Very spooky. Hey. Hey. Can you please tell us about the eclipse? I can. Okay, well, first this is Two Girls One Ghost. Two Girls One Ghost. And we are your ghostesses. That's Corinne. Hello. I'm Sabrina. And we're recording this in April. This comes out in September. Yeah, this is all out of order. Mostly because we have so much to record and it's just like we have so much research going at the same time. So, whatever episode the research is done for, we just record. It doesn't matter. Yeah. The order. So, we're all over the place here. But, it is April 9th. So, the eclipse has just happened.

1:00

It's hard to describe what I felt. It was so weird cuz like I've seen I remember when I was in middle school, there was like a partial eclipse in Vermont and I remember going outside and like, you know, you watch it with your your little goggles that they like buy you or make in class or whatever. And I remember being like, "Oh, that was cool." I understand the people who will travel across the world to go see total eclipses. Yeah. It is unlike anything else. It was so bizarre because it's like we're out there, we're sitting in the Adirondack chairs in my parents' backyard and in Vermont in the right under the line of the total solar eclipse. Very lucky that that happened. That's so cool. And we have our little glasses and we're looking up and it's so warm. It's like a perfectly clear day and it's so warm in the sun and you see kind of like the notch of the moon coming to obstruct the sun. And it just kind of looks like a little chip and you're like, "Oh my gosh, that's so cool." chill like Yeah, like a little chip came out of the sun. And it is very cool to see that. But I feel like if you've ever been anywhere

2:00

near like a partial eclipse, like that's what you see or it kind of almost looks like the moon, like a crescent like it just becomes more of like a crescent Right. shape. And so it wasn't an unfamiliar sight. But within the span of like 15 minutes, the wildlife around us got very confused because it started to get darker. The temperature dropped like 15° immediately. It looked like dusk and all the animals were like making noise cuz they're they were confused. They're like, "Oh my god, am I supposed to be going to bed? I need to do my nightly routine." The woodpecker was like

Introduction

like everybody was the father goose like ran back to his wife in the pond to give her some reprieve for we were all like my mom had her binoculars out. We were observing all the wildlife. I'm dying. The that this It's part of it. It's part of the total eclipse experience. but the narrative you are getting it is top-notch, Karen. Yeah. It was wild though. Like flocks and flocks of birds like panic flying to wherever they were supposed to be at night. And so they were all confused and

3:00

this happened within like 5 minutes of like all of the wildlife making so much noise and then it just gets dark enough that it's quiet. Oh my gosh. And it's p.m. And through your glasses, it's completely black. You can't see anything, which means you have to take your glasses off and that's the time that you can look up at the sky. It literally felt like I was in a sci-fi movie. Like this didn't feel like Earth, which is why it was so wild. Like I'm literally I'm getting chills and my nipples just got hard, which is why I'm trying to cover them now. I mean like you can see pictures, but there's something about seeing it with your naked eye and being like, "Holy [ __ ] that is in the sky." My dad was like suddenly thinking about his mortality. He was like, "I'm going to be dead next time that there's a total eclipse." I I heard his little commentary on your video that you posted. Yeah. He was like swishing his whiskey. He had an eclipse whiskey. It was a special occasion. But it was so crazy. And also the other thing that was so magical was everyone

4:00

was outside. So we were in our neighborhood and there were hordes and hordes of people who like every single person was outside in their yard. And not only that, they were hosting other people who came up to their house. And then all of the fields had like people who just posted up in the fields who drove to be able to see it. And everyone as it's happening everyone's cheering. Everyone's going, "Oh my god!" Like it felt like a vacuum sealed too for sound cuz like all the wildlife went quiet. We're all just looking up and you can just hear all the humans, like hundreds of humans just being like, "Wow, this is the coolest thing ever." Someone's lighting off fireworks. People are cheersing. It was so sick. It was Oh my god, it was awesome. I loved it. so cool. Yeah. See, this is one of those things that like I 100% I love the way that humanity comes together to observe something and it feels so pure. Everything that you just explained is like the human experience at its core and it is the most beautiful thing in the world. But I

5:00

also just like imagining alien creatures watching us watch something, I'm just picturing what their perspective is because I think about how we all go, you know, down to the water to watch the sunset every day and it's just we're a little bit predictable as a human species, but I kind of love it. I know. We all have our little routines that we like. We all have our little things that we get together. Like I always think about that when we're at concerts cuz I'm like how goofy that all of us just get together to like watch one or like five people just like be up on a stage and kind of like move their body around and make noises out of their mouths. And we're like, "Yeah!" It's just such a weird form of entertainment. But yeah. Okay, I will say I need to do some research on this cuz this is only the next day and it's 10:15 a.m., but I am quite tired at the time of recording, cuz it did take us 7 hours to drive the 3 hours. Oh my gosh. So, it was pretty brutal in terms of traffic. We got home super late. They do say weird things happen during

6:00

the eclipse and traffic might be one of them. I think the population in Vermont like tripled or something. It was just It was ridiculous. Like there were just so many people on the road. Oh my god, and then when we stopped to get food, a baby waved at me and her mom was like, "She's never waved before. This is her first wave." And Brian and I were so excited to be waving at this random baby in the Mo's in West Lebanon. I wonder if Wait, okay, this is like so conspiracy invisible string of me, but like what if that baby is connected to your baby in some way and invisible string-wise they're going to cross paths again later. Yeah, and something with the eclipse. I don't think that's weird at all, because my response was weird, because she was like, "Oh my god, she's never waved before. She's waving at you." And I said, "She's not waving at me. She's waving at my baby." So, I was already being weird about it. first thought. Okay, we're on the same page. No, so well. Okay, but what I was going to say was there were some weird things

7:00

that did happen with the eclipse that me and my dad were like, "What the [ __ ] is going on?" One, our cell phones took I couldn't register that the eclipse was actually happening until until the total eclipse happened. Like you couldn't zoom in and see like any chunks even when it was like like such a little crescent of sunlight, our phones would still correct to make it a full-size sun, like a full ball. That's so weird. It was weird. And then I was like, "Okay, maybe this is just like a techy Apple thing, you know, like it's filling in the gaps, it's filling in the blanks or whatever." I don't know if that's how cameras work, though. So much sunlight maybe that it just like It was weird. We were all like, "What the hell?" And all four of us like both my parents, me and Brian were trying and we were like, "This is weird. We like can't capture any of the eclipse. So shocked I was able to do what I was able to do like at the total eclipse. And then when there was the total eclipse, I wonder if I can zoom in right now on one of the videos and if you can see. I don't know if we were literally watching a solar flare or what, but there was like a little orangey shoot that like

8:00

came out the bottom part of the sun. And it was there the whole time. You can't totally see it in this video that I took. It is if I do like this one still. It's not a good example at all, but let me let me zoom up and throw my phone at the camera. But like if we're looking at it like this. I like how the bottom is that's like such a sick zoom in. There was a little like orangey tail right here. And that's when I introduced my dad to the idea that we live in a simulation and then he was like, "Oh, okay. I understand everything that's happening now." That was the first time he's been introduced to that theory? I guess so. I was like, "Well, of course it's a full sun. Of course there's like some random [ __ ] coming off the sun. It's not a solar flare. It's not technology. We live in a simulation, Dad." And he was like, "Oh, yeah, that does make sense." That makes sense to me. He was quick to accept it. A little too quick. Honestly, I think like I accept life a little bit more if it is a simulation.

9:00

Mhm. It's kind of an excuse, right? There's less pressure on living or trying to understand why things are the way they are. It's just kind of like, "Okay." Okay. Sometimes you can be curious and other times you can just be like, "It's just the way we were coded, I guess, today." I am curious if other people experienced anything strange during the eclipse cuz I cannot and I will never forget the sex with face story. I feel like things like this happen all over the place. Probably so many paranormal Was it a total eclipse there? I do think it was a total eclipse. Yeah. Weird things happen. Weird things happen. So let us know if anything weird happened to you during the eclipse. I know that this is coming out many many months later, but maybe this will trigger a memory for you and you'll be like, "Oh my gosh, I forgot to tell them. I forgot to tell the ghouls. I got to write in." Um which actually is a great reminder that right now, up front, if you have any ghost story, you can email it to us. Anything strange, odd, unusual. If you just want

10:00

to tell us like what you did for the total eclipse, you can email it to us at twogirlsoneghostpodcast@gmail.com. You can also join us on campfire stories every Tuesday night, which is on Patreon. We have one tier on Patreon. It's $5 a month. And every Tuesday we go live and have campfire stories where you can come up live and tell us your ghost story. It's on video, so you can see everyone, but you can also turn your video off and just do audio, whatever you want. There's a chat and everyone's like interacting and it's really really really fun. Basically, give us your souls in the form of ghost stories. But, you're not really giving it to us. We're all just kind of holding hands as souls in a circle telling ghost stories. And enjoying it. Yeah, and getting lost in it. you just triggered for me something that maybe I didn't realize could have been something peculiar. I guess just like pregnancy-wise, so there's all these superstitions with the eclipse in different cultures that if pregnant people are not supposed to be outside at all the day of the eclipse and you're supposed to pin like a red ribbon to your You're supposed to like wear red in some way, like a little red brooch or

11:00

put like a red ribbon around to your belly or something to protect yourself if you have to go outside. Is it like supposed to be like a stealing the baby type of thing from your womb? just I think like affect the baby in negative ways in terms of its development. I didn't do any of that, but I guess you're making me realize that my baby was awake like the whole day because normally like they sleep, they're awake, they sleep, they're awake. Yeah. Get punched every what? 20 to 40 minutes or whatever. The entire day was like Interesting. the clips did something. It kind of like pulled the weight of the womb. Baby is a creepy kid, we know that. Yeah. What creepy things are you going to tell us today? Well, I picked Okay, so we're living in September when this episode comes out. And so I was thinking about how, you know, like September is really, I guess more like mid to end of September is when the haunted houses start opening. Mhm. And people start doing like haunted corn mazes and all of these like creepy little attractions.

12:00

Yeah. And there's always all these articles about like the creepiest haunted house or the sketchiest haunted house and like you did The McKamey McKamey McKamey McKamey Manor? McKamey Manor. Yeah. Yes, you did it in episode 239 and it was honestly pretty disturbing. About this potential quote-unquote haunted house that might Torture house. torture house. Yeah. Yes. And so I was just kind of looking on the web about places that have this sort of reputation and I came upon a house. It's a bit of a creepypasta, if you will, Oh. but it's still amazing. Okay. And it is the most haunted house and there's a lot of like legend and lore now kind of spitting off of it, similar to Slender Man. And it's a house that I would like to discuss because should you ever find yourself inspired to go to this house if it pops up near you, you definitely should think twice. Ooh. This is a trigger warning for violence

13:00

and graphic descriptions of dead bodies. Oh [ __ ] okay, cool. Yep, we're getting right into it. Happy spooky season everyone. Woo! The clips were great. We love humans and magic and life and now let's talk about death. body. horrible that could happen to you if you walk into the wrong home. Oh my gosh. This is the No End House. Okay, can I just give you my prediction about this because just based on the name, I'm imagining a combination of the backrooms meets the 11 mile game meets like lost time. It doesn't really exist. How interesting you say all that. Perhaps this is the most predictable story after all. We've been doing this for far too long. We I know. We recognize the patterns. Yeah. Okay, so it's said that the No End House got its name because no one has ever made it to the end. So you see no end. Although we're going to learn that some of Sabrina's predictions right here are probably more appropriate for why it's

14:00

named the No End House. I feel like that's that's like such a lore with all haunted houses, even like the real ones, like the non-creepypasta ones. Like there's like the 13th floor or there's one in Pennsylvania that's like no one's ever made it to the top floor. Everyone like chickens out and gets scared. Right. I think that's a lot of build-up and great marketing on these haunted houses. Yeah. Perhaps. And it's also I feel like there's so much build-up to those particular houses because almost every single one of them requires you to go in alone. Yes. So there's already that sense of fear of like what will happen. You're alone. There's no one to lean on. There's no friend to like hold the hand up and be like, "Wow, this is really creepy, isn't it?" You're by yourself. So at the No End House, there are nine rooms to get through. And if you do get through all nine rooms, you will receive $500 in cash. So there is a prize. There is some incentive. Although I'm not sure $500 is worth it. Yeah. But it's enough to get people to go, right? Like people are intrigued. But if you're thinking like, "Oh my gosh, 500 bucks, like I

15:00

could use it. I definitely I'm super brave. I could easily get through nine rooms. Watch me conquer this house." Good luck finding it because this house is not just one that's advertised online for you to go find. It's a word-of-mouth house and it travels. It just randomly pops up and no No knows how it pops up, who has set it up, who runs it. It just randomly appears. It would be fun to like be on the paranormal team that moves this house around. I yeah, definitely. I mean, it's kind of circus vibes, right? Because like circuses, like they notoriously pop up overnight, too, right? Like they construct things so quickly. And then they leave before you know it, and that's exactly what the No End House does. It pops up, it stays just long enough to terrorize the population figures out that it's there, all the locals, and then it dips, never to be seen in that area again. Well, this makes me also think that so many people accidentally stumble upon it. And it's it's kind of like the house

16:00

in the woods. Ooh, what's this? I'm curious. And then, uh-oh, you didn't realize what you walked into, and now there's no way out. Right. I am curious who the first person in the area is to go into the house, because it does seem like a lot of it's word of mouth for who figures out it's there. But then I thought no one makes it through. So, how do they get out and tell people Well, because you're assuming you're trapped like the backrooms and you die. Oh, okay, you can tap out. Like, you can leave? Maybe. Okay. There's some open-ended questions we'll have at the end of this. So, the original story, it was published by Brian Russell over a decade ago, and it now exists on the Creepypasta websites and stuff like that. And all begins with two friends named David Williams and Peter Terry. David and Peter, they met through college. So, they're really good college buddies, but now college they're adults like us, but unlike us, they started to kind of lose contact because Peter, unfortunately, after college, he he really did kind of struggle with some addiction issues, and

17:00

it kind of like really took a toll on him. He dropped out of college after his sophomore year, so they really only spent like 2 years together, but David was trying to kind of maintain this friendship with Peter. And one of the things that they would do was they would, you know, this happened over a decade ago, so this was this was like when we were in middle school. Like it was AIM days that this was happening. Okay. So, they would chat on AIM semi-frequently, like every week, you know, cuz everyone was addicted to AIM. We were always on it. You remember the message? Everyone knows like the the door sound when you log back in, you know someone's there. They would kind of like connect through that still, but there was a moment, basically like a 5-week stretch where David did not see Peter log on to AIM at all, and he was kind of worried because he was like, "Oh my god, you know, Peter's been like really struggling with addiction. Perhaps something bad happened to him, or he's like in this really horrible bender." Right. And so, after 5 weeks, when David is sitting there and he's logged on to AIM,

18:00

Peter's name, the door opens, and Peter has logged into AIM. This is such a good like beginning to a creepy story. This whole thing could easily be a movie, too. Like it's so good. It could be fleshed out so much more. So, David immediately is like, "Oh, I should reach out to Peter." He goes to send him a message, but before he can even click on to Peter's name, immediately he receives a message from Peter, and it reads, "David, man, we need to talk." And David doesn't know what he's going to say. Right. then goes on this whole spiel about this haunted house that he went to called the No End House, and it's right outside of the city. It's really not that far from David's house, and he It's not like he was encouraging David to go, but he was like, "Nobody reaches the exit. I couldn't reach the exit." And he's just kind of going on and on about like the chaos that ensued in this house and how it's such a like mindfuck, and it really [ __ ] him up, and it's just way too much for anyone. How could anyone ever like survive this house mentally, physically? Just saying all these things

19:00

that's intriguing enough to David without giving him like real hard evidence of what happens in the house. This is reminding me of Us, cuz in the beginning of the movie Us, she goes into the fun house, and then when she leaves like all the weird stuff starts to happen and Yeah. it almost as if the people who leave leave with a different darker soul and now are obligate like almost become the speakers of the house. Right. Yeah, they're like doing the work over a long period of time for the house and to like kind of provide it more like a another meal of a person to come through. Yeah. Ooh. Ah, I'm cold. My gosh. It It gets worse. Okay. So, Peter's saying all this stuff and David's responding to him cuz it's like one of his friends and he's intrigued enough but he's also like Peter he's on drugs like we know that he has an issue and clearly that issue maybe has gotten a lot worse and he like was on a bender

20:00

and he was tripping his balls off and maybe he still is. So, David's a little bit skeptical of what is happening but he's just kind of like appeasing Peter having the conversation but then Peter's like, "Hey, you really like if you have any curiosity about the house, it's 4 miles from where you live. Here's the location. They say that if you get through the end, you could win $500." So again, David's like, "I don't know. I feel like this is just all one big like psychotic break maybe for this poor guy." But the next day, he's thinking about it a little bit more and he's like, "Maybe I should check this out. Maybe I should see what Peter was talking about." And he finds himself in front of that building at that address that Peter gave him. I don't like this. I know. Well, and neither did David cuz immediately he's feeling extremely uneasy. He's feeling like maybe he shouldn't be there. Everything in his body is like turn around, walk back to your car, don't go in this building. Run. Yeah. Right. Yeah, his body's fighting him as he's walking up. So, he gets to the door

21:00

and he opens it and clearly he feels in this moment that all the nervousness, all the anxiety it was just his his nerves building up from the comments that Peter had made. Because David's now in the lobby and it looks like a regular hotel lobby basically set up for Halloween. There's nobody there at the front desk to greet him, no paperwork to sign, no other humans waiting in line or attempting to go through the house. He like can't hear anything. It just kind of seems like this I don't know, like kind of an unsuccessful haunted house, right? Like someone set something up, they put in all the effort to plan it, but then they don't have an employee show up to run the house and like nobody's heard of it, so nobody's there, sort of thing. So David's like, "Oh, this was all a bit of an overreaction." And he sees that there's a sign on a door in the lobby that says, "Room one this way, eight more to follow, reach the end and you win." So it's like, "Okay, this is a self-guided Why does it feel like a hospital? It kind of does. It's a self-guided haunted house tour, apparently. Well, I guess they kind of all are, but normally

22:00

you check in. That's like even more ominous that no one's there. And it's like outside of the city, too. I'm also picturing like there's no sound. Like because if you imagine a traditional haunted house, there's so much noise happening. There's so much like you can even like hear the ambiance or like there's something happening because or there's screams because people are going through it and there's actors and there's all this energy around it. But the fact that this is so silent, I'm like again, alarm bells are ringing. Right. He doesn't hear anyone, he doesn't see anyone. It's this quiet little lobby, but he approaches that door into room one and he pushes it and he enters the very first room. And this is when he knows that Peter was for sure tripping because the room is basically Spirit Halloween. Like it is just filled with animatronic zombies, sheet ghosts, fake spider webs. Like it's basically like taking everything from like the Walmart or Spirit Halloween section of Interesting. and just like kind of putting it

23:00

together. Like it feels like a very like kids' Halloween decor display, but there's no music. It's still quiet, and all these things are just kind of like, you know, moving and going. It's the sound of the motors. It's a really shitty, low-budget Halloween haunted house, right? I think the lights were on. Like there was nothing spooky about this first room. But his instincts are still still sending alarm bells. Not in this room, no. Oh, not in this room. No. He was really nervous getting up to the haunted house, and then he was like, once he was inside, he was like, "Okay, maybe I was just overreacting." Goes into the first room, and he's like, "Psh, whatever Peter was on was clearly something strong, because these are not real monsters. These are animatronic zombies." Which is also such an interesting tactic to go to like the whole house exterior-wise has such a bad vibe. It's unsettling, and then you go into room one, and immediately your guard drops, which is such a good tactic to then terrify someone. It is, and I feel like that kind of consistently happens throughout different rooms, where it's like you think you have reprieve, and then you're

24:00

in for worse. Okay. So, David doesn't know that at this point. So, he walks across the room. He just waltzes through, you know, steps over all the animatronics and random plushy Halloween spiders. And he enters room two. And in room two, they up the ante a little bit. There's a fog machine. There's a rubber bat that's hanging from the ceiling, and it's it's motorized. It's one of those ones that, you know, like just flies in a circle. And this room does have music. There's a Halloween soundtrack that's playing some eerie music, you know, like the You know, like all that sort of thing. Mhm. And David steps over some rubber rats, and he moves to the door to enter door number three. And he's like, "Wow, clearly this haunted house was made for children, not for adult men like me." Macho adult men like me. Ooh, tough guy. Me strong. And David's hand is on the doorknob, and the calm that had returned to his body after he had entered the lobby and through the first two rooms, that calm is now gone. Because he enters the third

25:00

room, and he sees in the middle of the floor there is a chair, and in the corner a single lamp. It's odd, but it's not terrifying. But it's odd, and it's very different from the first two rooms, right? So, like he's starting to be on guard. This is turning into Saw now. It totally does feel like that. The thing that really creeped David out was that there's a single lamp. So, if there's a single light source, it should cast one shadow. Right. Oh gosh. And there are shadows dancing all over the room, everywhere. And it's really, really creepy, and it like is totally making him start to like wig out and question what's happening, because he can't see any projectors or any sort of other tools that could be used to like kind of fake this sort of thing in the room. Mhm. So, he is freaked out. But he's like, okay, maybe this is just an optical illusion. But because it's so different from the first and second rooms, David is starting to kind of question, like should I really be here? Should I be doing this alone? So, he decides $500 is not worth it. Let's just turn around at the third room. No one would ever know

26:00

that he quit. Like who cares that he quit? Whatever. So, he turns around. He grabs the doorknob to reenter door number two and backtrack, but the door is locked from the other side. So, he's now stuck. He can only move forward. He turns back around to face the room, and all of the shadows that he just seen are now gone. So, he's like, maybe I imagined it. Maybe my eyes were just adjusting to the light. Maybe it was an optical illusion that maybe was intentional or or whatnot. But like now it's fine. Now it's just a chair and a single lamp in the corner. You know what I'm kind of picturing? I'm kind of imagining that like in order for Peter to leave, and this is kind of like It Follows Me, which I know you love, so I'm doing that reference for you. I'm kind of imagining that in order for Peter to leave, he had to write down a friend's name. Like he had to almost offer something to the house and be like "I will give you someone else. Just let me go." But has to detail all of the things that Is it David?

27:00

Yeah, David. that David is scared of, that will be horrifying for David. So basically giving the house a a leg up for when David does get there. Right. Yeah, that is creepy. Because I think we both know in this story, too, like the house is alive. Like it's own sort of entity. monster house. Yeah. It's a monster house. So David, he walks through the room and nothing else happens. So then he gets halfway through. He looks around again cuz he's nervous, you know, he's like near the chair. So it's like what's going to happen in this room? And as he's in the middle, he realizes he himself has no shadow. So now there's not a bunch of shadows being cast, but more of the absence of any shadows at all, including his own. So he's like, "How the [ __ ] could they make this happen?" Because he's a moving object. It's not like there could be some trickery from what's just set up around the room. So he more briskly walks to the other side and he pushes through the door labeled room

28:00

four. He enters and the door closes behind him and not an ounce of light seeps through from room three into room four. The door closes and he's now standing in complete darkness. Like not a single light source. Like nothing glowing a little bit like complete darkness. Cannot see. He's in a void. Ugh. There's no sound in the room, either. It almost feels like it's vacuum sealed. And all David can hear is just his own heavy breaths. So he stretches out his hand in front of him and he very slowly feels around the room. And he can't find the door, so he begins to panic. Like as he's gliding his hand, there's no cracks. Like nothing that would indicate that there's another door, any way out. And so he falls down to the ground and he's there on his hands and knees, and there's this low hum that fills the empty space. So now there is a sound. And he suddenly feels like there's a presence in the room with him, but it's completely black, so he can't see anyone.

29:00

Oh, that is awful. Yeah. He gets back to his feet, and he feels the presence lurk a little bit closer to him. He then takes a step back, but he can't see anything. He doesn't know where he is in the room, and he does not know where the other person or thing is in the room. And suddenly there's a flash. Like it's like a strobe light for him to be able to like kind of see the room for a second. And with that, it lit up the entire room, and there is nobody in the room with him. Yet he feels like there's a presence there. He's then plunged into darkness again, and the humming noise is now so loud, it basically is vibrating the room. But he did see a door when the light flashed. And so he inches in that direction that he had seen the door, and his hand makes contact with the doorknob, and he enters room five. So he made it through the trippy, dark, strobe light room that was humming, and now he's entering room five. And he's like, "Okay, this house, each room is clearly trying to be really trippy, trying to play on my senses." Like I understand

30:00

now why Peter was so freaked out because it is really disorienting whether you might have gone in on acid or not, you know? Right. Okay, but this is now five of nine. So the first four are yes, they're scary and they're trippy, but it does seem relatively easy to get from the entrance of the room to the exit of the room. It's not like you're stuck there having to experience something in the room. Like you could, hypothetically, you could enter and run quickly to the other door. I'm imagining a smaller

Ghost Story

room, but do these rooms get longer and longer, or does it get harder to get to the door? I'm curious. Yeah. Well, and I think David was curious, too, because I think at point he's starting to think about Peter's experience and what Peter had told him about the house. And he's also like, wait a second. Peter said nobody's ever gone to the end and he himself didn't get to the end, but how does no one get to the end if you can't leave through the door behind you? Wouldn't everyone have to exit through the end?

31:00

So, he's a little confused about how this all works. Me, too. But, his eyes are adjusting to room number five. It's light. It's bright. His eyes gaze up to the ceiling and there are trees in this room. This is not an ordinary sized room that he'd been in before. This is not like an office space or just like a house a normal size like bedroom or living room. This is like an atrium, like a hotel lobby that has multiple stories. And these trees are old. They've grown there for a long time. It reminds me of where we went to college at LMU. It feels like I'm imagining the height of U-Haul, University Hall. Oh. This is interesting because it's defying the physics of what the place looked like on the exterior. Okay. Mhm. And so, the there's not only trees, but there's like brush there. Like it's like this room wasn't set up to look like a jungle room, but actually was basically just like a conservatory atrium of some kind that already existed there. But, he's like, okay, well, how does that make any sense because this

32:00

isn't just some big hotel and I entered the lobby and this is the center of it that I couldn't see. From the outside, this very much just looked like a house. It's not big enough nor tall enough for this room to exist in it. Right. And I'm sure he's processing all of this very quickly and then and then I'm sure you're about to tell us that more things are coming at him. So, it's Yeah. it's hard for the brain to fully comprehend what's happening. Totally. And before in the other rooms, even the dark room that he had just come from, when there was that flash of light, he could spot the door. In this room, he cannot see any doors because there's so much vegetation in the way that it is like kind of traversing through a jungle. Mhm. And so he's like, "Okay, well, at least there's no bad feeling in here. There's no weird humming or darkness or weird animatronics just kind of wiggling across the floor." So he walks to the center and he notes that there are either animals in here or there's a soundtrack playing that makes it seem like there are animals cuz he can hear

33:00

flapping bird wings. He can hear insects, that sort of thing. It kind of makes me think of Jurassic Park. It does. Or this one made me think of The Hunger Games where they're in the clock section and there's like the tracker jackets or whatever they're called. Tracker trackers? Yeah. It reminds me of that a little bit too cuz it's like you sense something's there but you can't see it until it feels like it's too late. So David's walking around for a few minutes and then he sees the first sign of an actual animal and it's not really some large animal to fear but instead a nuisance. It's a mosquito and it lands on his arm. And then all of a sudden there's 10 more mosquitoes that land on his arm. And he's now flailing and he's trying to prevent them from getting all over him and eating him alive and they just keep crawling all over him and he's starting to like really bug out so he drops to the floor and he screams and he can literally feel them like all over him biting him, crawling on him. He winces as they sting into his skin. Oh, this is also like Harry Potter and

34:00

the Sorcerer's Stone where he's like down in the dungeon and going through all these little secret rooms to get to the final room. And it is very Harry Potter-esque because as is with magic and magical beings, there are no bugs actually on David. As he's looking down and he's feeling them crawl all over him and like infest his body, there's literally nothing. And so he's now crawling on the floor. His skin is wriggling and he thought that maybe the bugs had been on him but they're not. So he's like, "Okay, I'm just like really creeped out. I'm getting the heebie-jeebies from having Yeah. some bugs on me maybe. And so he's like, "Let me just crawl to the other side of the room to get to room six." But this room feels like it is taking forever. He is in there for a very long time, or it feels that way. So he's exhausted by the time he gets to the other side, and he finds the door that says room six. Before he opens it, that low hum that he had heard in room number three, it's now returned. It's

35:00

deeper and it's lower this time. He can feel it in his body immediately. It feels like a warning, like something's hunting him. But David knew that he could not turn around and try to go back through that previous door. One, because most likely it would have been locked. And two, because bugs. And three, because the room was so freaking long, he's exhausted and he can't possibly try to traverse through that giant room again. So he's like, "Whatever this thing is that's lurking here, I think I just have to keep moving on and test my luck here, try my luck." So he presses through the next door, and the door clicks behind him, and the hum immediately stops. No more noise. He looks back to the door, and the door is no longer there. So the door he quite literally just walked through and it clicked behind him. He turns back because he's like, "Oh, there's no humming." So he, you know, just naturally turns to where that ceased to happen, and there's nothing. Smooth wall. He's inside the room. He turns and he looks, and there is a chair and a lamp,

36:00

just like in the other room. Mhm. Was that room three as well? That was room three. Okay. Yeah. Which is where the humming was. Room four was completely dark with the like strobe light. Okay. Yeah. Room five was the jungle. We're now in room six, which just like room three, a chair and a lamp. But there's no door, there's no exit. In the lore, are the rooms the same for every person? Like did Peter experience it the exact same way, or do they change per person? We don't know because the description that Peter had given David wasn't really descriptive. He was just saying like no one no one can mentally get out of like it's it's chaos. Like who could possibly survive that all nine rooms. So David is like [ __ ] I am trapped. He starts to drag his hands along the wall and scratch slightly for like some form of hidden door from where he just came in cuz like there has to be a door there. It can't just be normal wall. How would that ever happen? He just walked through it. So he's kind of frantically

37:00

scratching around like how the hell did they conceal the door that I was just coming through and he cannot feel anything. And he's really not feeling confident about finding the next door cuz he can't see it and if he can't feel the door that he just came through how's he ever going to find the door that he's supposed to leave through? So he's frantic now. And he is falling to his knees. He's scratching at the wall and door like he's in a having a full on panic attack. And then suddenly in the room that he thought he was alone in a voice calls out and they say, "Are you all right?" And David jumps and he turns around and he finds he's no longer alone but there's a little girl in front of him. She's wearing a soft white dress and the dress went down to her ankles. Her eyes are blue, her hair is blonde. David immediately feels creeped out and horrified by this little girl. It looks like a little girl but he knows that it is not a little girl. And as soon as he kind of makes that connection in his brain, she's standing there the little girl looking at him and David suddenly

38:00

starts to it's almost like seeing a projector throw two images on top of one another because the little girl is now transforming into a man covered in fur, hooves for feet, and an inhuman head that was similar to kind of like a mix of a wolf or a ram. So David's like, "I am looking at the devil." And it keeps the image keeps going from from this devilish hooved figure to the little girl, like back and forth, back and forth. what's wild is that I was truly just thinking about this is the type of thing that the devil would create in order for someone to sell their soul to to him because Mhm. if you make it so impossible and so terrifying to get out, it's like, well, I actually have a way out for you. You put them at their lowest possible, like where they're desperate, you give me your soul and I'll let you out. And then also this is reiterating your fear of little ghost girls. It's kind of reminding me of I'm only halfway through the book, but The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Oh, I love that. Yes. presence that keeps coming back and kind

39:00

of taunting her. So, David's terrified. All of the air, all of the breath that he had in his lungs is now sucked out and he could not understand what he was seeing. So, he just stood there staring at this entity. The thing spoke out again. David, you should have listened. The words audibly came from the little girl, but the same words spoken and processed in David's mind were much deeper and much more sinister. It was like a growl almost. So, David, he collapses. Did he just faint? He's not sure, but it's freaking terrifying. So, when he kind of like comes to, he's on the ground, he's on his side, and his eyes are now focusing. So, like the guy definitely did faint. His eyes are focusing and he sees something scurrying across the floor. It's one of those rubber animatronic rats from the second room. So, he's like, wait a second, this is just a haunted house. I'm There's projectors, there's different technology, like they're trying to freak me out, but like this is a reminder that it's just a haunted house. There's just

40:00

a rubber toy. I'm letting things get to me and my mind is like kind of running wild. sad the way that he's trying to process this like horrific experience. Yeah. Wouldn't you though? It's also you go through it. It's human. Yeah, you have to, but it's sad to to see and hear that this is this is like a brain actively currently in trauma trying to work itself out of the trauma. Right. Right, trying to survive. Just yeah, survive. That's a good way to put it. Yes. So, David gets up and he swallows his fear and he continues searching for the door. The demon's voice continues to speak and to taunt him and he can literally feel the breath of the demon down his neck. But, he keeps his back to it. He refuses to turn and look at the little girl / child demon figure and he just continues to feel on the walls for an exit. And that is when he spots a number seven scratched into the wall. He

41:00

was like, that has to be the door. Mhm. So, he was kind of confused because he'd already scanned the room and he didn't see a scratched number seven before, but this has appeared. And David kind of has the thought of he's still trying to work out like what he's experiencing and he's like, did I just create this door myself in my own mind cuz this wasn't here a moment ago? But, then he's also starting to question because like the previous room took him so long to get through. This room he had collapsed in and woke up. He's like, did I scratch the seven into the door myself? Oh. Oh, that's so scary. Yeah, he's really starting to have difficulty holding onto his sense of reality in these rooms. Right. And how could you? How could you? So, he closes his eyes and he feels the hot breath of the demon on his neck and he pushes his hands on the number seven and nothing happens. He pushes harder. He's now using all of his force and he's shoving the door and the demon is now screaming in his ear. It's so close behind him. That David's never going to

42:00

leave. He's never going to get out. And David just screams. He's horrified. He lets out a giant scream and with that the room goes quiet. No more demon voice. Nothing. The door no longer is a wall scratched with the number seven, but in front of him is just a regular door with a seven painted on it. It opens and David leaps through it. Yeah, but it's like uh going into the seventh room, it's uh gosh. I know. This is just horrible. There's no good coming from any of this. And the number seven, too. I always feel like that's going to be one of the worst rooms, right? Because it's You're so close to the end, but you're not there. Yeah. And the number seven, too. I just feel like people play on that a bit. So, David's in room seven and he's now visibly shaking. Those first two rooms, they gave no indication of what mindfuck this haunted house would bring him, but he's here now and there's seemingly no way backwards, so he has to move forward. David scans the room, but there

43:00

is no room. He's realizing that room seven is not a room at all, but in fact, he's now standing outside. He's outside of the building. He's outside of the house. The door behind him was the entrance that he had come in. But I don't trust this at all. Good instinct, Sabrina. So, he David doesn't know. He's just happy to be out, right? Like no one makes it to the end. Right. Maybe it's cuz no one made it this far and they just never even made the extra rooms. And David made it out, so he's out of the haunted house. He's crying with relief and he is walking back to his car. He gets in his car and he's like cry-laughing the whole way home and he's just thinking about how he could get to his bed. He'll have a nice shower and crawl in and sleep and just be like, "What the [ __ ] was that?" And the next day he's going to be back to normal. But as he pulls up to his house, that dreadful feeling that once consumed him when walking towards the No End House is back. David brushes it off, clearly still shaken from the experience, and he goes up to his room and his cat

44:00

Baskerville is sitting there on the bed. So, David reaches out to his pet to give him a some some scratchies and Baskerville rejects him, which is so out of the ordinary. But Baskerville is hissing at him, he's swiping at him, and David is like, "That's super out of character. I don't know what that's about." But he's like, "Whatever." So, he goes, he showers, and then he starts to go down the stairs again to go to the kitchen to grab something to eat. As he descends the stairs and he turns into his family room, he sees his parents. They're lying on the floor naked, their bodies mutilated. Limbs removed and placed next to their bodies, heads placed on their chests facing the entrance to the living room, facing David, their mouths smiling. David vomits. And for everything that he can understand, this is real life. Right. is witnessing that his parents came over to his house cuz they didn't live with him. Right. must have come over for some reason, and

45:00

they were brutally brutally murdered in his home when he was gone. So, he's vomiting, he's choking on his sobs. This is the most traumatizing thing he could have ever imagined, and it's right in front of him, and he's again alone. And he's super confused why they came, who did this, is there a Is the person still in the house? Like, what's going on? To me, this almost feels like the reason Peter was able to message David was like, Peter was actually in room seven when he messaged David. And that like Oh, interesting. is this never-ending The reason no one gets out is because room seven is now part of your reality. Like, it follows you into your living life. Yeah, and that's why he was trapped for like 5 weeks. It took him 5 weeks to be able to figure out how to like actually contact anyone. Or are room eight and nine like the afterlife? Like, you have to go through things when you're dead. Yeah. This is weirdly reminding me of the most recent Jumanji movie. Cuz in it, like, they go into the they

46:00

They into the like video console game, so they're like playing as the video characters. And Nick Jonas is a character that has been like trapped in there for quite a while, and they like they team up. Okay, maybe I have seen this actually. I don't remember. Yeah. Is The Rock in it? Yeah. He is. Okay, I have. So, David's beside himself, obviously, as anyone would be. He's about to probably enter shock, but then he sees it. A door that has never existed in his house before with a large number eight drawn on it in blood. He wasn't home. He never made it out of that house. He was in room seven. David vomits again, and that hum, that vibration, it returns. It's louder than ever before, and it's pushing him forward towards the bloody door. He's almost to the door when the dismembered hands of his parents come back to life, and they scamper across the floor toward him. His parents' faces are still pointing at him, so they're moving with him as he's going across the room, and they're smiling wider and wider, and

47:00

their mouths begin to move, and they open as if they're about to say something. And David is like, "Hell no will I ever let myself hear whatever they're trying to make my parents say." Especially because he's thinking, "It'll probably be in their voices." Like, this is going to traumatize him even more. So, he's like, "No." He lunges into room eight. The door behind him closes. A single chair, a single chair. No. No. I just gave myself like the creeps. I wonder what happens if you sit in the chair. Well, there's someone sitting in the chair this time. Oh, [ __ ] There's a man, and that man looked exactly like David. It was his doppelganger. Like, two with nothing different about this man. Cool. Cool. So, David walks closer to the man in the chair, closer to himself, and the doppelganger looks up with tears in his eyes and pleads, "Please. Please don't do it. Please don't hurt me." And David says, "What? Who are you? I'm not not to hurt you." "Yes, you are. You're going to hurt me and I don't want you to. And the man is

48:00

now rocking back and forth sobbing as he's saying this to David. You know what this reminds me of? There's a movie, I think it's an A24 movie. Let me look it up real quick. It's super weird. Oh, Infinity Pool. Infinity Pool? Never heard of it. It's super freaking weird, but basically I don't want to ruin anything, so I won't. But basically it's these like really rich people and they get in trouble and they instead of them being punished, they pay to get their bodies cloned and then the clones are punished. Oh, weird. It's really [ __ ] weird. Wait, it's like that other movie, oh my god, what is it? I can't remember, but it's Paul Rudd and it's like you pay TV show. The Netflix one. Right. Like the premise of it is Paul Rudd lives in a world where like you can pay a lot of money to get yourself cloned and the new version of you is better in like every way. Living With Yourself. Yeah, Living With Yourself. And the old version of you is supposed to be killed and your consciousness put in the new

49:00

body, but that doesn't happen to Paul Rudd in this and he's alive with the better version of himself. Right. Well, so the whole concept of this movie is like how at what point do you know it's you or the clone that's being killed and then they insert consciousness in the clone and all this stuff. Anyway, so this just Because if you were the clone, you'd have all of the same like the the memories implanted of your previous life. It's too trippy. I can't even. Right. I don't want to think about that. Right. And now room eight, David is facing himself and room eight, David who's sitting in the chair. What if that's real David who since the very beginning of this haunted house has actually been stuck in this chair and being tormented in the mind. Man, it's [ __ ] up. This is trippy. So David responds to the his doppelganger. He says, "Listen, who are you? Why are you" and he's interrupted because his doppelganger cries out again, "You're going to hurt me. You're going to hurt me. If you want to leave, you're going to hurt me. So, that seems like a clue, right? That means Right, you have to kill yourself.

50:00

So, David says, "Why are you saying this? Just calm down, all right? Let's try to figure this." And he stops when he realizes that his doppelganger, that looks just like him, sounds like him, is dressed just like him, has one difference. The shirt that this man is wearing, the same shirt that David himself has on, this man's shirt is embroidered with the number nine. The ninth door. You're going to hurt me. You're going to hurt me. Don't, please. You're going to hurt me. David says, "David?" "Yes, you're going to hurt me. You're going to hurt me." David now scans the room because he's like, surely I don't have to hurt a living person to get into room nine, right? But he looks and there's absolutely no indication of another door, no scratch marks with the number eight etched into it, nothing. So, he bends down and he looks underneath the chair. He's feeling under the chair for something, and he finds something. It's a knife. Uh, yep. A tag is attached to it that

51:00

reads, "To David from management." From management. From management. How is this not a movie? Right? It's so good. Someone's got to buy the rights to it. Yeah, seriously. His doppelganger is still rocking and uncontrollably sobbing. And David is sitting there with the knife in his hand and he's like, how could anyone know that I was coming here? How does management know my name? I didn't check in at the desk. I never gave my ID. There was no reservation made. How do they know who I am? And how did they know that I was coming to the point where they could find an actor who looked not just like me, but exactly like me? So, he thinks of Peter, his college buddy, who'd frantically tried to tell him about this awful haunted house and how it will [ __ ] you up. And he's like, did Peter go into this room? The doppelganger spoke again. He said, "David, what do you think you're going to do?" I don't know why I said that in the way that I said I feel like it was a little Yeah. Wow, you really your acting chops just came out. I felt No, I felt like I what's her I want a hot dog real bad. Oh, Jennifer Coolidge. I feel like I said it like that.

52:00

But he's like, "David, what do you think you're going to do?" And David looks at his doppelganger and he says, "I'm going to get out of here." The doppelganger then smiles, slowly gets up from his chair, and faces David. They're eye-to-eye, top of head to top of head, true doppelganger. The voice now changes and it's not David's voice that he's hearing from this man. It's something else and the voice says, "Now I'm going to hurt you. I'm going to hurt you and I'm going to keep you here." Without missing a beat, David tackles his doppelganger, he gets on top of him, he looks down at the face that is his own, a face that is now terrified again, and the hum returns to the room. It's louder. It's pulsing. It's all around him, closer and closer. David clenches the knife, he slams it into the chest of the man beneath him, and the room goes black, and David's now falling. His mind is reeling. He's falling. His mind is reeling with the thoughts of everything that just happened and he feels hopeless. He's suddenly consumed with the feeling of

53:00

like being lost and depression and suicidal thoughts and he just wants this to end. He wants to get out of the house even if that means dying in the process. This is actual hell. And he's still falling. He's still thinking about this stuff. He's falling and falling and falling. The feeling of falling is never ending and he's like, "Oh my god, this is what room nine is. It's just the perpetual feeling of falling in complete darkness." But then just as what had happened in the earlier room, in room four, this pitch darkness is interrupted by a flash of light. And this time the light is not like a strobe light that just comes and goes. It stays. And now he feels ground beneath his feet. He's standing. David slowly walks towards the light and when he gets to it, he realizes that the light is actually a vertical slit down the side of an unmarked door. He pushes on the door, and he's back in the lobby of the NoEnd House. So, he did make it through all nine rooms. Wait, but what was the ninth room? Was the ninth room just falling? feeling of falling. Yeah, until it just

54:00

eventually is interrupted by the the flash of light. He walked towards the light, opened the door, he's back in the lobby. Okay, so the the ninth room feels like it's not even a real room. But but most people don't even get that far. So, I don't know how, but they don't. Okay. But he's now in the lobby. Again, there's no one there. There's no one waiting to go into the room. There's nobody working there. But there is now an envelope on top of that check-in desk. And the envelope has his name written on it. So, he grabs the envelope and he slowly opens the letter stuffed inside. And it reads, "David Williams, congratulations. You made it to the end of NoEnd House. Please accept this prize as a token of great achievement. Yours forever, management." Along with it, five crisp $100 bills. So, he won the 500 bucks. David's delirious. What the [ __ ] just happened? What the hell is this place? He starts laughing. He can't stop laughing. He's like maniacally laughing now because that's all his body can even

55:00

do to react to this. So, he carries the envelope with his cash. He gets back to his car, and he's laughing the entire way home. He gets out of his car. He's laughing up his front steps. He's laughing in front of his front door. And as he's about to enter his front door, he notices that there's a scratch mark etched on his door, the number 10. Stop. Credited to Brian Russell, The NoEnd House. That's the end of the story? Yes. That is such a creepy creepypasta. Yeah, but I knew it. I knew it doesn't end. I knew I knew you never get out of this house. That like it it continues forever and ever and I guarantee it continues into the afterlife. I'm so curious how much time actually passed. Right. Like how long was he actually in there for? And like the management saying yours forever, you don't ever get out. That's the clue. That's you're stuck forever. Jeez. it is weird. It's like what was Peter's involvement? Because also was it even Peter or was it the house itself consumed Peter and then like used its

56:00

powers to like kind of web out. Because Peter went missing for five weeks and Brian had said that before he could even like it was almost impossible how quickly Peter had messaged him on AIM as soon as he signed on. It was like an instant. Like signs on is already messaging David. Yeah, that's super weird. Mhm. It did make me wonder. So this How long has McKamey Manor been around? I mean, I know Halloween and like these types of stories are a lot of people are inspired by just this type of stuff. But I I am curious like if there's any influence between these two stories, between this creepypasta and McKamey Manor. I don't remember what year opened, but I'm sure I'm sure there's like whether McKamey Manor was influenced by the story or the story was influenced by that. But also just I mean this story has so many different like horror tropes connected to it. Yeah. But it it's creepy my god it is creepy. I know. It's so good. similar to so many of those haunted

57:00

houses that claim that there is no no one gets to the 13th floor or whatever it is. it. Jeez. And it's like it's one of those things where if you get out alive, did a part of you die in there anyway? 100%. alive? Yeah. David's got a lot of therapy to go through. $500 is not worth it. And it's also yeah. Gosh. I don't like this. I hope no one goes in search of the No-End House. I know it potentially is a creepypasta that is just a made up story, but I imagine that the paranormal realm and Satan have the power to create places like this and Right. use something that humans have created to make it real and existence to make you go go through it. So, just don't go looking for it. Uh stay in your homes, never leave, and but if you do find it, tell us. If we apply everything that we had just said about this house to our current telling of this house, what if this house really does exist, but it truly is

58:00

a pop-up, and us hearing about it in this form, in the form of creepy pasta, is the equivalent of us being reached out to Oh. just as David had been reached out to by Peter via AIM. Meaning like now we might run into it and find it? Yeah. Don't go in. Do not go in. I I'm like suddenly spooking myself because I'm like, what if during normal Halloween time, we all go into what we think is a normal haunted house with a normal ticketed event, but it somehow morphs into this once we're already inside? Like we're getting like tricked into going into it. Well, this is why you don't go alone. You stay with someone, you tie ribbons, tie string to one another so you don't get separated. Mhm. And always have on you some type of protective crystal or holy water or whatever you whatever aligns with you and your practices. Yes. I feel like that was such a witchy way for you to just You came with answers. Thank you, sister witch. Call me sister witch forever. I will. Maybe that's our We can all call

each other sister witch. Sister witch. Sister witch. Sister witch. Sister. Sister. Sister witch. SISTER SISTERS. SISTERS. OKAY, WELL, I DIDN'T REALLY know what this topic was. I just saw creepy pasta, so I ended up picking a listener story that has a creepy pasta we've talked about before, the Slender Man. Great. Perfect. So, this is from our listener K and all names in the story have been changed for anonymity. But, K says, "Hi, you beautiful ghostesses. I live in a small town in Canada, but you can never be sure when it comes to this stuff, so I've changed all names. You guys are very popular out here. I've heard you read a story from Winnipeg and it hits a little close to home. I cannot not fan girl, so I'm going to start by saying you guys are amazing. I love the podcast. I was addicted from the moment I started the first episode and I'm now almost close to being caught up and honestly, I'm a little worried when I'll have to wait for new episodes.

But, if I must, I can. Okay. You can do it. We believe in you. it, K. We believe in you, sister witch, K. I grew up in a farmhouse that was over 100 years old and has been in my family for obviously a long time. There was some activity that felt pretty normal and to be honest, a little expected. My great-great-grandparents lived in the house and had four kids. One of the kids died from pneumonia in one of the corners in our living room. So, since I've lived there, there were always toys being played with or the sound of footsteps. When my brother was younger, he had a little plastic army men and tractors that would always be moving and making noises when we weren't up there. I even had an experience of going upstairs and seeing my ex-boyfriend standing in the corner between the rooms, me running over to him to hug him and then poof, no one was there. That's a story for another time. Doppelganger. Yeah. So, flash forward a couple years, I moved out and I moved to Winnipeg, found a new boyfriend and it was Christmas time, so we came home for the holidays.

1:01:00

When we stayed at my mom's house, we really didn't talk about the paranormal stuff happening to us, so we did our Christmas thing, had some drinks with everyone. There was a bonfire in the front yard, so on. It was getting closer to the morning hours and we were getting ready to head inside and go to bed. I went upstairs and I saw someone was in the bathroom. So, my boyfriend, who is now my husband, decided he would go outside cuz it's the country and he could. As he was doing his thing, he looked across the yard and across the yard we had a few old barns, some fencing that led out to a back pasture {slash} wooded area. As he was looking out, it was a bright bright moon, almost full moon, and then something got his attention. As he was standing there, I'm imagining pants down doing his business, he saw this giant man. He described him having a white face, really really tall, wearing a jacket. This man was walking from one barn to the other barn. My boyfriend got so freaked out that he came inside, ran upstairs, and told me. I calmed him down and I was like, "It's not unusual for

1:02:00

things like this to happen. I've never seen this man before, but I believed him and in the morning I was like, maybe we'll ask around and see if anyone knows anything." So, we went to bed. I don't think we ever asked anyone the next morning, we just kept it to ourselves. Plus, he was new to the family and didn't want to seem like the weird freak everyone out even though everyone in my family would totally have believed him instantly. Yeah. Anyway, moving forward again, we were at my grandparents' house one day and my grandpa had a bunch of these old photos on the table. He loved history, old pictures, anything. He was an old teacher, so it was totally his jam. So, as we're sitting around and my grandpa's showing us pictures, he put one down and my boyfriend gasped. "That's him," he said. "What?" I replied a little confused. "That's the man I saw walking at your mom's house a while back, remember?" Sure enough, we told the short story to grandpa and grandma and my grandpa mentioned that that photo was my great Uncle Tim. We just about [ __ ] our pants. I hadn't seen many things, but I felt lots of things and my boyfriend proceeded to tell me that he had so many

1:03:00

encounters with ghosts and spirits from seeing them to living in haunted houses. It blew my mind. I had no idea and it definitely gave him brownie points in my books. So, a little round back to those barns, on the one barn that my Uncle Tim had been walking from, it actually had his name carved in with nails on the side of it. He did that when he was alive as a farm boy. And so maybe Uncle Tim was just checking in to meet my boyfriend or maybe my boyfriend is simply caught him doing his own thing and just happened to see him and think, "Wow, that's creepy. He's very tall. Looks like the Slender Man." Oh my god. Could you imagine? So at least he didn't say what he'd seen to the whole family, but can you imagine being like, "I just saw the creepiest person ever. It wasn't even a person. It was like this weird-looking, too tall to be human." And they're like, "Wait, you're literally describing our relative." Yeah, literally the Slender Man. But it's Uncle Tim. Uncle Tim.

1:04:00

He's family, but still seeing someone out walking like that looks a little bit creepy and it's a wild thing to have happened to a guy, that's for sure. I have so many other stories from seeing a flash of light in the sky, a possible UFO, and doing a ghost tour in Banff, but I'll leave those for another email. Keep up the great work, hey Leia, and happy holidays. This was close to Christmas 2021. Bye for now and see you on the other side, K. So, it's not Slender Man, but it's Uncle Tim who resembled Yeah. the Slender Man. And I feel like that's what triggers so many different creepypastas, too, because it's like, what comes first, the chicken or the egg? Did you experience something that looks like the Slender Man and so you wrote a story about it? Did you Did you encounter Uncle Tim and you're like, "Do do do do do do do Slender Man." Or did you read a creepypasta and that inspired some of like the hauntings and ways that entities show themselves to you? It's one of those things. But that This is I can understand how scared her boyfriend was, but like I do think it's

1:05:00

kind of hysterical that he thought he was experiencing something so horrifying, a creature that so many or like entity that so many people have never seen, but there's so much lore surrounding. And they're like, "That's Uncle Tim and that's his favorite barn." That's his favorite barn. But also, I mean, it is creepy. You're like, late at night, by yourself, outside, going to the bathroom in, you know, a farmland. So, there's there shouldn't be anyone else around. Right. And you see a really tall man walking through the barns. I don't know. I would be freaked out. I'm curious Yeah. if he thought Slender Man at that time, yeah, like you were saying, or if now looking back, it's like it looked like Slender Man, but now we know it was Uncle Tim. All I know is I do not want to go to the No End House ever. No. Me, neither. So creepy. trapped in there. I never want to be trapped in any sort of liminal space. No. It's too creepy. I my brain can't handle it. Well, clearly David's brain couldn't handle it, either. No one's brain can handle it. That's why no one escapes.
