. You always have to put that in 11 years later. Yeah, I love listening to you two because you're such sisters. Like the way that you you like little comments between you two. It's so fun. That's how you know you have true sisters. Yeah. Yeah. But I think truly by the time that

27:00

I did come along that mom just wasn't into organized religion. She always said God is love. She always said that. So I wasn't raised in any type of church whatsoever. But you were raised in the church of love. Yeah. That's it. Amen to this. So, I consider myself spiritual. I have not a bad relationship with organized religion, but I think also, you know, not realizing that I was gay until I was 30 years old. And, you know, my father was incredibly homophobic cuz he was raised devout Catholic and then he denounced Catholicism. But, I think for me, I just never really felt accepted. But I always felt accepted by our mom. And I always felt like her love overshadowed anything else. And I loved collecting crystals and making wishes. And I remember her like giving me little crystals and I'd put them in my pillow and she would tell me to, you know, make wishes at night so that I could dream

28:00

and then my wishes would come true. I mean, this is so sweet. I'm just going to say this and like I'm I don't think I'm necessarily like a psychic or a medium, but the way that you two were just talking about your mom, like I I feel that love and presence around us. Like I just and it's a different energy than what we had before we were recording with you two, you know? I just feel like her presence and just the way that you remember her and talk about her is so palpable. Yeah, you guys carry her with you. We thank you both. We absolutely do. Thank you. That is the highest compliment possible because you know in every aspect of our life she is with us you know we are carrying on her legacy her torch of what she instilled in us to be strong women today but different you know obviously um she was a force to be reckoned with for sure you know and I like truly feel the love yeah Sabrina's crying I'm crying you because

29:00

the video is not zoomed in but Sabrina has two person I really feel the love. It's beautiful. A Sabrina, thank you for sharing her with us. That's Of course. And I think honestly that's part of what made Root of Evil so successful is our mom's voice was all throughout it. Yep. And she anchored us and she still anchors us. And it's so funny. We were just talking about this story yesterday with the CEO of Audio Chuck. It was just like a meet and greet cuz he's he's brand new to the company. And we were saying that right after mom died, we hired a psychic medium. Oh. And it was virtual. And we both asked her because she said after she gave us she gave us a lot of things and she said a lot of things that were very affirming and very validating. So we knew that mom was there. And she's like, "Do you have any questions for her?" And and you're like, "Is true crime podcasting what we're really supposed to be doing, mom? like is this

30:00

living out your legacy because she was just this epitome of sunshine and kindness? You know, she just so happened to be connected to one of the most infamous unsolved murders in American history. But couldn't watch anything to do with true crime. Like me either. I'm a Disney Harry Potter girl. So I'm like, are is this really what you want us to do? Mom, are you sure? Please, please come through and tell us. Yeah. And the psychic said that mom said that this is just a jumping off point. They're literally rocket ships about to take off in your life. And look at you. Like facing evil was just happening. And we we wanted to change the genre of true crime. We wanted to make it more empathetic just ethical like you guys do. Ethical true crime. come from a place of heart and aloha, but we just didn't feel quite right in the space.

31:00

And so eventually when we connected with Audio Chuck and Pave Studios and got to do So Supernatural and they asked us, they're like, "Hey, do the girls like anything supernatural?" We're like, "That's what mom wants us to do." Of course. What a natural pivot. Yeah. And it's true crime adjacent because of some of the stories that we delve into. But that's right. Yeah. I mean for for ghosts to stay here and haunt places oftent times there are these big tragic events. Tragic events. Exactly. Right. Right. Yeah. But I will also say like the the way that you just mentioned like your mom was so like happy and love and light. Every time we're we talked to you, you just are so happy, so smiley. And I texted you earlier. I was like, "Are we ready for our girly pop energy?"

caught dead handed (paranormal proof)

Yeah, I truly feel that all four of us are kindred spirits. You know, just the connection that you two have and the respect that you two have for one another. Even though you're not sisters, you are sisters and that transcends in

32:00

what you do as well. So, right back at you both. Thank you. That's very nice. Okay, let's take our love circle somewhere a little bit darker and let's go to the dark. We all like investigations. We all like clues. We all like jigging up evidence and so Sabrina and I have prepared some from our listeners and some that were just found on the internet. Some supposed evidence of the paranormal which we're going to present to you and we can decide which I think we're all going to decide that it's definitely evidence of the paranormal. Yes. We can decide or talk through what we think of all of them. Yes. And Okay. So, we have some like photos and videos and EVPs. So, we've got a lot. We got a lot and kind of want to do like a little game of I think you named it. What did you name it? I did. I was feeling creative this morning at 4:00 a.m. after putting my child down for like the 10th time in the night. Kin wrote, "This is the new TG

33:00

segment that we're going to unveil here first where we break down the footage, the photos, the sounds, and asks ourselves, is it proof? Were these spirits?" You got to say this. Wait, what? What did I name it again? I can't even remember. Like, what did I name it for you? Oh, I was so clever. Caught deadhanded. Caught dead. I love that. That's good. The caught dead-handed. This is our new segment that we're going to unveil. Unveil with you, Rasha and Evette. We are honored. Let's do it. Okay, so our first bit of evidence was sent in by one of our listeners, Claire. She writes, "Hey friends, my name is Claire, but I will be telling this story on behalf of my friend. When she told me this and she showed me the footage, I asked if I could send it into your podcast and she said yes. This experience scared the crap out of her and just seeing the footage makes me feel sick and uneasy. This story is short. It's about my friend who I will call Maddie and at the time she lived in an apartment with her parents that had just been built by her parents and they were going to rent this place out to

34:00

other people. Maddie has always seen ghosts and just had weird [ __ ] following her around since she was a teenager. She told me about several of her experiences in the past where she would see a sleep paralysis demon or just have really weird stuff happen around her all the time, but this experience completely changed everything. She now stays away from anything spooky. She does not like to talk about the paranormal, so she won't listen to this. Yeah, she Maddie's not tuning in. Yeah. Yeah. This night she was in that apartment that her parents had been staying in and renovating, but her parents were out of town. So this night she was home alone. She started hearing things on the other side of the door as shown in the video and started to record. And that is when she spotted what she can only describe as a demon. Show the video. Oh my god, that's so creepy.

And it literally turns the light on and off and it's peering around. It turns the light off when it realizes I think that it's being filmed. Oh my god, that is so freaky. That's wild. Rasha, you said you're a Harry Potter fan. Does this not look like Dobby's ear to you? Oh my god, it totally does. He's a demon elf. But it's tall, too. Like whatever this is. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, because the height is above the chair in the middle of the lamp. Oh, that gives me chicken skin. Oh, it's so creepy. And it's like there's not a ton of space to hide in that area, but it's perfectly behind that one. I don't even know what it is. If it's like a construction curtain or what, and it feels like it wanted her to see it. Like turning the light on. Yes, of course. And off is a very, very strategic malevolent choice. I would have freaked. I would have. Yeah. Do you

36:00

think that you would have been able to film it or just be paralyzed in fear? I think I would have been paralyzed in fear. Yeah. Same. Same. What about you guys? Yeah. You would film it, wouldn't you? You know, I don't know because things have changed in me in the past like couple years. I used to be so chicken and now it's like Yeah. Like now something paranormal happens and I'm just like stop and like move on. Oh my goodness. So maybe now I would, but if I were answering this question a year ago, I definitely would have been way too scared. Now I would probably approach it and be like, "You got to go. You got to go." See, my instinct, I think, like in a lot of fight orflight situations is freeze. Mhm. Mhm. So there is part of me that thinks that I would freeze and then like slowly be like reaching for my phone and film it. Yeah. Like I need to record this. Yeah. Yeah. It's true. It it it's hard to say, right? Because we can say like my initial reaction is be like, "Oh, hell no." Like I'd just be

37:00

terrified. But then if you're right there in it and you are in that fight or flight, like you don't know how you're going to react, you know? Totally. Especially like with you Karen, like being a mom now, you're like, "Come on, I'mma take you on. Let's go." Yeah, mama bear. I had enough. I'm fighting every single day. I don't need another one. Oh, that is definite proof of the paranormal. That I mean, yeah. Like, what else could that possibly be? Yeah. I mean, I think this whole segment is Yes. This is proof. Yeah. This is Yeah, I named it inappropriately. It should just be I don't even remember what I named it again. Caught dead-handed. It's caught dead. Just caught dead-handed. Oh my god. This is proof that I'm a new mom. My brain doesn't work. I have zero words. Rasha, does it ever turn itself around? Do you ever get your memory back? Does your brain ever return to its full capacity? My pregnancy was wicked. Like I had preeacclampsia and was on bed rest at 7

38:00

months and I think I was okay after she was born. Like I felt like it kind of returned pretty quickly. But I definitely have my obviously blonde moments. You'll be fine, Karen. It'll be back. Thanks. Okay, so this next one I found on Reddit and it's an EVP. So, I'm going to play it and I kind of want to hear what everyone thinks they hear. Okay. So, you're not going to tell us what people on the internet think it is yet so that we can make our own judgments. Yeah. So, just as a context, this was posted 7 months ago on Reddit and the user RGK1012 said, "Caught an EVP while trying to record a video of a storm." The first thing you hear is me saying back Rutherford, which is my cat's name, followed by the EVP. It was very late at night. I was alone with just my cat, trying to catch a video of the lightning. The neighbors had just moved out. I didn't hear anything audibly in

39:00

real time. Only when watching it back. Oh, only when watching it back. Okay, let me put both of my headphones on for this one. Okay. Yeah. I heard something. I did too, but I can't. One more time. I heard Rutherford. And then it almost sounds like Gollum. Take it. Is it saying take it? I hear the word back at first. Well, because so he says that he says back Rutherford to his cat. Oh, he says back Rutherford. Okay, wait. Yeah, but then you hear something crazy, but I hear something after that. It sounds like it says take it or something. Is that one more time? One more time. One more time. One more

40:00

time. Yeah, I hear back. I hear that brother and then it sounds like taken. Take it David or something. I don't know. Oh, not dear David. Not dear David. Not dear David. Yeah, it does sound like a Yeah, like a take it like take the picture or take the video or take it. I when I first heard it I thought it said [ __ ] And maybe I don't know it creepy. Yeah, it's like little and Yeah. Which makes me wonder like is it the cat? Like is the cat speaking? Well, what are people saying that they think they're hearing? Good question. Let's see. Some people heard Timmy. So, it is a T. Some person said they listened to it reversed and it sounded like a dog. Oh. Oh.

41:00

Someone else thought that they heard kitty after saying back Rutherford. Huh. Right. Which I guess would make sense. Yeah. Like a spirit being like kitty kitty. Yeah. And cats can normally see spirits, right? Right. Oh, wait. Someone else said, "I literally hear dick." I'm not making a joke is what I heard. Like I heard like [ __ ] Yeah, that goes with your [ __ ] Yeah, it does. Okay. Unfortunately, the spirit wasn't able to join us today to confirm what exactly freaky though, like when you find something that you weren't expecting to find when you're like relooking at stuff. We actually had I wish we had pulled it to show you guys, but Sabrina and I did we did like one big tour, but then we've done a few like small like couple shows here and there, like live shows. And a few years ago, we were going through some of the EVPs that people had uh like marked in our podcast, and we realized that like two or three years apart, the same man's voice is in EVPs. It's like one time it

42:00

said like hello and then another another time it said something else. But it is not someone that we recognize at all. We had both moved apartments multiple times in a male's voice. Yeah. It sounds like a a man maybe in his like late 20s or early 30s. And we joke that we have a spirit named Sven haunting our podcast. So we just kind of been we're like okay maybe it's Sven. Maybe it's Finn. We have had like different mediums and and people say like, "Oh yeah, there is a man haunting your podcast and his name is not Sven, but he is dawning that name proudly and and enjoys the attention." And you don't hear it when you're recording, right? No. No. It's just the listeners that hear it. It's always after I mean, I think that's the thing with audio in general. Like there's probably countless EVPs in podcasts, but people are probably not listening to a true crime podcast for EVPs or Right. Right. Yeah. a self-help podcast for EVPs. Right. It's also strange though

43:00

cuz it's like we used to edit back then and now we have an editor and stuff and so like audio is cleaned and audio is like we usually try to find things that are like strange and eliminate them. So, it is strange when EVPs still make their way through and that we like even in post don't notice it. Wow, that's a trip. Okay, I have a ghost photo now to share with you guys. Oh, okay. Okay, this was sent in by one of our listeners. They write, "This story is from my friend Ashley who okayed me to tell the story. This happened when she was in high school, probably around 2013 to 2014. She lived in a duplex which she thought was haunted and got uneasy feelings in the home. Her and her friend were sending selfies back and forth, her friend being the first to send one. And when it came time for Ashley to send a picture, she snapped a selfie and went on with her time. Her friend later responded to her selfie saying, "Who's that behind you?" Confused, Ashley looked back at the image and was

44:00

immediately freaked out. There was a fullbody apparition behind her, sitting on the couch watching her. No. And this was sent by Jessica. It is such a creepy photo. Ready? Oh my god. Sharing it. Be ready. Shut up. What? Oh, did it stop sharing? Oh my god. That's That's creepy. It just Oh my god, that's so funny. It only went on there for a second and then went away. It doesn't want us to see it. Oh my goodness. Okay. It It looked real to me. Oh no. Oh yeah. It looks like Voldemort. It totally looks like Voldemort from the first skeleton. Look at his head. It's like a skeleton face or like almost like a mask. Like I think of in the movie The Strangers, one of the masks that the Oh, yeah. Killers wears. The face almost looks like it's melting. It does. And do you see like the hand the the arm looks bent and it looks like there's a hand like Yeah. They're just kind of clasping their hands up here or one hand is up

45:00

here. Yeah. There's limbs, there's a face, there's eye, nose, mouth. So creepy. It looks like a skeleton to me. Very creepy. Total proof. Total proof. Total proof. Caught dead-handed. I remembered it this time. It's also so interesting when people do catch photos of spirits like like we we had an experience in New Orleans. It's our claim to fame. We uh the only time we've ever been in a tabloid. Yes. Oh, I've been in a tabloid, too. Let's hear your story. Well, what was your quote and then I'll tell the story. So, I found out we were in the tabloid because at the time I worked in HR and the director of HR sent me. She must have had like a Google alert on uh all the employees or something. And oh, she sent me this article because I was quoted as saying, "Yep, that's definitely a penis." Oh my goodness. Karen Vienn of Two Girls One Ghost said, "Yep, that's definitely a penis penis." So yeah, we were in New Orleans and we

46:00

were at Lefit's blacksmith shop and Karen and my friend Scout were sitting in front of the fireplace where people when they take photos, people have caught a face that is said to be Lefit, John Lefit's face, like spirit form and it's like frequent. People say like one in every, you know, 200 photos or something will have something that looks like a face. But we caught something phallic. It's like a glowing little blue penis. Yeah. You need something that looks like a penis. Let me see if I have Actually, I I'll pull up the tabloid. Sure. Show the lesbian a penis. Great. Show us that little blue penis, please. It's interesting. Literally, the Daily Star ghost penis caught on camera by stunned paranormal fans inside haunted bar. There it is. Oh, there it is. Oh, yeah. That's definitely a blue penis. Oh, that is funny. Oh my gosh. But my point being like it's so I took two

47:00

pictures like within the same 10 seconds and and it's not in the other one. One photo has nothing and the next does and it's like how well and oddly all of the photos you were taking were live cuz we were like oh we're going to hold them down and see if we can capture anything like moving or whatever. All of them were live. The only one in the whole batch that wasn't live was this one. The one over there was That's definitely a spirit for sure. Yeah. But like why then? And was the entity there the whole time, but just then in that moment like my camera was able to capture it or did it choose to make itself visible? I think it scene. I think it chose because why wouldn't it get in any of the other ones you were taking, right? I think it specifically chose. I wish we had a choice to not see that, but I can never unsee it. Well, at least it was blue. That's the only type of like flashing I want. A paranormal flashing.

48:00

Yeah. Caught dead-handed. You need to trademark that and put it on a shirt. It really It's so good. I'm sure it exists somewhere else. It's just It's a pun. I love it. I love a pun. Okay. So, the last one we have is another video from a listener and it's like a Ring camera situation. Oh, and the only context is, "Hi, ladies. The ring camera captured this at 1:30 in the morning outside of our house in Pennsylvania." That's it. Okay. Oh. Oh, that's definitely a spirit. Yeah. Right. It looks like a for sure walking. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Isn't that wild? Oh, that gives me chicken skin. That's the creepiest one I've seen out of everything. Yeah. And that one just makes me I mean brings up the whole conversation of timelines and like what is time and is what are spirits? Are they are they actually like deceased people in the present timeline or are we

49:00

seeing some sort of like glitch in the right matrix a different timeline? Is this just like a person walking through the yard in a different timeline? Wow, that's something to think about. There's so many different ways to look at it, right? Again, we can go back to what happened on the land, like what happened on that property? Is there an entity or spirit that is, you know, still present there for some reason or another? Or like you said, are we in the matrix? Like, you know, are we living in two different or three different timelines? Who's to say or four or five or the multiverse? Everything everywhere all at once. Stay at the multiverse. Exactly. Are we a regular human Loki or are we crocodile Loki in this life? Oh my goodness. I want to be crocodile Loki. Okay. Well, we do have one more game and this is going to be our palette cleanser to come off of some of the cuz I'm sure like people who are watching on YouTube too and listen or watch at night are going to be like, "Oh my god, what the

50:00

[ __ ] Why did you why did you do this?" Well, okay. Well, first, have you two captured any what you would call evidence? Have you caught any spirits dead-handed in any way? Well, I've always joked since our mom died in 2017 that I've wanted to see her ghost or have her haunt us, happily haunt us. And I've been joking about this for a long time. And I think it was about four nights ago. And normally I suffer from really, really bad nightmares. And four nights ago, I had a dream where I saw her mom, but she was in the form of a spirit. Like she was kind of like that blue glassy almost like you could see through her, but she looked so stunningly beautiful. And you know, cancer kind of took that away from her in the end, even though she still was really pretty, but it like no sign of cancer or anything. And I was telling you Ivette this the other day when you know the morning I didn't

51:00

remember it until she was telling me about a dream she had and I'm like oh my god oh my god I have to tell you I dreamt about mom last night and I asked this spirit which I knew was my mom. And I said, "Can I hug you?" And I can't remember if she said yes or she nodded. And I hugged her and I felt the hug. Like I could physically feel it. And that's the first time. And I've dreamt about her many, many, many times. Normally it's sadly it's her corpse. And she's like, "I'm not dead." And I'm like, "You have to stop coming to me in corpse form." Yeah. Yeah. It's freaking me out cuz we cremated you. So what is going on? But yeah, I felt the hug and like I could feel it in my dream and in my body and that's the first time that's ever happened to me. That was a dream visitation. Then it doesn't really feel like a dream at all. Like we and she hugged me. We've heard before like if you can feel something or like if you can look down and see your own toes, if you're consciously thinking in your own

52:00

dream, oh my god, I can't believe this is happening. That that's exactly how I was feeling. Yeah. It's not a dream. It's it's you in this like astral plane space that looks like a dream to give you access or to give spirits access to you in a space that won't scare you. Now I'm crying. And I also think when you're sleeping you just are able to be a little bit more in in wow in release your inhibition. Release. You can release your inhibition. That's the only way you can say the word. A I love that. Oh my god, it makes my heart happy. You got to sing it if you can't say it. But yeah, that's so special. Yeah. Yeah. I think for me, like I've there's so many times, you know, after mom passed, I would I was in the shower and I would always write on the the glass door. I would always say, "I love you, Mom. I miss you." And I would wait like for the steam to, you know, take it away or for her to write something. Till this day, that still

53:00

hasn't happened. I still do that. um waiting and I know one day it will happen. I do believe it but there was a time again dreaming sleeping and I was going through some stuff and as a kid you know whenever I would work out my problems I would just go to sleep. My mom always used to say that's why you look so young cuz you slept half of your life away. When I was sleeping and having some issues, I felt my mom saying, "It's okay. It's okay." And I could feel the touch of her hand rubbing, you know, across my forehead. That's so sweet. That was the the very first time that I ever felt that. That was a while ago. I think I told you about that, Rasha, a long time ago. I remember. So, but that's the only time that I actually felt that, you know,

paranormal would you rather

like that physical touch. Wow. And I know you two have had multiple, right? Oh, yeah. But nothing quite like the ghost penis. That one was unique. That will probably

54:00

never happen again. Yeah. I don't If we catch another ghost penis, I will be I don't know. There's a problem. Then then someone needs to give us Travel Channel needs to give us a show or maybe HBO so that we can show the penises. Chasing Ghost Peen. Oh my. It has to be HBO Max. Phantom Flashers. Yeah, you're good. So witty. But yeah, let's do our palette cleanser. The palette cleanser. Actually, you gave a witty name to this, too. What did you call it? Cuz my brain's on at 3:00 a.m., but not not any other time. Okay. It's would you rather paranormal versus mundane inconveniences. Okay. So, do you want to do one for Rasha and I'll do one for you and then we'll go back and forth. Okay. We're going to do like a little bit of a rapid fire. These are going to be would you rathers and one of them's going to be like a would you rather have the option to choose this paranormal thing or this other thing that's not paranormal but might be a little bit annoying. Okay. Okay. Okay. Rasha, would you rather have a haunted music box that only plays Baby Shark? Oh my god. Every stranger you ever meet

55:00

call you mommy? Oh my god, that is so hard. Um, I'd want every stranger to call me mommy because I could not get Baby Shark out of my head for years. Even just hearing Baby Shark makes it go off. No one hum. No one hum. All right, Evette. Would you rather have a doppelganger that only mimics your most embarrassing moments or use a phone that only makes calls on speaker? Um, I would have a doppelganger who always, you know, mimics my most embarrassing moments because I am one to laugh. I love to laugh. So, I'm fine with that. All right. Well, what's an embarrassing moment that you're you're Oh my god. I'm trying to think about one. You got to pick an embarrassing moment. Russia. Russia would know one. An embarrassing moment. An embarrassing moment. Oh my god. Do you guys know that viral moment when Jessica Simpson Oh, right. the thing with the chicken or tuna tuna of

56:00

the sea. And I was like, "But what?" Yeah, she did the same thing that Jessica did. She's like, "But isn't it chicken?" And I'm like, "Oh my god, that this is when we lived together in LA." There was like, "Yeah, you know, I do have a little bit of blonde in me." But hey, I would rather I would rather be laughing like 24/7 there. So, you'll find the humor in your doppelganger reliving your embarrassing. Yes, I would. I would and my abs would be tight. This is true. Okay, Rasha, would you rather have a ghost that moans your name every time you fall asleep or have everyone in your life insist that ghosts aren't real? Oh. Oh, I'd probably want them to moan my name because I don't want to know that ghosts aren't real. I agree with that. Yeah, I would do the same. You'll get desensitized to it, right? Like you'll just hear the It'll be Well, I'll get used to it. It'll be fine,

57:00

right? It's white noise at this point, right? Iette, would you rather own a haunted Alexa that whispers true crime facts every morning at 3:00 a.m. or wake up every morning to find 100 unread messages in a group chat? probably wake up every morning to find 100 messages in a group chat because I don't check all my messages as it is. I'm the same obligation to read them then. Yep. For sure. My sister gets anxiety looking at my phone when she sees if like if I have there's a notification. Yeah, I have notifications that I haven't checked. I'm like it's I'm like have you not responded and I don't understand you. Raj, are you like an inbox at zero type of person? Yes. Oh, she is. I am so type A in that sense. We used to be like that and now we both are like text messages at 150. Oh god, I couldn't. And I'm like, it's fine.

58:00

Okay. Well, here. Let me let me do this one first before the other one I was going to do. So, Rasha, would you rather have a haunted ceiling fan that spins faster and faster and faster when you're anxious? Oh, [ __ ] or live with a thermostat that's stuck at 66° forever. Oh, that's easy. Oh my god. I mean, that's easy. Russia, I can't have anything at 66, but I have the worst anxiety. Oh my god. So, what are you going to choose? I know, Russia. I'd probably go with the thermostat stuck at 66 cuz the fan would make me have a panic attack, right? I would like start to fear like Final Destination like this thing's going to fly off. And I know I can't even watch the commercial for the new one. And I'm like, "No." Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Would you rather have a spirit that appears every time you sneeze just to say bless you and then vanishes or have a partner who sneezes

59:00

louder than loud every single time? Well, I have to go with the second one because I already have a partner who sneezes louder than loud and scares the Jesus out of me every time he sneezes. my husband, Chino. So, that's a real thing. I feel like both of those are not terrible. Like, I wouldn't mind a ghost showing up like every time I sneeze to say bless you. Yeah. Bless you. Bless you. Kind of polite. Yeah. Yeah. But then it's like, what does that ghost look like? And then the fear of them. And what if you don't know where they pop up? Like, are they going to be right in front of your face or like across the yard? Like, ah, thank you. You're scared. It's like the the buildup of the sneeze and you know they're about to pop up. I think the suspense of it would I would choose a loud sneezer. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Rasha, would you rather be haunted by a spirit who sobs loudly during your Zoom calls or never be able to mute yourself on a Zoom call? Depends. How many weird noises do you make while you're Yeah. Oh [ __ ] Um I

1:00:00

think I'd go with never be able to mute myself because I try to keep all my embarrassing things like off the mic anyway. Fair. Like if I have to burp, I'll be like, "Le, I'm reaching for something over here. But I would like love to have a moaning myrtle and I'd have to explain it every time I'm on a Zoom call." Like, "Hey, you're going to hear some sobbing. It's my ghost. She hates when I'm on Zoom. It's fine." But then I'd almost feel bad about it. I'd be like, "I can't take a Zoom call." Because it would feel bad. That's why I'd want to not be able to mute myself. All right, Evette. Would you rather have a Victorian child ghost who wants to play, but their favorite game is funeral or live in a home that used to be a funeral parlor? Oh lord. No. You have to pick one. And no. Um,

1:01:00

what was the first one again? Say it again. have a Victorian child ghost who wants to play, but their favorite game to play is called Funeral. I would have to say that. I would have to choose that one. Yeah. And they want you to play the dead person every time. She wants to play the dead person every time. They just want to play. Honestly, not a bad gig to play the dead person if you get to like lie there and they pretend to do your makeup. Like, feels good. Feels like a little massage. Yeah, she she might have some talent. Who knows? But then they close the coffin and you freeze. I'm going to pitch this game to my kid when he's old enough. Rasha, would you rather wake up every morning to find creepy photos of yourself sleeping on your phone, but you always get a nice 9 hours of sleep or wake up at the witching hour every single night, no matter what? Ooh, I would want the creepy photos on my phone and get the 9 hours of sleep because my 13-year-old steals my phone sometimes

1:02:00

and does take creepy photos of me sleeping. Yeah, she takes photos like all the way up through. That's a lived experience. I love that. She loves the.5, especially on her iPhone, and gets all the crinkles in my head. Oh my gosh. So, you do live in a haunted house. It's haunted by your 13-year-old. Exactly. Okay, this is the last one. Yeah. Okay, Evette. Yes. Would you rather have a ghost that whispers spoilers to every show you start or be limited to only watch cable and there's no streaming? Oh man, that's a hard one. I think I would take the first. I would have a ghost who whispers the spoilers cuz I I can't just watch cable and no I agree. I agree. I can't. I can't. I can't. And Evette's always the one that figures out what's Yes, I am the true detective because I am always the one figuring out the [ __ ] right from the get. That rhymed.

1:03:00

Well, that's our So, that was our palette cleanser. That That was our palette cleanser. Love the palette cleanser. Makes you forget all of the videos and EVPs and photos we just looked at. Yeah. I feel warm and fuzzy inside. Exactly. I feel like in general this episode was lighter than the uh the demon of Burville. Burville. Oh, Brownsville. Brownsville. The demon of Brownsville. I was like, "What is that? Is that another one?" You know, I missed a couple of letters there, but I was close. It's fine. You're fine. Which if people haven't listened, go check out that episode on So Supernatural. Well, thank you guys so much for joining us. We had so much fun and we will see you on the other side. Very spooky.
