Sitting on a Ghost and St. Augustine Hauntings

was younger I should preface that we live in Central Florida which is about an hourish from mouseland Disney World oh I was say what's mouseland when I first read this I to was like what is mouseland I need to go there Mickey Mouse Mickey Mouse so they're like an hour outside of Orlando okay my son being a baby of priorities only learned the baby sign language for feed me or pick me up and everything else went in one eye and out the other this is important given my mother-in-law who unfortunately passed away from cancer when my son was barely a year old no and there were many times after when he was still not fully verbal yet that I would be doing chores or I'd be doing something in the apartment given that I was a stay-at-home mom and have him sitting in the family room which is an open plan setting in our place and he would be playing with toys and I would catch him making the up up sign to thin air I would just say hi Mom thanks for stopping by and maybe give her a brief

update or two and there would be a warm feeling throughout the apartment for a while after that's really sweet I know when he was approaching 2 years old my best friend from the UK came to stay and she wanted to go to St Augustine given that she had heard a ton of creepy stories from me about this place yeah from my three and a half years of college there I feel like we did hear these stories from krona on our campfire store stories I think we did too it was before we went to St Augustine right or was it after I think it was after I do remember this because it was on campfire stories I think and then krona had also shared about going to a haunted castle campfire stories as well I periodically like to physically torture myself and go back there for a visit such as for my honeymoon and this is one such time we were touring the Castillo de San Marco and we were in the chapel when my kiddo starts loudly getting agitated and pointing to of the nearby benches where

there's apparently nobody a few minutes later one of the tourists in the room sits down on the bench and the kiddo gets agitated again and is waving at the guy and making the shoe motions to him which we later decided meant that there was maybe a ghost there and the Taurus man sat on him oh wait this is the story that she shared on cire stories is it why is my brain not remembering anything okay not to be outdone by myself a little while later when we were in another area of the Castillo I don't remember the specific name of the room but if you've been there you'll know it's that little crawl space into another chamber which I can never bring myself to go in I know exactly what she's talking about so you like go into one of the rooms and there's a bunch of artifacts I think it's like maybe like the tool or weapon area and then in the corner like closest to the wall that is where you would enter like the the wall that faces the courtyard there's like a tiny little Archway and kids can run in and out but like as an adult you really have to crouch down to get through it to

get into the Next Room creepy that kind of reminds me of Zach Ban's the haunted Museum where you had to crawl through that tunnel to get to the other room or even remember in Beacon Hill books and Cafe in Beacon Hill that one's really cute yeah the little door it's like seven and 3/4 or or whatever it is and you crawl through it on the top floor kiddo is getting agitated again and he keeps pointing to the back left corner of the room and his face is really scrunched and he's really focused and this either means that he's going to poop or is trying really hard to do something that he's not quite capable of yet it seemed to me that he was trying to say some words that maybe he didn't have yet and there was just a variety of sounds that came out and he kept looking to the same corner and nodding and trying out some more sounds I could feel his frustration yeah he's trying to express himself yeah after a bit of coaxing he manages W Roar he's sad he hurt and then he makes a throat slitting motion and just like okay now is a good

time for ice cream yes all let's go get some ice cream and we left the fort for the day given that the baby was talking about things and using words and gestures that he should not know the word sad sure hurt maybe but the war we can only interpret this as Warrior so yeah that's what I was thinking and the last of the stories for now is about his ghost friend when he was almost two we moved into our first house with an actual yard and so he and I would spend a lot of time outside as we were blessed with the good chunk of nice weather here and our yard was relatively Shady compared to a lot of the land here there was a little bit of an area where the grass just couldn't beat the sandy soil that we have here so I would let him go play around in the sand pit he was at a point probably about four years old or so where I would let him play in the sand pit for a while without direct supervision I'd be putting around the Garden or painting in the house or something and he would be in my periphery one day he was very clearly having a conversation with someone while

way hi ladies yeah you heard that right I work at a haunted preschool I worked there in Utah from 2011 to 2021 I'm not going to give too many details about the location just in case the parent is listening but oh my gosh boy oh boy do I have stories for you for a little background this preschool has been in operation since 1986 and consists of four separate buildings two of which were once homes before being turned into a preschool the third building was built in the early '90s and the fourth building was purchased from the company next to the preschool so my mom also worked there in the early '90s and found out she was pregnant with me while working there I also attended as a child so I personally have a lot of history with this school that's really cool yeah and also just like the fact that the preschool does have a lot of

years under its belt like it's seen some history it's had a lot of different kids coming in a lot of different Sears baby psychics but I also like this idea that maybe Shannon had way more experiences and encounters because the school was familiar with her yeah that's a good point it remembered her from Udo in the womb to her being a teacher there okay I'll start with my experiences and then I'll tell the stories that I heard from co-workers my very first experience was when I was about 22 years old old and I was an early morning teacher and would take School AG kids to school from our preschool at about 7:15 a.m. I was with the elementary school kids in the third building this is the one that was built in the 9s this building consists of five classrooms that all have their own door that lead outside and then a door that leads to the bathroom and adjacent classrooms so basically you can access all five classrooms once inside without having to go back outside all of the doors that lead outside are large metal doors that you can hear someone open them no matter what classroom you are in so I was in one of the classrooms with

the elementary school kids about seven of them when we started to hear someone walking into the classroom next to us and then walk into another classroom the kids look at me and asked if someone was there because we didn't hear any of the doors open but we all heard the footsteps I asked if one of the kids wanted to walk into the other rooms to see if there was another child who might have been trying to play in another room alone okay wait so she's just sending she's sending a singular child to go go over the footstep are coming from I think they did a buddy system so two kids went over there to check okay when send them as tribute but when they came back they said no one was there another morning sometime after I was with the elementary school kids again and I was talking to a girl who was about 8 years old my back was to an open door that led to another classroom and I noticed she kept looking over my shoulder toward that doorway so I thought maybe this kid was trying to scare me and I turned around and there was nothing there so I asked this girl what she kept looking at and that's when she stared directly into

my eyes and said that the dark figure of a person was in the doorway and every time that she would glance over at it it disappeared I made the dumb choice to ask her to draw what she saw because I wanted to see if I was understanding what she was telling me and guess what she drew a dark figure of a person standing right behind me no thank you nightmare a few years later I was in the same building but with a different class teaching prek ages 4 to 5 and it was about 9:00 in the morning and I was starting Circle time with the kids where they would sit and I read a book to them and we would sing songs and all of a sudden from the corner of my eye I saw one of my students crawl around a shelf to hide I said please come back and sit with the class but I got no response so again I said if you're hiding behind the Shelf please come back and join the class that point all of the kids are turning looking at the Shelf then looking at me kind of weird and one of the kids goes M who are you talking to

so I stood up I walked over to where I saw this child crawl and there was no child where I thought I saw the child crawl was an area of the class where there is one way in and one way out so there's no way they could have gone somewhere else I counted my kids again to make sure they were all there and they were spooky oh God I also love that the kids are like okay teacher's crazy yeah and you would think also with like a a whole group of kids well it started out with like all of the kids hear the footsteps but I feel like every other experience after that is like some people experience it and some people don't so you're kind of like what the hell's going on and what's happening to me and can I keep my cool in front of all of these children and there's so many different types of ghosts like there's ghost kid there's a shadow figure okay the last few years I worked at the preschool I worked in the office as an administrator and then the director one morning very very early at about 6:20 in the morning I was sitting at the front desk getting ready for the kids to show up and this was the fourth building that had been purchased in the

early 2000s it had an upstairs where we had a break room and a resource room for the teachers as I was sitting at the front desk I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and I said out loud do you need anything before going to class thinking that the opening teacher was coming down the stairs but I didn't get a response and then I realized that the opening teacher had not arrived yet and I was totally alone uhoh I was spooked and couldn't wait for my co-workers to arrive especially since it was still dark outside it freaked me out that I was so sure that someone was coming down the stairs that I tried talking to the person that I thought was coming down another day during nap time in the converted house I was with the three-year-olds and I noticed a little boy who kept fidgeting so I went over to make sure he was okay and this wasn't my class and so I was just helping during nap time and I realized I didn't know this boy so I thought he must be new and was having a hard time adjusting to school so I tried to comfort him but he kept pointing up to the ceiling right above him and he was trying to press himself into his nap mat like he was trying to further himself away from whatever he was seeing in the ceiling oh

God I didn't see anything and the next day I tried to find him in class to see how he was doing but he wasn't there and I never saw him again I honestly don't know if he never came back to school or if this was just another ghost child it's like a ghost on ghost haunting I know okay now here are some experiences my past co-workers told me every night we had cleaning crew come and clean out all the classrooms take out garbage Etc in one of the buildings is a large room and the infant room one day the lead night cleaner came in a little early to talk to me and asked me if staff sometimes stays later after we close I said no but I asked why and she said that sometimes when the cleaning crew goes into this infant building there will be one of the rocking chairs moving like someone is sitting on it but no one is there all of the windows are closed it can't be the wind she also said that her cleaners don't want to clean the infant room alone because they have an uneasy feeling when they're in there I feel like this was This Woman's way of

just basically being like I need to tell you about the hauntings like she knew no one was there oh she knew there she knew one time okay maybe you're like oh that's weird maybe I just missed someone leaving but for it to consistently happen like she's just trying to be like hey by the way are there daytime hauntings cuz there are certainly nighttime ones like I need confirmation that this place is haunted so I don't feel like I'm going crazy right there was a teacher who worked in the infant room that told me once that her kids who were aged 9 months to 18 months would sometimes point up at the same corner of the ceiling and start to cry or whimper it only have happened a few times but if I was the teacher in there at the time I would have noped right out of there taking all of the kids with me so in the same class where that child was whimpering during nap time another teacher told me that when they were in that classroom also during nap time there was a little girl who kept talking to herself so this teacher went over to her and told her that she needed to be quiet so that she wouldn't wake the other kids the child looked at her and said she couldn't fall asleep because something kept coming out of the cupboards the teacher asked the child

what she meant because all the doors of the cupboards were closed and locked the child just looked up at him and said his name is Sebastian he has a diamond and no eyes and then this little girl turned went to sleep nope nope nope I did not like going into that cing nap time after that this feels like another type of creature like is this a little fairy or something cuz it's coming out of the cupboard it has no eyes but it's like my name is Sebastian and here's my diamond that's a weird that's weird I feel you're putting like a fun cartoony character version on this which I it does feel like here's my diamond but it almost feels like treasure I don't know okay there was another time again during nap time I hate that all these ghosts are doing things during nap time I know in the building that had five classrooms and there was a teacher that said one day she was helping a child fall asleep when she saw another child standing by the bookshelf looking at all the books she quietly called to the child and said they needed to go

back to the napm and try to sleep once she said that the child ran across the room ran right through the wall and poof disappeared again nope wait I'm so curious if this kid looked exactly like the kid that she saw that she thought was cing yeah or the one that was looking up at the ceiling being scared like how many ghost children are here or are there none and there's just one thing masquerading as many different types of children well she writes that I should note that when we have nap time it's very very dark in these rooms so it's you can see the shape of the kids but not their faces so that's most of the stories that I can remember from my time at the school I will say that the children didn't know that the teachers and staff thought the school was haunted we kept it to ourselves until someone would bring it up outside of work hours but other than all the spooky stories I have very fond memories of this school and miss it very much I live in Arizona now but every time I visit I try to say hello to my old co-workers who are still there they tell me that they don't ever talk about the ghost which has since been named Sebastian to new teachers and

going to die in the swimming pool I was like okay buddy whatever you say but we don't even have a pool so I brushed it off as just like weird things that toddlers say never get a house with a pool I know fast forward about six months and I decide to give him swimming lessons the instructor was trying to coax him into the pool and he was very apprehensive he finally gets in and it's time to go underwater and he is losing he freaking mind he runs out of the pool he's shaking he's sobbing we decided to just call it quits for the time being and in the car I asked Jackie why are you so scared of going underwater and he replies when I went underwater from before I didn't wake up and then I woke up here with you oh poor baby I look back at him and he's staring out the window and he says my brother didn't go into the water and he was an old man when he passed away chills oh my gosh I can't help but think that his imaginary friend was his

that Z wasn't even home I've even been woken up in the middle of the night to the mimic Whispering mom in my ear and actually feeling the breath on my ear thankfully this mimic has calmed down since I had STI but I'm worried it will start mimicking her now too because oh STI too is creepy oh no there was one time when she was 2 years old we were at my husband's grandparents house and this house is very haunted ESP especially the basement like no one likes going down there well stie who has no idea that there is even a basement takes my hand and starts walking me to the basement door telling me come on they're calling me we have to go downstairs no do not follow that child I said excuse me and she says they're calling me downstairs let's go I immediately tell her heck no I not going downstairs and I tried to distract her and change the subject I have many other stories of these two and they have done so many creepy things and encountered even more I'll send those another time
