Haunted dorms at LMU

okay moving to Loyola Marymount University and I lived in the dorm called Weyland you lived in Delray South North Delray north Delray north so if there's anyone from LMU listening there you go wait distance are haunted

brief side note I went back to campus for the alumni barbecue over the summer and there are some new new dorms that truly look like fancy bougie apartment complexes I know vomit stained curtains yes in my dorm yeah you know I'm not going to say I'm jealous because I'm happy that it gets improved and that other people get to experience a better version of those dorms but man they were updating all the buildings when we were there but not the dorms but now I guess they've moved on yeah but you actually were in the newer dorm compared to mine I think yeah I had AC which was nice yes you had a lot of bells and whistles I was in basically it was thought of as like the worst storm you could be in well yours and Rosecrans they were just super super

old maybe they've been redone since I don't know but they were no they were untouched yeah okay well that's how it was so but they were social they were fun yeah because well because I feel like the dirtier the place the more of a party place it tends to be because people don't care about keeping it their places tidy you know they don't respect it as much were you the fourth floor third floor I don't think there was a fourth floor okay so third floor and you were all the way at the end on the right on the left yeah uh-huh I remember your room perfectly that's where I was I was far away from the bathroom so in the middle of the night when I did it was a journey but so I lived in Wayland and my roommate was Jenny I love Jenny she was such a good roommate and directly across from us were Marissa who has been on this podcast and spoken a few times and

Brianna and so the four of us basically like often had our doors open and would always talk to each other and so they all three of them witnessed a lot of the Paranormal Activity that I also experienced or experienced some alone as well so we all knew this place was haunted my first experience in Weyland was in the bathroom so in this dorm nobody had their own bathroom there wasn't like a bathroom that was split between a few rooms it was just one communal bathroom yep that was smack dab in the middle of all of the hallways and you all just came to this communal bathroom that had like six bathroom stalls and like three showers for how many girls yeah it wasn't great it wasn't great but it worked and I didn't really care I was like barely 18. yeah but anyway there was a night where I had to go to the bathroom and it wasn't even

in the middle of the the night it was like I don't know 10 p.m or something and I go into the bathroom and no one else is in there so I'm the only one and it's very it's very clear that you're the only one because you can see the whole bathroom while you're in there yeah so I'm in a stall I choose the very first stall and so all the other stalls are to the side of me so if anyone else came into the bathroom to use the stall I would hear them I would see them and that's what happened someone came in and I watched their feet go by underneath the stall to do a little like white nightgownish draping on the side and I was like oh interesting and they're they're going and then I don't hear them get into a stall I don't hear anything else once they pass and so I was like that's weird or they just kind of standing outside the back like are they waiting for me to leave so that they can poop in peace you know sort of thing and so then when I got out of the bathroom which was moments later because

yeah I wasn't spending much time in there this was just a pee break I opened the door and there's no one in there but I saw the bare feet which also was gross yeah two red flags bare feet and a white nightgown well I mean there were plenty of people that were like oversized t-shirts or 90s but ones that go all the way to your ankles just no that's spooky sticking the floor basically yeah that was very spooky so I was like holy [ __ ] I saw a ghost and I mean I had my whole history of seeing spirits so I didn't say anything I didn't run back to my dorm room I was just like just another day in Corinne's life just another day I guess this place is haunted too and then the group experience I had in my dorm room me and Jenny were in our rooms and Jenny was at her desk and so the way that the room was set up was we had our two beds the

desks right next to it and so we slept basically facing each other but if we were both working at our desks our backs returned to each other Marissa and Brianna were in the room all on my side sitting on my bed I was sitting at my desk and Jenny was sitting at her desk in her chair and we're all hanging out we're talking Jenny has these plastic beads that are draped as decoration like taped in this kind of draping manner across the top of her desk uh-huh I don't remember what we said but it was something that I think warranted a response from someone who who wasn't present I don't know if we like asked the universe something or joked about a spirit we we said something that got a response that we were not anticipating it wasn't intended for a ghost to answer but the beads they don't just gently move like wind they start boom boom slapping like like someone's holding them and it's like

rowing them Jenny runs she Sprints and gets onto my bed and then we're all like and we go across to Marissa and Brianna's room and we are flipping [ __ ] because that was so scary and it was all of us together so of course you you absorb everyone else's energy and you're like this is so scary super freaked out yeah at least you're with people though so it's like okay we all experience that we all acknowledge that that happened yeah and can confirm it and poor Brianna Brianna's super Catholic and Catholics do believe in I mean if you look at like the earliest versions of the Bible before they were Rewritten 400 500 years ago or whatever like there were stories of reincarnation and things like that but she's coming let's talk about Jesus today's Catholic yeah yeah back from the dead she's scared of coasts like she doesn't want to even them and yet she started to experience all of these things when we were in college so she was scared

shitless that's your fault I feel like that's on you I think I I blame Marissa for all of these things because she also came from a haunted house that's true she had the her house had a big grandfather clock that in the month of October the clock would go backwards and that was the month that the person who had previously owned the house had died and we brought it to different people and no one could fix it there was no explanation as to why this clock was doing it so she had her own spooky past Jenny didn't though so we had Brianna and Jenny who just like what the hell is happening and me and Marissa were like oh my God there's ghosts here before Jenny's like who is my roommate what have I gotten myself into and I was wild and immature so much more she was an adult yeah she was an adult living with me so she I always have such fond memories of Jenny and have so much love in my heart for her I have no idea if it's

Ghost busting in college

anywho so this stuff is happening and then Sabrina this is your part where what a month or two in I get a text from you that I need to bring over all of my ghost busting products that I have with me yes so I'll tell my part and then you can tell yours I and we've definitely talked about this on the podcast before so as everyone knows Karin and I met first week of college and immediately bonded over the fact well crin's fun fact was that you grew up in a haunted house so like I immediately whipped my head over to Korean and I'm like you you bonded for life now you can't you love mine you're mine um so we bonded over that very very

quickly and then yeah so about a month or two into College my roommate was out of town or like at a concert or something like that Lexi and I get a text from her and it says please don't die and I was like what and I was so freaked out I texted her back I was like are you okay what do you what do you mean and she like sent back a question mark I was like what are you talking about and so I screenshotted the text to her and I sent it to her and she was like I didn't send that and so she sent me her text messages that text did not exist in her like scent at all and I just got got so uneasy and I was alone in my room this you know who knows if it was a technological issue if there was something present um also very religious too yes yeah it wasn't even something she would ever say to you

yeah well and it also seemed concerning like it was like I it was almost like something's going to happen like please don't die or like stay safe so maybe it was something safe like a warning anyway I immediately texted you Korean and I was like where are you what are you doing I need you I grabbed my briefcase so I'm like running over with my kit literally a briefcase you put a briefcase no I didn't actually have a friend yes you did what did I throw it in I don't remember but I okay I brought over everything I had my narrative and I I'm I I totally probably rewrote this into just imagining it the way that I wanted to but I imagined I remember you bringing a briefcase over plopping it on the bed unlocking each latch pulling it open to reveal your collection of things you know what this might not be a missed memory because I do know what case

McKay hall experiences

I moved into a dorm called McKay also [ __ ] ended yeah party dorm ugliest oldest I think that one I was on

maybe I was on the top floor of that one too so both times I was on the fourth floor of McKay I didn't know anything about McKay we'd never heard a haunted reputation about McKay at all but the very first day we're moving in and our friend Chase is moving into the first floor I'm moving into the fourth floor I get a call Chase walked into his dorm room to set up his stuff and there was a girl standing there in the middle of his room and he went oh because he was about to say like oops like is it sorry yeah disappears the girl just vanishes poof so he's super scared and I'm like well what do you want me to do what do you want me to say to help you through this and he was like I don't know like maybe uh I'm sure I'll be fine I'll be fine and we kind of left it at that we're like okay if anything else happens just let me know but otherwise hopefully it was just good luck spirit that didn't realize summer break

was over and that people were moving in so I move into the fourth Which floor makes me just enjoy the idea that this spirit in summer months is like has the whole building to it so yeah yeah all the ghosts are just having a grand old time on the news campus all college campuses I'm sure in the summer yeah everyone's gone definitely but I move into my dorm room and my roommate is Jenny and Marissa and Brianna are also our roommates in the other room so we basically had the same setup that we had in Weyland but this time instead of a hallway dividing us we had a bathroom dividing us so we were considered one dorm room but we each had a different side so Jenny and I repaired on one side Marissa Brianna were on the other we very we're very social so we very rarely closed the doors to the bathroom

we would just yeah frequently walk between the two and if you came home and you heard someone in the other room you would immediately go and start talking to them right was that sort of set up and pretty quickly all of us started to experience coming back to our room hearing the other people like I would hear Marissa and Jenny and Brianna or like it would seem like their voices in the other room and I would go in there and they wouldn't be there I'd be the only one here and everyone experienced that even Jenny who was I feel like Jenny was very much like a didn't was just kind of like oh like yeah I want to talk about I'll listen while you guys are talking about it but like I'm not gonna add any stories to this but even she was experiencing stuff so we all heard what it sounded like almost us being we couldn't really tell if it was us being like mimicked or if it was just the sound of people our age kind of chatting in a close proximity so we were like oh it must be everyone must be be back and

we don't think anything of it you walk the five feet to the noise and then no one's there that's the weird thing is that it's not one voice it's multiple like someone having a people having a conversation so or we would also just hear things too like you'd hear stuff on a desk being moved around and you're like oh they must be yeah and you go in and there's no one and even while I was sleeping at night I would hear things on the desk and Jenny and I had our room set up so that her bed was a little bit lower it was like an L shape of our beds but mine was lofted and hers was lower so I had like a bird's eye aerial view of the whole room and I would wake up to these noises and I'd look down and there'd be nothing and one time I was laying on our futon and I was napping and I woke up because I felt someone come in the room I felt a presence and I kind of like fluttered my eyes open and looked and there was a

girl walking by with brown hair up in a ponytail and she was walking by and then sort of like disappeared and it it didn't look like Jenny like it was clearly someone else and I knew no one else was there and this was Munson so I knew that there was some sort of ghost in our dorm room so I was just like oh [ __ ] I saw her that's her and that was the most benign experience compared to what Marissa experienced I know I'm just so curious who this spirit is because we we've heard lore of a girl at Loyola Marymount dying and like no one finding her body for some time but that's also is that Legend is that lore I don't know but there's we got some confirmation because senior year so this was after we'd moved out Jenny

didn't live with us anymore she hadn't lived with us for two years and Jenny was working at was at the career center or she was working at some sort of office on on ellamy's property and it shared offices with a few different like departments and groups and her boss was really good friends with the person who was the head of housing and it was like two weeks no no oh my gosh I'm so sorry this wasn't senior year this was two weeks before we left sophomore year so we'd spent the entire year in this dorm and two weeks before we move out Jenny overhears the woman from housing talk about the death of a girl that happened on the fourth floor of Weyland many years ago she had like a heart attack or some sort of complication and Jenny's like wait I live on the fourth floor of Weyland where what are you saying what do you mean McKay McKay sorry sorry McKay McKay

okay it was okay I was like wait back okay yeah and and if I'm remembering correctly I think the person was just saying like this woman was saying there was a death in McKay and Jenny was like I live in McKay and the woman was like well this happened on the fourth floor and he's like I live on the board floor and she's like this happened in room and I can't remember our dorm room number but it happened in your room it was Marissa and Brianna's room so we were connected to it it all makes sense and we're very certain that this girl lost her life on Marissa's side of the room because many things happened to Marissa that were a lot more aggressive and when I say aggressive I just mean like the energy was very palpable and there was honestly maybe it is aggressive maybe this one this woman was a little bit jealous that Marissa got to like live her life on this side because she would just pass by the rest of us or or like make noise I guess but for Marissa one time Jenny and I were

making our way up to our dorm and when we get in we like went to Iggy's for milkshakes 3 000 calorie milkshakes in her hands right after my tuna melt like disgusting I miss that yeah yeah I wish I could still have that that's why I gained 30 pounds of gold but Jenny and I enter the dorm and Marissa comes out of the bathroom with her towel and she's like soaking wet and she was like were you did you guys were you just in here did you just knock and we were like oh no we just got we literally just walked in 15 seconds before she was like okay and she was really shaken up and what had happened was she was showering she was the only one there by herself in the shower when you walk into the bathroom that connects the two dorm rooms there's another door that gives you access to the toilet and to the shower so that you have some privacy while other people are using the sinks so she had the door closed

oh yeah and she's like startled because she was alone and now the door is being slain it's like in a really aggressive knock and she was like I'm in here I'm in here it happens again and she's like I'll be right out because she's kind of thinking like is there an emergency like what's going on and she comes out okay just clarification is she in there's a door separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom yeah and that's the door that was being banged on yes so it's like inside the bathroom oh yes so when we walked in and again we we never closed the door from our rooms to the bathroom we just used the bathroom as like a little hallway so when we came in it obviously concerned Marissa because she like heard the door open and then immediately it just like flew from her room into ours and was like when when were you here and we're like you're watching it you're witnessing us arriving yeah oh that's so scary I feel like Marissa

you Karin you have had a lot of experiences but I feel like Marissa has a lot of scary experiences yes there's a lot that's she's targeted yeah she she is the one that experiences the thing it's not like she just sees something or hears something she is things are happening to her like on her yeah in her I would say it's very fair to call it aggressive it was aggressive so she was very shaken up by that experience there was another time that she was very shaken where she woke up At first she was like is this sleep paralysis I can't quite understand but she woke up in that bed and felt like she was being held down so it wasn't just like oh I'm stuck in my body I'm paralyzed I'm in the sleep paralysis it was there's a weight on top of me and they are holding me down preventing me from moving I just I don't understand what the intent of that is I mean okay there is a

version where it isn't malevolent it is just the energy of the spirit causing the feeling of being held down or perhaps that's the feeling that this woman this girl felt when she was and you know in her last moments of Life yeah it totally could be I just don't want it to be malicious because it's like what what are they trying what is the spirit trying to get at I mean who knows maybe we're attributing all of these experiences to this one girl who passed in this dorm and who I saw walk by and who we all heard but maybe it is different things maybe the feeling of being prep of being held down was like you said the feeling that she felt in the last moments maybe the banging on the door is some sort of leftover energy of another roommate doing that to get another roommate out we realized she had passed away you know

like the past State we don't know we don't know what happened completely but Marissa did have one other experience in that room and me and Brianna and Jenny were all sitting in Brianna in Marissa's room and Marissa went to go shower she comes back 10 minutes later who touched my phone this isn't funny you guys this really isn't funny who did this you know I'm scared and we're like what are you talking about we've all been sitting here we haven't moved an inch like me and Jenny are on the futon Brianna's on her desk chair like none of us have done anything like what are you talking about her phone had been opened and a text message had been written to I can't even remember it was like a jumbled it wasn't anyone it was like just random numbers and letters but the the text basically said something to the effect of like hey girl like do you want to go get lunch I'm heading to class soon

name attached to it but it was someone that she went to class with so maybe it was like you know I'm sending this to Jules or whatever maybe Jules was someone to that Spirit right like they knew someone named named Jules Jules um I can't quite remember but yeah so that's I mean stuff was happening so frequently and that's one of the things that happened and then me you and Izzy went into the theater at LMU because it was it's said to be haunted and we do feel like it's kind of one where I'm like oh did we experience something do we not because we wanted to and it's an old thing and there's a lot of creaking and noises but we did and there was drinking footsteps there was drinking involved I had many drinks yeah we all did but it was a good time it was a great time it was a great and I don't think we were supposed to be in there which made it even more fun no we weren't We snuck in which is so quiet and we were like what is that

Wrinkles the dog

I go home for Christmas break and my beloved dog wrinkles it has to be put down he had I can't remember exactly what it is but it was like his liver his spleen something wrong is basically internally bleeding and so there's no coming back from it he had to be put down he was in a lot of pain and um it was horrific yeah so hard but I am glad that you were home yes I know and my dad has said that multiple times he's like I think he waited for you to come home because it happened two days after I was or two days before I was supposed to go back to California yeah but everybody in my family my

parents and my brother they start experiencing things from wrinkles after he passes so for six months they experienced things a few months after I think it it's like between four and six months after he passed in our we call it the big room but it's our living room our living room the big room the biggest room where we gather the living room um has a red carpet and my brother I know we posted this back in like 2018 or 2017 on our on our Instagram but my brother took a picture when he walked out there there were claw marks all down part of the rug which looked exact there was no way to replicate this and obviously my mom had vacuumed probably right 30 times since he had passed at this point and there were these claw marks which is what wrinkles used to do he used to stretch

his claws out good stretch good stretch twice my dad felt the couch when he was lying on it like feet up completely laying on the couch felt the couch move back a little which is exactly what would happen when wrinkles would shift his weight and like lay down at the base of the couch and try to be near my dad for my dad to like put his soul and everybody heard the Clickety Clickety Clickety of his nails on the wood floor I had many dreams about him and when I would come home for the summer and for various breaks my parents were like we can tell the activities picking up we can feel him a lot more now and I felt him multiple times coming into my room I could hear him I could feel him I knew he was in my room I knew he was right next to my bed but I couldn't see him uh didn't wrinkles protect your family from the other spirits too well that's our Theory because wrinkles

passed and for the six or so months that he was pretty active in our house everything else was silent we didn't experience anything from the other ghosts so we're like oh because he had been spooked a few times like there was one time there was multiple times that he was spooked by Spirits in our house but yeah one time we came home and the sweater had been a sweater that he loved his like little cheetah print fleece sweater that he would wear in the winter had been taken off of him in a room that he never went in and he always slept on the Forbidden sofa we called it when we were gone he would always be on that sofa no matter what and as he was getting older he wouldn't hear us come home so we would just catch him be there until he well he a few times we we caught him and he was so incredibly embarrassed oh do it to him again so we would just let him discover us be home um that's so cute I feel like that's such a dog thing my family dog foreign

like there's my mom has a couch that she's like anytime the dog would get on there she would say like no get off and so she learned not to be on the couch but the second my Mom leaves she is on that couch yeah yeah it was funny too because the couch that we had our forbidden sofa was leaned against it was pushed back against the wall of our front windows the front of our house so one of the things we would do whenever we were pulling away from the house is what's everyone's bet in the car the wrinkles will already be on the sofa and looking out the window at us oh that's so cute but something took the sweater off of him must have been concerned for him and thought he shouldn't have the sweater on him um and that day he waited shivering with fear at the back door into our garage waiting for us to get home so a lot of stuff happened to him so basically our theory is he was like get the F out of here you

scare me and now I'm on the same playing level field as you yeah I also wonder if the ghosts went into mourning like they were they were so sad that wrinkles was no longer living with you and the family and that they were like let's pay our respects and allow Corinne and her family to also mourn the loss of wrinkles and so let's not add to their stresses and sorrows and to make sure that any paranormal activity that did occur we would know it was wrinkles for sure yeah because I feel like most of the spirits that you grew up experiencing in your house were benign so I like to imagine that they all you know were like they had a little meeting when they got together they're like okay I know you all love hauntings but uh we're just gonna take a 60-day

Hiatus I agree I agree because even when wrinkles was really spooked about getting his sweater removed I the way that we pictured it was this Spirit was probably like oh this poor baby like he's he's gonna overheat let's get him out of this sweater and pulled it off of him and probably chased him in the corner in the room he never goes in where we found it like it wasn't taken off in a way that if a dog had gotten themselves out that it would be laid out it was done by the hands of a human being yes well-intentioned but well-intentioned terrified scary scary it's like you've never touched me before so yes a lot was going on

and then junior year we all move off campus we all move into houses which is so fun but man I just can't believe some of the houses that we lived in were so

nice like my house was so nice and why would they let people in College move there because I made a lot of money because they made a [ __ ] ton of money so it didn't matter how much beer was left over on the floor yeah at the end of the year you're right plus having girls was probably a safer bet then and we had we hired a cleaning lady we had God we had two cleaning ladies and they've had almost the same name Esperanza no it was Yolanda and then it's like low Londa or like something like that oh they both quit I was gonna say I feel like Esperanza was the uh everyone used her maybe that was after college yeah no there was another woman who everybody used while we were in college and unfortunately I think she passed away while we were in college oh sad yeah she

she was dealing with a lot but anyway our regular person she eventually quit and I think it's because she just didn't like that much square footage and to be around the smell of beer it wasn't an easy job yeah but also maybe it was because she experienced some paranormal activity in here because this house which we call kalejio was very very haunted Marissa's come on the podcast a few times to talk about it so I'm just kind of quickly go through it um not in too much detail but one of the things that happened take all the details like give us all of it people like to hear the detail especially because get so much I know but especially because we've told all of these stories sporadically throughout the years of the podcast but having it all in one place is awesome I mean I personally love it because I every time I hear your stories I feel like I'm hearing them again for the first time

so I bet people will want to hear all the details okay whatever you remember okay well actually you know I felt generally pretty good there I didn't think there was really anything going on in my room it felt generally safe the thing that I was scared most of was actual break-ins from human beings because we had some attempted ones I literally had fingerprints that the police came and looked at that were outside of my window where someone was trying to get the window yeah so well there was also a problem a Peeping Tom probably there was a Peeping Tom there was actually a Peeping did he ever get arrested no that's the craziest part so after we graduated it continued and escalated to the point where one group of girls were in their house and one girl was like sitting in her family room and she had like her class had gotten canceled or something like that so she didn't have class at that time uh was sitting in her family room and had the back door open but like the

screen closed and all of a sudden she sees like a hand opening the door and a man walks inside sees her they stare like they lock eyes and he turns and bolts and so they set up a camera basically what they think is this guy had been watching them for so long he knew their schedules definitely because if he tried to go in when she was supposed to be in class he was trying to go steal some panties or something right so they set up cameras and of course I called the police set up cameras and the police were like we can't really do anything because we don't know who it is there's no one anyway so they were like well we'll take matters into our own hands they set up cameras they literally had they got footage of this man getting a ladder climbing up to the camera turning it away and then him could you see his face I think that they did they could enough

uh yeah so basically when you move off campus some of the scariest things are other people yeah so that was really my fear in Colegio but that changed a little bit when on the second floor so I've described this before but our house setup was that the first floor there were four bedrooms the second floor there was one bedroom and that is also where the living room the kitchen and the dining room were it was on the the bluff so like the cliff side I think everything was set up that way so that you would have a view of the ocean which we did um but when we were when I was upstairs at night I saw
